I have had a storage unit at this Public Storage for over two years. Rochelle has always been fabulous! Unfortunately, she had to take family leave and while she was gone, my storage unit was broken into. Yes, they took a lot of my valuables that were family heirlooms and it's been heartbreaking. The reason I am complaining is not just because I was broken into but because it might've been an inside job. Whenever you go into the Public Storage, you always get an email and they ask you how was your visit? So whoever broke into my unit had access to the property. Further, the door going into where we had several 10 x 10 units has a camera facing the door so you can definitely look at footage and see who is putting stuff into their cars. Anyway, they had a couple of different people covering more than one property while Rochelle has been gone. He said he reviewed the footage and there was nothing. I filed a police report and I gave so much detail about everything. Anyway, also if you ask about what they cover if you buy their insurance, which is like an extra $20 a month depending on the storage unit size that you have. So ultimately I think for my size they would cover up to $2500. Which I had over $30,000 worth of stuff stolen. Anyway, they gave me back the rent I was paying for that month which was like $138. I moved out within two days. Gretchen the district manager was kind of in and out on the whole deal but honestly, they just really didn't care. And so I am giving an extremely negative review because the insurance if you were to buy it is bogus. And I just think that you need to ask all the questions and not be naïve thinking your storage unit won't get broken into. The people that broke into it just cut the lock and it seems like they had time to just go back to my storage unit and cherry pick what they wanted from my unit. Sometimes people read reviews and sometimes they don't, but I would just tell you that if you really value some of your stuff, don't put it in storage. Keep it on your person at all times. Unless you have a Fort Knox sort of Storage then go with that. Hopefully this is helpful. read more

They get you into a unit at one price, wait until you move stuff in, then raise the price. But then you go back online, and they are still offering the same unit for the same price to new clients. This is obviously just a ploy to get you in, then hope that since you already moved stuff in, you would be to lazy to move it out and just deal with them MORE THAN DOUBLING the price. Do not fall for it, not a good business practice. read more

Zero stars if possible , they started raising my rent on month 2 it went from 186 to 401 in a year . You couldnt get in touch with anyone to talk about it . So I didn't pay one month and they called me the first day hmmm . Then they blocked my access and I had to pay over 900 to get in my locker. Then when I showed up they said I owed another 75 first . Their business practice should be illegal , they are scummy company . read more

Today I logged in to pay my unit rent. Someone, somewhere within PUBLIC STORAGE enrolled me in AUTO PAY without my knowledge or approval. I've had this unit over 15 years, if I wanted AUTO PAY, I would have signed up a long time ago. Storage rent stated at $25 a month, now $106 for a 5'x5' unit. It won't be long before I will move out. read more

The person I spoke to about renting a unit was very helpful. I received an access code and thought I was all set. When the mover with a truck went to put my things in the unit, he couldn't get in because the code was wrong. read more

The latch on my unit has been broke since March, the first time I'd been back after locking it in January. I've had a work order in for a month and now I can not get anyone on the phone or to return a voicemail. I'm honestly at a loss of what to do, partly the reason for this review. Storage Rental easiest and most convenient transaction I have done in a long while. Simply found online the unit size I wanted quickly clicked through to reserve and pay for. 2 hours later confirmation unit was ready. Went to drop items. Everything as described, clean unit, lock and key inside unit for security. WOW. Usually do not review but compelled to since this process was so easy...at a Storage facility none the less. read more

Good promotion of $1 for the first month. That's where the positives end. I can't yet speak to the security of this place, but I can say that customer service here is bad. Will rented my unit to me and wasn't anywhere near friendly. His answers to my questions: Me: Do you rent trucks to your customers? Will: Nope. Me: Have you had break-ins since you've worked here? Will: Sure. Me: What do you do when that happens? Will: (shrugging) Nothing. Call the customer. And that's just a small snippet of our conversation. His main focus was to try to upsell me locks and insurance policies. He's not a friendly guy, and I question the security of this place. It's the kind of spot you use for the first month to take advantage of the promotion and then find a better company. Thank goodness I'm only storing boxes here. There are better facilities out there--use them. read more

Horrible company and location. Its just stupid and petty to threan to add a lien fee over 21.20 which was a late fee and has been less then 2 months. With everything going on with covid that just shows what a crap they stand for. Bottom line all they care about is money not the customers. read more

No empathy from customer service agent when I notified them that my unit had been broken into and everything valuable was taken (guns, collectors items, family items, electronics) and the agent never left her chair to even say I am sorry. I admit that I shouldn't have stored such things in a storage unit, but one would think it would be safe at a Public Storage facility. Very disappointed in myself for renting at this location, especially since there are no security safeguards for my belongings (other than a lock on the storage unit) and I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. read more

BEWARE: They raise your rate out of no where. Just two days ago I logged in to see when my autopay was going to come out, and the rate was already raised by $2 from my previous rate, and then today when I made sure it was taken out, it was raised another $3 without any warning. When I called, they said they do this periodically due to supply and demand. I was not sent any notification of a change being made. read more

The storage unit is a storage unit. What makes this particular business special is the warm and professional manner in which I was treated by the staff. Kay obviously knows her business and was able to move through the process very efficiently and effectively. My wife and I rented two units and dealt with Kay both times. Each time Kay gave us the necessary information in a clear and precise presentation. I appreciated the clarity. read more

I have been a customer with this facility for over 14 months. I have seen advertised on TV lately that they are offering $1 for the first month. I went and looked at all my statements since I have been with them, and noticed I had never got that promotion. I pay $236 a month for a 10'10 unit. I decided to call today and speak with the property manager on duty who I believe his name was Will. He informed me that promotion is for new customers only, and when I signed up there was no promotions. I asked if he could honor that promotion for me since I have been a loyal customer since April of 2015. He was very rude and informed me there was nothing he was going to do. As a manager, I would not see why you would be willing to lose a loyal customer who's bill is almost $250 a month. Since he refused to do anything for me, I decided to call around and explore my options. I found the same storage unit with another company for $129 a month and I will be getting the first month free. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE. The managers clearly don't care about guest satisfaction or even their customers in general. Will should not be a manager for this company. I also asked him if there was someone else above him I could get a hold of and he told me no. This is a big company so I know that is not the case. It's unfortunate that someone like him is managing a property and potentially losing a lot of business for this company. read more

Although this is an older facility it is clean and they had exactly the unit that I required. The check in process was quick and the customer service provided by Aby was excellent! She walked me through the entire process in just a few minutes and was very helpful! read more

Cheri was very helpful and had great tips on how to pack and store my things.

Cheri was a big help when we were transferring units and even drove down to pick me up to complete the paperwork. What I did not like was the corporate policy because I could not complete the transfer in one day I moved my official transfer one day and they raised the price 10%. I have units at Public Storage for 15 years and that is the way they treat loyalty. read more
