I had to store a bunch of boxed items for a while, and this facility was less than 10 minutes from…read moremy house. I ended up getting a 6' X 10' climate controlled space. The indoor part of the facility used to be a supermarket or department store, so it is quite large. The whole place is clean, well lit, and the air conditioning is better than I expected. Nicely cool in the summer, and comfortably warm in the winter. My unit was on the end, right near the curbside door, but I noticed looking down the aisles that they are very wide, if you wanted to access your unit while the tenant across did the same, there would be no problem. The roll-up door worked smoothly, and the built-in lock eliminates having to buy or supply a padlock. There are always plenty of flatbed carts available. Not 24 hour access, but you can get in 7:30 am to 10 pm every day, holidays included. Office staff very friendly and helpful, and the managers live onsite. Even when the office was closed, a few times when I went to my unit, I saw one of the managers, so they don't close up the office and disappear. Although I didn't have a need for it, I noticed they have plenty of room for outside storage (like vehicles & equipment) and again, it is clean and well organized. If I ever need storage again, I will definitely return here.

When I called Extra Space, I was told that there was a 10x20 unit available and that they did indeed take annual payments. They said that they would have to do it in two charges of six months each. But after taking the first payment, the story suddenly changed and I was told that I could not pay for the second six months in advance. So, now I'm forced to find another facility and move my belongings a second time. Had they initially told me that I couldn't pay annually, I would have kept searching for another unit. The amount of time and expense that I will have to spend in order to move my belongings again makes me furious. On the positive side, the unit was immaculately clean, and carts are available to move belongings. It seems to be a safe place to leave belongings. For those reasons, I'm giving them two stars.

The manager, Mark personally reached out to me multiple times to ask what he can do to help, told the entire facility what was going on and even offered to come in on off hours to personally move the car into storage safely so it wouldn't be stuck out on the street. Everyone in the facility has been helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who needs storage. I don't write reviews very often, but I felt the need to write one for Cleveland Storage because hard work and going the extra mile to make life easier for people should be rewarded.

Ultimately what will happen is anything at stored outside will be vandalized and they have no security cameras That are capturing every angle of everything. Since they are personal property, police can come onto your property and take pictures and stand on whatever they want to to capture whatever they need to form a petty misdemeanor investigation. Do not store your outdoor units or vehicles here as there's no way nor a guarantee that it will be secured and protected.

Customer service from "10 Federal self storage " in garner tried to get me to purchase this unit over the phone without seeing it first. They offered a great deal! I asked to go look at the unit first and the representative said sure I can come and there are people there to assist me. I get there and there is no one on site . Office door is locked ! . I call the number back and they say "oh we don't have staff at this unit, you have to call us by phone only and we will purchase the unit with you over the phone then you will have access to the unit of choice ( no option to see it first before purchasing!) you then have 24 hours to view the unit and cancel if you don't like it then wait 3-4 business days for a refund...what!! The only way to view the unit is to purchase it . This is madness. . I waisted gas and time driving to this place.

I have currently been standing in front of the gate for 24 minutes trying to get in. 17 minutes we're on the phone with a staff member who was really awesome and I'm no closer to getting inside the facility. The fact that I can't access what is inside of the storage unit is the reason for the one star rating. This facility gives you the option to text the word "open" 919-642-4646. Once you do that, i received an auto text that reads" your account must be past due" that's why your code doesn't work. My account is auto drafted and is paid in full and has always been. The telephone staff gave me a different code to try and that didn't work. Then she sent an override code so she could open the gate and that didn't work. I understand that these things happen, but this is the fifth time in four months that I've had this problem. Every time it leaves me without access to what I have in the storage unit. The fence and gate issue needs to be addressed immediately and their needs to be real customer service.
