We were only able to order takeout because the place is reservation-only. The owner, Kat, is very friendly and sweet. She described the philosophy driving the restaurant as a cozy place where the limited amount of tables shouldn't burden the customer experience, hence their reservation policy. It's nice to see a business prioritize guest experience over rushing out as many covers as possible. The main point is the food. We ordered Pad Thai, Pad Kra Prow, Pad Khing Soo, and Penang Curry. Everything was fantastic. Prices were reasonable and we were left feeling very satisfied. Best Thai I've had since Lotus of Siam in Vegas. Very highly recommended!

We got the Saucy Ribs and the Moo Daeng Moo Krob (BBQ Pork) and both were incredible. The ribs were tender and packed with flavor, while the BBQ pork and crispy pork belly combo with the egg and rice was seriously just so good. We also ordered the calamari and it was EXTRA crispy with the perfect sweet-and-sour sauce. May I dare say it may be the best calamari in Somerville. The atmosphere is always such a good vibe and the servers are so nice.

Each dish was so flavorful and fresh. The duck was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and plated in a delicious curry. The drunken noddles came with chicken and shrimp, and were loaded with yummy veggies. The Mussaman Curry had lots of beef and veggies, and the curry sauce itself was so fragrant, flavorful, and rich. The Pla Rad Prik was similar to the duck in that it was crispy on the outside and very warm and tender on the inside. It came with a similar sauce to the duck, and was plated with beautiful vibrant veggies on top. The ambiance of Thai Kitchen is excellent. I was very impressed when i walked in by the cozy and warm, yet upscale decor. It has the vibe of a small, upscale thai restaurant that you could find in Manhattan. I would definitely come back and bring friends if I was showing them around the neighborhood. The service was similarly warm and upscale. We received each of our dishes quickly and with a friendly smile. This is DEFINITELY going to be my new go-to for thai in this area.

The roti canai was ok. It was not the best I have tasted. I couldn't really taste the curry. It was a little on the sweet side with a spicy kick. And the potatoes should be more cooked to bring out the starch. This would make the soup a little thick. They used white chicken meat. It would have been better if they used the chicken thighs. It would have made it more tasty! Their pancake is more like a pancake. It was a little small. I am more familiar with the Indian style pancake, big, thin, and crispy on the outside. And stretchy when you pulled it apart to take a piece. We ordered two BBQ beef and beef pad khing. The BBQ beef was very good. They came out with it on a hot cast iron square plate! They poured the BBQ sauce, and the sauce was sizzling! The portion was small for the price! I would have loved a little pepper flakes to give it a kick. But I am not the chef. The beef pad khing, was good. It would have been better if the beef were seared! We really didn't taste the ginger even though it was supposed to go have ginger. And I didn't see any scallions. But the taste was good. The crispy pan

We stopped in for lunch when we were passing through on a Saturday afternoon and I would describe…read morethis as a very low-key Thai restaurant that offers all the staples and some more. There are probably about 8 tables for dining in and the lights were dimmed just a tad too much for optimal viewing of the menu. To begin, we got the Chicken Satay which came with 4 nice-sized pieces of chicken that was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The peanut sauce was excellent. For the mains, we got Chicken Pad Thai (level 3 spicy) and Chicken Chili Noodle (level 1 spicy). Both spice levels were on point and both dishes tasted great. The portion size of the Chili Noodle seemed a bit small compared to other restaurants we frequent, but it will still enough for a satisfying lunch. The Pad Thai portion was good. There was just one server on a Saturday afternoon taking care of us along with one other table of regulars, but service was a bit slow. The food came out quickly after placing our order though. Overall, a pretty good experience and we would stop by again if we are in the area to try some more dishes. If they can get the portion size and service sorted, this would be a 5 star restaurant.

The broth was decent, but the dumplings tasted like something made from old shoes. Not great, but unfortunately not the worst part of the meal. That honor goes to the Pineapple Cashew entrée with shrimp. I paid extra for shrimp and got tiny, clearly frozen pieces you'd expect from a bargain supermarket bag. Zero flavor. This was the same problem I had years ago, so clearly nothing has changed. I'm honestly relieved I chose takeout. Eating in would've been miserable -- they had the front door propped open on an 85‑degree day. This place has been around forever and clearly has its regulars. I will never be one of them.
