I had a storage unit here for almost 5 years. The price kept increasing about every 6 months. I found dead mice in the units and bugs. I got tired of the price increases and found a storage unit business that was half the price of what I was paying for Public Storage, AND I got a climate controlled unit there too. It was fine for what it was, but not for the price and not to have climate control. I've moved on. Oh, the worst thing, when I went to check out on like the 5th of the month, I had to pay the whole month's fee. And I gave a notice. So not cool. read more

I've only been there for 3 days but the customer service lady who booked the unit over the phone was so nice and I had to get corporate to unlock the gate to get out of the place bc the units are marked incorrectly and took me 15 minutes to find it. read more

I had the absolute worst luck with this place, first off the door says open mon-fri, here I am at the location on a Wednesday and noones there. So I'm like ok I'll do it online then, so I did it online thinking oh I'll get it today, which I desperately needed access same day. It did NOT tell me the I wouldn't have access to the unit till next day until after I processed my payment. Then I call the customer service this lady was so very rude and told me oh well that locations closed today,ok, I know this I just need access today, then she transferred me to the actual storage unit line where I was.... so of course no answer, because noone is there again. Then I thought I'd give them a call one more time yes I got my reservation canceled and asked for a refund this lady also was super rude. Never in my life have I dealt with such ridiculous idiocity in my life. I'd give 0 stars if I could. If you like to have rude customer service people than this is the place for you.... smh read more

I needed a smaller storage unit and everywhere I looked the units were overpriced and too big for my needs. My neighbor recommended Public Storage. I went to their website and within minutes i had reserved the perfect size unit I needed at a fair price. Upon my arrival at the East Ridge location I met with the property manager Karen. She was very helpful and knowledgeable and answered all the questions I asked. I would highly reccomend. read more

I was a walk-in customer. Staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of available units. Appreciate the month-to-month rental agreement. Unit was very clean. I also appreciate the driveways between storage unit buildings. They are extra wide and in good repair. I do think the required insurance policy is an unethical rip-off gimmick and should be done away with. They don't tell you about it until AFTER they've gotten you all signed up. I've rented storage units multiple times in several different states and have NEVER encountered a mandatory insurance policy. read more

My brother used them a few years ago when he needed to store something, and he had a great service while he was storing his belongings in this facility for a few months. Now, I am moving back home, and they were the first ones I thought of while I have to store some things myself for a month. I couldn't have asked for better service! I called Public Storage to make a reservation, and Alethia called me back right after from this reservation to set a time and date to come and visit and get ready to move my stuff in. Moving from Knoxville to Chattanooga soon and searching for a large storage unit. I stopped by "the other guys" place called Jepco and the service was horrible and not to mention not even close to where I needed to be. Then I took a look at the Public Storage in East Ridge. BINGO... Right down the road where I will be relocating and not to mention Stacey treated me like family!! Stacey took her time with me and will have me all set up next month! I've been a faithful client for over 5 years, paying in full and on time every single month with no problem. The only things you can count on with Public Storage of East Ridge are that your monthly fee will consistently increase at exponential rates and the level of customer service will consistently plummet with the same outrageous velocity. I initiated my move out process months ago. Since I haven't seen the inside of my unit in 5 years, I was unable to locate my key. I've dealt with 3 different people regarding this issue, every one of them saying different things. Follow through is a foreign concept to these folks. I am now successfully being able to vacate, 3 months later but only after driving from Atlanta twice and being told I must pay $22 for a new lock, since an empty unit that will no longer be mine just has to be locked. This is despite presenting an email from the district manager saying I wouldn't have to purchase a new lock since an earlier associate promised me I wouldn't have to because I'm vacating. I called the property 3 times prior to departing Atlanta this last time to confirm that what the DM told me would be honored. No answer, no returned phone call despite my request for one. So after two 240 mile round trips, $22 additional on top of my regular monthly fees, being lied to, and being "taken care of" by a ghetto middle-aged woman named Karen (who ignored every phone call while I was in the office but not b/c she was helping anyone, who wouldn't address me until she was done eating her Frito Lay potato chips, and took time to answer a personal call on her cell phone), it looks like I'm seeing light at the end of the tunnel. BY FAR, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have EVER encountered in my entire life. The service at the local Burger King seems like The Waldorf Astoria in comparison to this dump. read more
