I read many online reviews for a few local storage locations. What impressed me about this location was that every review I read, raves about Mike. I called and guess who answered? Yep. Mike. He was very professional over the phone. Later that afternoon I arrived to get our storage unit. Mike answered all of my questions. And, to say ALL of them, I had many. Julie is amazing!!!!!!! Due to some difficulties with living situations I had storage lockers three separate times over the last year. She was always friendly, ready to listen to my drama even though she didn't need to and always offered a kind word and best wishes on whatever I was doing at the moment. I was thrilled by the convenience of the renting a storage unit process! I went online to reserve a space and 30 minutes later I was moving my stuff in. They make it super easy to do on their website. Everything from choosing your size and type of unit to filing out paperwork for a quicker in person checkout. When I got to the location I was greeted by Mike who was super helpful! He drove me over to my unit in a golf cart and showed me how to work the lock. When all was said and done I just had to sign a few papers and I was on my way! Gate access code written down and keys in hand. Wife went in. Quoted a price of $120/month for a 5x5 unit. She told him she has better price online and other places. He kept on giving her prices above what she could get online or other places. Wasn't helpful and she left feeling like he was just trying to take advantage of her. We'll go someplace else. read more

Very reasonable rates and friendly staff. We were able to move into our storage unit immediately. All additional move in expenses were explained in detail and we had no problem removing the mandatory temporary insurance once we verified our homeowner's policy covered property in storage. I went online to reserve a unit before actually visiting the location, I was happy to know that I could save a spot and move in on my convenience. When I went in to view the unit I was pleased that the sign up process took less than 20 mins. The man at the front desk was very friendly and answered all my questions with no hesitation (He clearly knew what he was talking about, which is always a plus)! I can't seem to remember his name but I believe he was the manager for the location (Sorry). When I did finally move in I had a problem opening the unit door, the office attendant was very prompt to help me with the issue and was very apologetic about the situation (Even though he had nothing to do with the problem). The place is very well kept and the grounds are kept clean, Makes me feel good in knowing that I'm leaving my valuables there. The rates are fair and I LOVE that our insurance can be waived since we have our own insurance on properties. read more

Moving on short notice I went online to look up storage units to put excess items in. I checked a few prices and nearby places and settled on this facility. I reserved a space online (very easy!) and got a phone call within 5 minutes checking on the rental and when I was planning on stopping by. I gave a time and went there today, the place was very clean and Mike was extremely helpful. I had to bring my two kids with me (8 months and 4 years) and he made it a priority to go through everything and do so quickly for the kids. Great overall experience! I was dreading doing storage rental and Public Storage made it the easiest part of the move. read more

I went to this property in May, 2015, and I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by a very cheerful, smiling and knowledgeable Public Storage employee, whose name was Corrine. She introduced herself, and made me feel good about storing my items with this company. This facility was exceptionally clean, well maintained and easy to locate. I did rent the unit in this location, based on the service, appearance of the facility, and ease of use. I would recommend anyone looking for a storage, to visit this location. UPDATE - They finally reached out and closed my account in good standing. Everything went well, up until it was time to close my account and vacate. I informed them I was vacating my unit on 12/30. Moved out 12/31 but they failed to close my account. On 1/1 they were closed due to the holiday. On 1/2 they stated they couldn't close the account now because there was a balance of $105 for the month of January since they bill on the first of every month. This is exactly why I vacated at the end of the month to not be billed for a month I wouldn't be there. They said it won't be an issue because "the district manager can easily clear your account and we can then close it". They just needed to contact the DM and they would call me back. When I didn't hear by the next day, I called. No answer, I left a message. 3rd day no call back, I went in & they were closed even though they shouldn't have been. Another day I go in and the lady tells me that the DM had a baby so he'd be out for a while. But there was an acting manager who would help, again they would contact me. 2 weeks now and NO ONE HAS contacted me. I keep calling and leaving messages for both the retail location and the district manager. Of course I haven't heard back and my account is considered delinquent. Why should I have to gift them my money when I am not using the storage unit & they REFUSE to close my account when I asked! I will continue to call, leave messages, and visit the location until the fix this issue. read more

Did not know I could have my ups driver deliver directly to my storage unit. Game changer!

Mike has been great all the way from my first call to reserve the unit until start of my rental. I rented at a Public Storage in CA and am moving my items from there to a Public Storage here. With movers with a big trailer truck, Mike suggested the unit I should get for the movers to drive up to it for easy unload. He also spoke with my mover driver to ensure both are on the same page. As our boxes are not shrink wrapped he offered great advice to cover the floor with plastic sheets to keep the ground moisture from seeping into our stuff. It has been great so far with Mike. When the mover arrived the storage unit I reserved did not work out for the mover and hence had to change it. Mike was accommodating with the request. Unfortunately, I lost my internet rate and had to pay a higher on-site rent for a smaller unit. Every thing has gone well so far. read more

BAIT AND SWITCH!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILITY!!!!!!!!! At the end of October, I made a reservation online for a 10'x10' indoor climate control, first floor unit with first month rent being $1, following months being $75/mo. I received an email with my confirmation number, price guarantees, and the Unit promised to me that same evening. The next morning, I got a phone call from the front desk confirming with me that I was, in fact, moving in on the day I had reserved online. Saturday, October 27th, I arrived at Public Storage, with the moving truck I rented (and was on a time limit) and a few kind friends helping me (who were also on a time limit). I brought my confirmation email and showed the guy at the front Matt or Mike or something, and he said he did not have a unit available at that price. Are. You. Kidding. Me?! He kept trying to tell me that he could give me a different unit at that price, or the unit I want at $100. I said, I have a confirmation from this location promising me this unit at this price, that's what I want, so make it happen. He kept trying to say there was nothing he could do, no one he could call, blah blah blah. Imagine my frustration at this point. Thankfully, my mom calmly reasoned with him and we came to the agreement that he would get it all figured out for us the following Monday as long as we just paid the move in fee today. He also promised that he would refund part of the fee we paid because it was based on the $100 rent instead of the $75 rent I was promised. Fast forward to Monday/Tuesday, front desk guy calls to let me know they are trying to get it figured out, manager lady calls to let me know they are trying to figure it out and it will be taken care of no later than November 2nd. She also said that she wants me to take my credit card off file so that I am not accidentally charged even more while they get it figured out. Fast forward to NOVEMBER 12. I receive an email now saying that my unit is locked until I pay $117............ So, not only have they NOT gotten a very simple issue resolved, but they have now created a bigger issue by locking me out of my storage unit and demanding me to pay money THAT I DO NOT OWE!!!!!!! ***Side Note: I also want to add that when I was finishing putting things into my unit on October 30, I ran in to an elderly woman moving things out of her unit. I asked her if she was moving out or in, She said "out, because they are trying to raise my rent $25/month even though I have a contract guaranteeing $75/month until I move out." Sound familiar? So clearly, I am not the only person they are trying to screw over here!! VERY SHADY way to do business!!!! My fight with them is not over! read more

We set up our storage unit via the website, and were met by Amber at the office. She was able to take us to our unit promptly. Unfortunately, the first unit did not meet our needs: it was the correct size but had two "closet doors" rather than a single "garage door." Amber had anticipated the possible problem and had a list of alternate units available, even though they didn't meet our exact reservation, so that we knew all of the options available. She was organized, professional and friendly. This is our second time renting at this location and, thanks to Amber, see no need to look anywhere else. read more

I I had been using another company's storage facility for over a year and realized I needed a larger unit. I was surprised to hear the much higher pricing so I started checking around and found Public Storage. On the phone they were very helpful and able to give me a great price on a unit. When I arrived at the location in Naperville, I realized I had misunderstood what type of unit it was. The people there were able to find another one of their locations with the type of unit I was looking for. It took me only a few minutes to get to their other location and the employee, Amber, was there waiting to help me. She was friendly and well informed on what I needed. Right away she showed me to the storage I had hoped for. Within a few minutes I had the papers all signed and finished the process of obtaining the unit. Amber was very patient with me as far as making sure I understood how the lock worked, how to enter in the code to gain entry and what their hours are. I also felt she went above and beyond when I had returned a few hours later and saw that she had spread extra salt down in front of my unit for my safety. Great job! read more
