Awful. I haven't been able to get into my unit since I've put my things in there. It's been over a year and I'm laying on a unit I don't have access to I pay EVERY MONTH!!! and do not have access to my things. Getting in touch with these people is a headache. I came from out of state to bring my husbands death certificate and they still haven't changed the name on the account out of his name. Every month I pay I have to see his name on the account and it reminds me of what I've lost. I signed paperwork and they never gave me copies of the paperwork. It's so hard to get in touch with them, all they focus on is auctioning storage units but if you need actual help the appointments will take forever. TERRIBLE place. TERRIBLE service. If you're okay paying to never see your things again here is the place. It would be zero stars if this was an option. look elsewhere. read more

Escondido location: Very easy process online, everything worked as expected. Love the app based entry! The young man working yesterday afternoon was VERY nice even though I had a bad attitude due to some aggravations that day. In the past, I've found workers to be rude and unkind so I guess that's what I was expecting but he was the opposite. Very refreshing. read more

I rarely need to use storage facilities to store my belongings, but because my new residence is not ready l needed to store everything as quick as possible. The week before, I came to the storage location in Escondido and talked to a male store manager about pricing. He told me to go online and reserve a unit. Then return to fill out all necessary paperwork, as well as processing fees and lock fee. I told him that I only had Monday off and that would be the day that I came by. Monday comes and no manager is on site. I try to navigate the website to call someone and had issues. Finally I reached a female from a call center who explained that I could do everything myself online and that the unit would be selected for me and that the unit would already have the lock in it. I would have liked for there to be hours posted on the front of the office. I would have liked an explanation of why there was no manager on site at 1:45pm. I would have liked to be able to pick my unit since their were so many available and the one I got was the furthest from any door or elevator. Everyone should know that the pricing in the office, from the bar code sticker on the door and from the website do not match. I would recommend that everyone who wants a unit here just go online and set up your storage needs remotely. Much better pricing and no room for improper information from employees. I finally got my unit around 5pm leaving me with a few short hours to load everything into it. I even ran a little past closing to offload everything. The next morning I received a text message stating that was my final warning about going past the posted hours. read more

Simple, straightforward and available. They had the size unit we were looking for and loading/unloading was no problem at all. Today we moved out and the push cart was missing from our unit's building so we went to the office and asked for help locating one. Amelia (sp?) was super helpful and found us one right away. Thank you! We no longer need storage but if we do again I will look to public storage first. read more

The space was clean. The lighting is automatic. The bathroom was clean. The price was low. The access app works well. The lady that helped me was intelligent, pleasant, and helpful. The hours of operation are convenient. Moving in and out were uncomplicated. Parking is limited, but was never a problem. Altogether, a good business. Sorry they are useless. For one thing they lure you there with special rates and after a few months raise the rates by 30 pct. Then, nobody seems to be responsible. The clerk at the address says they have nothing to do with it and can't give a good phone number to call. Calling the 800 number is a dead end black box. We protested to the credit card company who rescinded the charges. Then, they said you can't use that card and insisted on bank payments that can't be protested. The state of California has sud them for years about this and they settle with the state, then keep doing it. Also, they will not rent out the unit without bogus needless insurance. However, this, too, is illegal in California. Doesn't matter to them. They won't do it. Also, hand trucks that are supposed to be available never are around and it's impossible to find one. The store clerks, as we said, are useless. Hed to use a unit for stuff and had no choice, now finally vacating. WARNING, unless you must, look elsewhere. read more

we were having trouble paying for our storage unit online so we came to the storage and the nicest lady named Laurie helped us get everything sorted. when we went to go se the storage someone else had their lock on it( it was supposed to be availabl) Laurie was able to find the same size unit for us and transfer us over to a different unit. she is incredible. she was able to figure out how to do the unit transfer. all at the same rate. he service was very good, she walked is over to our unit and made sure everything was perfect for us. I do recommend this place. ( if you need to talk it to someone at the front desk I recommend you call ahead of time and set up an appointment, because they go throughout the storage place checking locks and things like that so it's helpful for them to know that they need to be at the front desk at a certain time.) :) read more

I am a 100% disabled Veteran. I began moving out of my 10x15 storage unit on June 29 2023 because they raised my rent, after only 4 months, 63 dollars to almost 300 dollars. The difference between $230 and $293 is huge! I hired two people to help me. I was not able to finish moving everything that day because I injured my back lifting. I couldn't rent another van until the 3rd because of the 1st of the month and the 4th of July. July 3rd I alone finished the move. I spoke to the man in the office and explained why I was unable to finish until the 3rd. I did not have automatic payments because I had to juggle bills on the first. Someone set me up for automatic payments and said that I had done it on June 5th. I did NOT! They took the money out of my account without my permission. That has to be illegal. I called the police. I called Public Storage. They recorded the phone call. Whatever you do, Do Not Rent Space from them! There are never any carts available and there is too often no one in the office. read more

First time having to use a storage unit and completely regret choosing this place. For starters they gave my reserved unit to someone else. I have gone to the office 3 times now during open hours and there is no one there. It has now been six days since I rented this unit and when I went back today my unit had a new lock and my old one had been cut off. I go to the front desk and there is no one there. The only worker had to stop her lunch she was having in her car to help me out so props to her. I am then told that she doesn't know why someone else took my lock off and replaced it with a lock that Public Storage sells. There is no note in my account that would explain this situation. I am then told that I would have to hire a locksmith, without any reimbursement, to remove the new and strange lock or that I would have to wait 2 weeks for their regional manager to return from his vacation since he is the only one who can break a lock. She then called her superior and I could hear her through the phone saying the same thing with zero sense of urgency or care. It baffles me how there is only ONE person who can break the locks and when he leaves on a 3 week vacation we all just have to wait for him to return. So for the next 2 weeks I dont know if all my belongings have been vandalized and/or stolen thanks to their management choice of only having one person in the whole region who can break a lock. The only good thing is that I got the insurance for my unit even though I know that if I do have to make a claim, that's going to be another headache and weeks or months before I receive any compensation. The one dollar for your first month is really enticing but take my advice and look elsewhere. Some place where they have at least 2 people on staff and cameras near your unit. I will update this review depending on how the manager handles this situation when he returns. read more

I have been a customer of storage for quite some time and I must say this property is brand spanking new management is on top of it everything was immaculate and locating my storage unit was a smooth transition. Everyone knows that moving can be stressful as it is but storing should never be that complicated we have enough to do it and I just wanna say thank you so much to this facility for being on top of it. read more

We decided to move out of our unit because the rent was raised twice in the last 6 months and not by small increments. There are never any carts available and parking is very limited. I do have to say though that Lavie, the employee working on the day we moved out, was very helpful. He gave us all the information we needed regarding the protocol for moving out and called us later in the day to let us know that the move was complete and we were all square with the company. We will miss the location of the facility (right down the street from our condo) but won't miss the exorbitant cost. The employee working gets a 5 star review. The facility itself gets a 3 star review and corporate decisions to raise rental costs so often and substantially get a 1 star review. read more

The facility is very clean and Maria was on duty and extremely helpful and professional, she went above and beyond to be helpful and make my hectic moving day as smooth as possible. Beware of this storage building the they issue their own locks to you and then they break into your units. This happen to me last week . Anthony the manager had called me and told me someone broke into my unit and that he would follow up with footage he never did even after the police department and insurance company asked him for the footage. This Location is very unsecure and shady. They also go into your storage unit without permission . read more

This facility looks new and impressive, but beware! After only renting a unit there for 10 days, I had thousands of dollars worth of recording equipt. Stolen from this place. The locking mechanism on the unit was faulty. The management has been uncooperative and also failed to do the daily evening walkthrough that would have alerted them to the unlocked status of my unit. Several other customers I spoke with randomly also said they had been the victims of theft there. Other issues include, no cell service once inside the building. Often no one in office during biz hours. Issues with gate opening when correct code has been entered. Really slow elevators. I was informed by management that they were not obligated to share video with me regarding the time of my theft. Stay clear of this place. Everyone feels that staff all involved with all these thefts. read more
