This facility is very dirty. Dirt comes up through the floor. The units are not sealed tight so wind blows through and covers your belongings with dirt. Had to set several mouse traps to keep up with the rodents. The last straw was the facility suddenly raising the price $120 per month With no explanation. read more

I have a unit at mini u on county line by the Ferrari car dealership. I have only been with them for less than than a year and this place is the best. I was with PS, and the first few months we're good,but then the past 2:years went to hell. The facility location by centennial park has rude people. The main office,however had friendly people. I have been late on my fees and went into auction a few times, but I paid what I could when I could. This location reminds me of a student loan company. I highly recommend MINI U to anyone. They are awesome. Julie and I think the other lady is Maria (I'm sorry if i got it wrong) are fabulous. I can't say enough good things about them. read more

I can only comment on the truck rental side of the business, but I must say I was very impressed with the Penske truck and service I received. When I arrived to pick up my truck, they had all my paper work and truck ready to go. When I realized I reserved a truck that was way to large, they happily updated my reservation and got me into a small vehicle. The truck itself was by far one of the nicest I had used. They did a nice job cleaning the truck storage area and driver's cab out. When I returned the truck, the experience was just as positive and quick. read more

My credit card company sent me a new card when my old one expired but didn't tell me that the number had changed. As a result, my auto payment was missed for the first time since being a customer. When I called to explain the situation I was told that the late fee could not be waived but was not given a reason. I think this was very unfair and am very diasappointed. I will be closing my unit at the end of the month. This facility just lost a customer over $15.00. Hope it was worth it. read more

The WORST! Don't use ANY Mini U Storage facility. I have moved 11 times in the past 7 years and have never dealt with this type of unprofessionalism and incompetency. I reserved my 10x10 locker approx. 30 days ahead of time and was given a confirmation code for my rate of $1 for first month. Near move-in, I called to confirm my space and was told they don't reserve space and they don't give confirmation codes and that I can just show up. I called later feeling completely confused and was told by another employee that he remembered making my reservation, but that my rate had expired. He then said his computer was down. I asked for the manager who reiterated that their quotes are only good for 7 days and I made my reservation too far in advance. Um, 1 month in advance, moving from CA is the way this type-A rolls. I then asked for their corporate office and hung up. The manager called me back within 1 minute, literally, to tell me she'd honor the $1 for first month rate they quoted with my confirmation. ....it get's better. When I arrived on move-in day, after traveling 1100 miles, I was shown a locker that was down a dark, windy 4' wide hallway and was questionably a true 10x 10 locker. The locker had a standard 7' door opening with a 90 degree angle to get in. Really? I asked why it didn't have a normal garage-door, slider and the befuddled employee said those are only on the drive up ones and are extra. He then said he didn't have any, but he could rent me a larger locker for more. After expressing my disdain, he called a sister property that said they had a 10x10 locker and was told they would honor the $1 move-in special that I was guaranteed, but that I'd have to pay for 2 months in advance. What planet did these guys get their business ethics from? They literally are making up their own rules as they go. I drove over to the sister property, moving crew in tow, and was shown the 10x10 unit only to be informed that it is not truly a 10x10 and if I wanted a true 10x10, my rate was even higher!! By this time, tears were almost streaming and I just clocked an hour of time with my movers waiting for me to unload my truck. I was caught between a rock and hard spot. I ended up renting the "true" 10x10, paying $124 for the first month (instead of my $1 for first month move-in rate that I was quoted and given a confirmation number for) and felt totally disgusted by the entire upsell show. I would NEVER, EVER use this company again or recommend. They are unethical, unprofessional and an ill-run company. How they're in business is beyond me! I've learned s*** flows down stream so I can only surmise that the Dahn Corporation in Irvine are a bunch of douche bags! DON'T USE! read more

These guys have been really helpful to us as we've coped with a move that involved a delay between the sale of one house and the purchase of the next. They helped us get two adjacent storage units, made the truck available on multiple occasions, and been friendly throughout. The half-off for the first month deal has been financially good for us, too. The units themselves are all you need, though they are not climate controlled, and I think they will do the job for pretty much any temporary storage of household items situation. read more
