Went in this morning. They've changed their setup, where I have to get my own doughnuts. Not a fan of others touching what I want to buy. Like Allen's. Not impressed. read more

Delicious orange rolls and a surprise in the red velvet cake donut. Much better than the Dunkin' Donuts.

Those crunchy donuts are heavenly. I don't think the orange rolls even need mentioning they are so good. Provo Bakery = perfect Saturday a.m. treat! read more

They have a delicious maple doughnut! The only other doughnut I tried was the glazed. It was ok. Krispy Kreme honestly has a better glazed doughnut. It's a clean appealing place. Definitely will go back again! read more

I've had some amazing baked goods from the Provo bakery: the honey bran muffins are usually great, as are the orange roll. But honestly, half the time I go there my food is dried out and stale. I hesitated to write a review because I just kept giving them chance after chance. But they really need to step it up. Don't sell me a cookie that is (or tastes like it's) several days old. Despite living very close, I've almost stopped going because I kept getting medicore baked goods. Also the hours are terrible. Closing at 6 pm? Really? Closed on Mondays? read more

This review for the cherry turnover. And the honey bran muffin. Both are super delicious! Super fresh.

The only place in Provo where you can buy legit donuts! Nice friendly service. Great selection. (I only come here for donuts)

If I must get donuts in Provo (and I must) I go here. I have had donuts everywhere, and I kid you not, the chocolate cake donuts with chocolate frosting are the best I have ever had. (although don't be afraid of the slightly red color. I keep telling myself it's the cocoa in the frosting, but I'm no baker, so heck if I know.) I might have gotten up a half an hour early this morning just to stop by before work. The buttermilk donuts are also fantastic. The other cake donuts are just okay. The glazed are superb. The apple fritters are amazing if they're fresh, otherwise they're just really good. Don't go for the danishes, though. Not so awesome. I will mention as far as pricing goes, their larger donuts/items are a little over priced, but other than that everything is good. read more

I tried about 10 different things and I just thought they were okay, a little pricey for the size of their product. I was happy with their cinnamon rolls, however. Also, I went in at 10 am on a Friday and wasn't impressed with the freshness of the doughnuts or muffins. I'd probably go somewhere else next time my prego cravings kick in for better quality at a comparable price. My husband felt the same way. read more

This bakery is awesome. It is very unassuming and the food is delicious. The peanut butter and chocolate cups are to die for.

Great variety of donuts we love their croissants cream filled and plane. Maple and chocolate bars are delicious and their orange and raspberry rolls are wonderful! Be sure to go early they run out of the cream filled croissants pretty early sometimes before 9am. read more

They had flies flying around in the bakery. You KNOW those things were landing on the food. Eww! Do you know how flies eat? Suffice to say, I will never eat anything from Provo Bakery again. read more

Had a craving for an alligator jaw. I went in and they didn't have any in the counter. Rats! But, when I asked, she said they had some in the back! She brought it out and it looked pretty good, although they put raspberry filling in theirs, which isn't a good thing. I bought it and went out in the car and took a big bite. Ugh - it was cold - must have come from the refrigerator, and it was stale. It must have been day old. I've been wanting one for the last few years and nobody makes them. Then a friend told me they made them at this bakery. I shouldn't have listened. I won't be back. Nothing worse than a dried out alligator jaw. read more

Donuts so good you will try to come at 7 in the morning to buy a $5 box of yesterday's donuts only to find the people there before you took the good boxes and now you have to spend $11.32 to buy a box of today's assorted donuts. And you leave feeling like you got a deal. Seriously finger liking good! read more

Go here if you're lookin' to send your blood sugar on a good ole' fashion roller coaster ride. Everything is extremely sweet; which is awesome if that's what you're looking for. I don't really have much of a sweet tooth (except for a deep love of ice cream)and as a result I was almost option-less. The only thing that appealed to me was the bran muffin, but it eats more like a bran cupcake. It's like a caramelized ball of bran- lots of sugar. Anyway, not really my cup of tea, but if you love sweets this place is probably gonna be your sugar-coma-inducing jam. read more

Great bakery, great selection, great prices. Go early, they run out fast! Also, they reallllly need to start selling coffee! And better orange juice. read more

We had been wanting to try out Provo Bakery and finally went last week. It was just as great as everyone had told us. The donuts were fantastic especially the maple bar! read more

I had never heard of them before but, I just stumbled upon them online and they did not disappoint. The maple bars have fluffy creamy frosting. The Bavarian cream is amazing, not too sweet. The the raspberry filling tastes like real raspberries. The buttermilk bars and delicious. Not too dense or sweet. I would nightly recommend. read more

When I was a kid, my cousin would walk me to the bakery every time I came to visit to get me an alligator jaw. I recently just moved to the neighborhood myself and was reminded of the bakery. I had my husband stop by and get me an alligator jaw just for old time's sake, and it was even more fantastic than I remember it! I love the quality of goods the bakery has, the location, the hometown non-commercial feel and the variety of treats. My only complaint would be that they don't always have what you want, and sometimes it's hard to tell pricing until it's too late (you're already buying it). read more

I have been a fan of Provo Bakery for years and years. They have been consistent in the superior quality and taste that they are known for. From the honey-bran muffins, which are a little piece of heaven, to the apple or raspberry fritters you will be hard pressed to find better quality. Except the cake donuts. Has the ownership changed hands? I used to buy the cake donuts that were perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft and 'melt in your mouth' on the inside. The last three times the cake part of the donut tastes like it was made the night before or baked, then frozen. The frosting is always fresh, although the amount of frosting gets less and less on the bars. Raise the price if needed, but please bring the quality back that you are known for. read more

Web site says 24 hour notice for cake orders but refused to take my order for a cake saying that they have to have 48 hours notice. On a positive note, they wished me good luck in finding another bakery. I will definitely find another bakery. read more

I've fallen in love with the donut holes and eclairs here. a piece of heaven with each bite, you can't go wrong. i got introduced to this bakery a couple of years ago, and i've never looked back. read more

Because of the Kiwi connection at this bakery, whenever we have family or friends come to BYU or the MTC, we know that when we order something to deliver, it will be what we here in New Zealand expect and know our children would love. I don't think deliveries to MTC are their thing, but I s'pose because we call from so far away, our order is always accepted without question. In the past, we've had donuts and cream buns like we have in our stores, made for our children. They have reported that they are as good as, sometimes better than, those they were able to buy here. They have a little taste of Kiwi which helps with the homesickness, and so, just for that, PB for us is definitely 5-star. When we have visited Utah, we have always enjoyed a variety of goodies from PB. Sure, the building ain't your Magnolia, but it serves its purpose adequately. Just thought I'd post this review. I am about to call to see if I can have a small box of mixed Kiwi & USA fare delivered to someone who has just arrived there from Kiwiland. Hope they'll oblige. If not, all good. I'll write a follow-up review after I've ordered and let you know how it went. ;) Oops, yelp doesn't even have New Zealand in its countries? Oh no, I'll have to sign in with Australia as my country. Not impressed! ;) read more

You guys nailed the Raider's logo for my husband's birthday cake! We will be back for all future birthday's!

I stopped by to get donut holes for my daughters school class. I ended up getting a couple of donuts. The smell was so overwhelming I had to eat one in the car before I made it to her school. I worked my way through college making donuts and these were fresh and tasty. read more

This used to be my very most favorite bakery in town...there still are not really any other local doughnut shops, but the doughnuts have gone a little downhill - I think it has changed owners a few times over the last couple of years or manure head bakers or something but it's just not quite what it used to be. The service is always great though! read more

We decided to walk to the bakery. It started raining half way there, and with 7 kids we were a not as fast as usual. I arrived with 7 soaking wet children under the age of eight at 4:01pm. They would not let us in. Needless to say I am not impressed. read more

Shocked (but not actually surprised) that this is a well reviewed bakery. Provo, with all its poor taste college students are what keeps this in business, much like that atrocity know as Brick Oven. The donuts, which is something I covet and love more than any other pastry, were pedestrian. I could easily grab a fresh Smiths, or even Reams donut, and put it in a Provo Bakery brown box and take it to work and everyone would simply die for how good they are. Its a simple place, with basic flavors but should have no 5 stars. I wish Dunkin Donuts was in this area, at least they are cheap, fast, and they have Munchkins which are just awesome. read more

literally everything I have had here is delicious. the staff is very knowledgable about all of their products and are always willing to help. I get a raspberry roll every time I go in! I had to stop going daily because I gained my freshman fifteen, but love going for the occasional treat read more

I am pretty bummed out that they don't offer coffee, but the girl that helped us was super sweet. The treats look so delicious that I bought more than I intended to. read more

We just threw away a box of donuts that were raw in the center (like squishy raw dough that you play with before you put it in the oven). These were the old-fashioned glazed bars. This was my first and last experience with Provo Bakery. 6/29/2012. read more

Apple and Raspberry Fritters, Maple Bar, Buttermilk Bar, Dounts - Provo Bakery was a favorite growing up, it was a real treat to have a pastry from there with my family. I now live 25 miles from Provo Bakery and was in town on Saturday morning April 14, 2012 to pick-up my granddaughter. I stopped by the Bakery to pick-up a surprize for my family back home. I'm the one that got the surprize! The Fritter's I bought were full of GREASE. I counld not believe the amount of GREASE that came off the napkin, and if you pinched the Fritter the Grease Dripped. If I lived closer, I would of taken them back and showed them what they had sold as apple and raspberry Fritters was a mouth full of GREASE! I called to talk to the Manager or the Baker and was told they had left for the day and to call back on Tuesday Morning before 9am. What a waste of money and time. Provo Bakery better make some changes or they won't be in business much longer. Maybe people like a GREASE Dripping Fritter (maple bar), but this family does not. We will go the extra miles next time and go to Lehi Bakery, for a Great Fritter, Maple Bar or any type of pastry that will be lite and full of flavor, time after time, without the GREASE. This is the third time we have tried Provo Bakery, and once again we were very disappointed. I won't waste my money on bringing home GREASE anymore. read more
