This place has gone down hill the last couple of years. (I think they are under new management). I've been coming here for over 20 years but its now borderline inedible. Sadly I will stop going. The wonton soup is SO bland. They no longer include some pork and scallions in the broth. I often order the Hunan triple delight entree which comes with an egg roll and pork fried rice. As I did tonight. The egg roll wasn't an egg roll. Not sure what it was but it wasn't tasty and wasn't anything I've ever seen before. Had very low expectations for this place given that when I last looked it up on Yelp it was 2 1/2 stars and saw that it was now 3 stars and decided to give it a go. They give you A LOT of food and it's priced very fair in all honesty. We got a large chicken & brocoli, a large Lo mein, general tso's, 6 egg rolls and a large brown rice and it was $45. Egg rolls were on point, Lo mein was amazing and chicken and broccoli was greasy but REALLY good. I have been going to Bo Bo for over 15 years and particularly enjoy the sesame shrimp, Spicy triple delight and moo shu pork. Always busy and always hot and freshly prepared. Drove by this place a hundred times and stopped in today for a lunch special. It looked tired and smelled like fry oil that was last changed in the mid 20th Century. Against my better judgement I ordered the #1. It came quickly and was cheap, which usually makes up for other deficiencies, but not in this case. The chicken was hard and the rice reminded me of plastic. If you care about anything, drive 4 more minutes and eat at China 3 on Rt. 22. Delicious Sesame Shrimp dinner includes 12 shrimp, rice, and lots of steamed broccoli, with the most wonderful sesame sauce! I absolutely recommend it! My husband had Moo Shu Pork, with 5 slender pancakes that we assumed was used to wrap up the pork, and a great sauce. I have been here a couple of times b/c I needed food quick. The food here I would say is pretty bad for chinese, I wouldn't even give them a average chinese, b/c some of the food tastes old/stale. A couple of times I tried their shrimp combo and I think I got sick from this food b/c while I was eating it, it had a weird smell to it. Decent take out Chinese. I've been inside and actually seen them preparing the food fresh, which is a huge plus. Their pork Lo Mein is delicious. The pieces of pork didn't have that funky taste that a lot of other Chinese food places have. Went there for lunch on Monday, their lunch menu is good but we really wanted to eat Kung pao shrimp which was on the dinner menu, at first the owner was a bit hesitant but finally gave in. Been trying Bobos, once in a while, for years. Some dishes are good( chicken chop sui, kung bo chicken..., others have been disappointing (orange chicken... no broccoli twice!). Lo Mein was dried out and lacked any additions of veggies or meats. The last order of BBQ ribs were overcooked and dried out. My advice by my recent experiences are to avoid this place. They've just gone down hill. The cleanliness of the establishment is also highly questionable, filthy cooking areas, filthy floors and sticky tables. Need I say more. Best Chinese restaurant in town. I've been going there for years and my kids love their General tso's chicken. They won't eat Chinese food anywhere else. I order from them at least once a week. They also have great people working there, it's always the same friendly faces I see everytime I go in.
