We tried a well known South African Shot called a Springbok Shooter ; named after the national rugby team due to its green and gold colorshot. My friend being a native swore by this classic. For her to have a rough day and still have the grace and compassion to make my stupid GF/VG chick'n pot pie dreams come true.....well, yeah, it made me a bit teary eyed. The pot pie was delicious, as expected. It was nostalgic and comforting, like a big hug in a bowl. The flavors were rich and deep, the biscuit soft and flaky; it was one of the most delicious things i've tasted on my GF/VEG journey. He was funny, personable, and one of those people who instantly makes you feel comfortable. By the end of the night, it felt like we'd made a new friend. I've always believed that people make experiences memorable, and Cosmo is exactly the kind of person every restaurant hopes guests remember. I think they were depending on the nori chips to bridge the gap, but those didn't taste the greatest. Finally the pretzel bites were okay, but nothing I couldn't get at another gastropub for a much lower price. The drinks were fine, but not that strong. I ordered the Glacier Peak which was beautiful and refreshing.
