I just signed up for a storage unit at the end of last week. I compared this place to 3 other storage facilities in the Burbank area and decided on this one. For 4 reasons... 1. I like that it's clean and spacious. Not just when you come in to park, the lobby and the driveway to the storage area. In comparison to the other places I looked at, this one looked the best. 2. There is a huge lobby area with everything you can possibly need from tape, boxes, mattress/couch covers, bubble wrap, etc. 3. The climate control throughout is nice as the other facilities I looked didn't have it. And finally... 4. Mary helped me find the storage unit for me and was super helpful. She never pressured me to take the unit right away and allowed me to compare and reserve online. She then helped me the next day with the paperwork. We haven't put things in storage yet as I got really busy, but will do so soon. If things change I will update my review. So far a good facility to rent storage at. read more

I concur with Deneh P. Today I received notice my unit is going up $70 per month, starting in 30 days. I'm a retiree with a fixed income and simply am being priced out. True it's very clean, secure and climate controlled, both Mary and Griselda have been very kind and professional. However. $604 + $15 insurance for a space is just too much. The rent being charged has gone from $377 in 2018 to $619 in 2022 for a 10'x15' space. read more

I had a unit at the Burbank facility on Hollywood Way for three and a half years and loved the facility and staff--at that time Mary was there and was always extremely nice, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Fast forward another three and a half years and I found myself in need of a storage space again. I reserved a unit to check out at another location because they were having a special, but the place looked so sketchy that I drove right by. I am happy to say that I am back at the facility on H'wood Way, and Mary is still there! And still great--she went above and beyond to give me amazing customer service--I was in a jam and she made the time to help me out! Compared to other self storage places (including other PS facilities) this Public Storage facility has been pretty solid for the last 3 or 4 years I've used it. They gave us a good deal on a 4x10 unit upstairs and never increased their rates, or tried anything like that. The place is clean, access is secure, code entry all throughout. They offer some 24hr/outside access units, which is very useful. The staff have been pretty cool throughout. Only a few real annoyances for me have been when the office person is off helping someone with their unit or on a break or something and they lock the office door. This is problematic if you've given your ID to them to use one of the free carts there. And I sometimes wish elevator/inside unit access was later than 9pm, but again, this the norm for most secure self-storage places--with the exception being the few ground units that have 24hr access. The only other issue I have with this place is turning left out onto Hollywood Way can take awhile on busy days!! Overall though, those are pretty small issues compared to other storage places we've been to, so this little Public Storage gets a solid recommendation from me. read more

At first my experience with Public Storage was pretty great, however the rent was raised in the second year twice totaling a raise of 20%, after spending several days trying to talk to someone in customer service to find out how often rent was supposed to go up and how much, they tell me they don't know, rent can be raised at anytime with only a 30 day notice. When you ask to speak to a manager they tell you there is none, you have to leave a voicemail on another phone number and after two weeks nobody called me back. I now pay almost double what the rent is at comparable storage facilities in the area, now I will need to spend over a weekend moving everything to another storage facility. Let's not also forget that the Elevator is scary as hell, randomly jerks downward while riding in it, makes awful noises, I am just waiting for the day I get stuck in it. read more

The service provided is excellent. That being said, do not put anyone in the "in case of emergency" field. If you already have someone there, go to the office and ask them to remove it. If your bill is late for LESS THAN 30 DAYS, they send the bill to whoever is in that field. read more
