"Public Storage," of 1005 RR #70, is by far, the greatest Storage Facility that I've ever encountered, as God knows, I've have moved far too many times than I've ever wanted, not by choice, yet, despite all of that added stress, "Kym," there, has made it the least stressful out of all of my many different moves over the past 20 plus years!!* She was very friendly, respectful and helpful. rented A unit on 4/21/26 363$ a month. I just received notice that my new monthly payment starting on 10/1/26 will be 521.00 a month due to inflation a 44% increase . I told the site Manager this is basically extortion she said that she would reduce it for 3 months to 401$ and if I want to downsize to a 10x10 unit after I paid a moving company 1,500 on 7/30/26 to move my Moms belongings. This company is a joke this is far from being over!!! read more

The insurance is a joke! 2 leather couches and a wood kitchen table were destroyed my mold/fugus. We paid for a climate controlled unit. Why would mold form if the climate is controlled? The value of our furniture exceeds $3000. The maximum coverage for mold is $249! We were initially told by Jessica, our adjuster, who never visited the storage unit, that the cost of the removal would be reimbursed. We were told to submit the actual paid invoice and photos of the actual furniture removal. Now, we're being told that the removal is not covered. The insurance is provided through Starr Indemnity and Liablity. Sedgwick manages the claims. Shame on all of you. No wonder people don't trust insurance companies! Be wary on renting here! Will never use again! I signed a contract, moved household items into a 10x10 unit, enrolled in autopay and after 6 months, my rent went from $85 to $116! When I called to ask why, they said I was paying below market value and they have the right to raise my monthly rent. OK, maybe 1%, 3%, 5% BUT A 36% INCREASE IS WRONG!!!! BAD BUSINESS ETHICS! Courtney was very informative and helpful. She showed us three units, all of which were clean and well lit.

I have used other storage facilities in the past, but none have been as good as Public Storage in Brick, NJ (RT. 70). The customer service is excellent... Kym and the rest of the property managers are very courteous and easy to talk to. They go over all the options available, so you can determine what is best for you. The monthly rate, and the promotions they offer, sure make it hard to leave! Though, why would I want to leave a facility where the ease of access is amazing, the customer service is phenomenal, and the cleanliness of the storage facilities are second to none. Mold! Climate control unit is only temp controlled and they do not monitor humidity. My items became covered in mold in less than 2 months. I was told this was not happening to anyone else, however spoke with others who have had to remove and remediate everything because of mold. This company is ruthless and completely useless. We have been homeless for 8 months and haven't been able to get jobs. We got the unit at a low price ..$40 & 5 months in they upped the cost to $70 plus insurance they claim is required and a lock fee. We are now 2 months behind and have to pay $358 to get in...and that's not including June. They charge multiple lein fees within each month and Late fees. Not once have they authorized the fees to be taken away when the office submitted it so we could afford it. I will NEVER rent from them again. That unit is about to go into auction and we can't even get a live person on the phone. My great grandmother's items are in there and all my husbands work tools which he can't get bc they locked us out ...so no work. Overall 2 stars is too much. Very sad. read more

I am a customer (with a storage unit) at the Public Storage at 1005 Rt#70 Brick. I want to pay my outlandish storage bill in person (not on line, in a kiosk, or by satellite. ) Because of the shortage of employees available at the office (since they are sometimes out in the buildings etc) I have needed to return a few times, or will call ahead to make sure someone is there. This past weekend,there was a problem with the computer, and my payment could not be processed. Since PS charges late fees after the 6th of the month of $37.80 I made sure it was noted on my account, that I tried to pay but could not because of a PS computer issue. Today (10/7/24 Monday) went in to pay, but the computer was charging me the late fee. Kym patiently listened to my problem, and got the late fee eliminated. Thank you Kym! read more

The worst storage company I have ever encountered. Rate for a 10x10 unit increased from $165 to $403 over a four year period. At the same time, new customers were being offered a rate of $128. I was lectured by customer service about supply and demand. However, they could not respond when I asked why these economic forces weren't impacting the new customer rate. This is just a bait and switch operation that hopes customers aren't paying attention. Stay away. read more

This storage facility is a rip off. I closed out a very large unit this past May, leaving the keys and lock inside the storage unit as directed, it was not locked when I left. They are now trying to charge my daughter for another month stating the unit was locked. They threatened to send her to collections. Be aware! read more

I recently started using this location and both Kathleen and Kym have been extremely helpful and accommodating. I had never used a storage facility before and I am extremely grateful for their kindness and assistance. Prior to choosing this location I had dealt with staff at other locations who were not very eager to provide me with info and help me find an appropriate unit. This was not the case at this location and I highly recommend using this facility based on the service they provided alone. read more

This place is a money pit Less than 6 months after renting the price went up 27% The building and unit are not climate controlled. When I first went to check out the units there were fans and heaters in the hall. After renting the unit I returned 6 months later to find the building no longer had fans in the hallways I could immediately smell mold and mildew. I would not recommend this facility nor would I ever rent from Public Storage again. read more

Within the 6 months that I have secured my space, I have reached out for different reasons to staff. The facility is not staffed efficiently or effectively. It's very difficult to find anyone to answer questions on site. Many times doors of office is locked during the day. Bathrooms locked. Calls are not returned promptly. Prices are not competitive. Prices are too high. Would not recommend this facility at this time. read more

This company is HORRIBLE, and they somehow keep getting worse! First they keep failing my autopay, then they fail to notify me until the day I'm getting late charges. Scam! Then, to re-enable autopay, I have to go in and fight with the people in the office. I used to just call, but their 800 number is all automated now. This company absolutely sucks. Store your crap somewhere else. Trust me, if you do business with these morons, you will eventually regret it. read more

Needed space relatively quickly and checked a bunch of different places nearby. This location is perfect. Easily reached for deliveries and for my own use. The space was clean, large enough and everything on the property was well maintained. The office/store is well stocked with everything I may need for shipping and/or storage. Following up from my review last month, at least a District Manager reached out to me to discuss the problems and concerns I voiced about this property and he has promised to visit the property and inspect it. I cannot ask for much more than that, so hopefully the property will be back in good working order, cleaned up, doors and lighting working. Time will tell, but again the personal contact was much appreciated, at the very least it shows that PS is concerned about their property as well as their customers. read more

Needed a storage space for a couple of weeks to hold our stuff while moving from NJ to PA. We got an amazing 1st month rate for a large drive-up space. Bryan, the property manager, was supper helpful/friendly when we came in for our scheduled appointment (which he had called and made with us when he saw we had registered for the space online). He went over all the logistics with us and had us up and running in a short amount of time. The space was pretty clean (I mean, it's a drive-up storage space). I went to close out today and Bryan immediately addressed me by first-name/knew my storage number by heart when I walked through the door. Pretty impressive and makes you feel like a valued customer. All and all, I am very happy with my time at this Public Storage and highly recommend it to anyone in the area. read more

This facility is full of mold. They said that it is remediated but how do you remediate a mold issue when you cannot get into the affected areas? When you rent a storage unite you have the expectation of your stuff not getting moldy but this is not the case. The facility manager, when I went to go get something out of my unit warned me of the mold issue and that they had known about it for about a month but she was told to only notify those who had insurance on their units. What kind of business practice is that? When you go into the building, you immediately can smell the issue and then when going to get my belongings out can feel my throat closing and I can't be in there any longer than 15 minutes. When I called the district manager she said they cannot help b/c I didn't get insurance but the facility manager told me that she would fight for me to get some reparation because the issue was within the whole building. If I wanted moldy belongings I would have left them outside in the elements. read more

Cannot be happier with the whole process. First of all, the Public storage website lists all the available units in our area so we were able to shop and compare prices from the comfort of our home (by the way, public storage beat the competition every time). Making the reservation was the easiest thing ever and by reserving online we got a reduced price. Also, our unit had the first month free so we are extremely happy with that! Move in day went off without a hitch. The property was clean, neat and organized. Kassandra greeted us warmly and took her time checking us in. She showed how to use the gate keypad, the proper way to lock the storage unit, and explained important safety features like how to store fragile items. It was a little confusing about how the billing works because we moved in during the middle of the month but the rent is due on the first and we are supposed to get first month free. No worries because Kassandra is super friendly and knowledgeable so she was able to break it down and explain in an easy to understand way. There were plenty of dollies available for the move which were big sturdy industrial wood and metal types that rolled real easy. Also there were plenty of packing materials available in the office so convenient in case we needed anything no need to interrupt the move by running off to a hardware store. The facility was easy to find and the web enrollment process also simple. I was treated with courtesy and everything was explained. The unit was satisfactory, the only issues I had were the carts provided to move items were in disrepair. One was broken and the other two had wheels that didn't work properly. It made my move in twice as difficult. Otherwise everything was good. read more

Horrible! Forced me to take the insurance, saying it was a requirement or I couldn't have the unit, even though I pointed out in the contract where it said it was optional.. I canceled it 2 days later and they refuse to refund me the unused premium, after I was told I would! The property manager won't return my calls. The property manager, Bryan was very helpful, professional, and informative. I rented a climate controlled unit on the second floor and the temperature/humidity were satisfactory. The facility was clean and secure. The only reason the property did not get a five was that there was a strong musty smell on the first floor of the inside storage. HOWEVER, it had been raining quite a bit, the temperatures outside were fluctuating between the 50's and close to 90 at times. There were fans blowing, so I imagine the odor will dissipate as the weather settles down. read more
