The same friendly beertender we knew from before was working, so that was nice. They currently have some wine options along with 13 local beers & 2 local ciders on tap, and you can view their current tap list on their website. Now THAT is pretty amazing! Remembering my name after only one previous visit--and with a week and a half between visits--is exactly the kind of personal touch that makes a place special. For my third visit, I brought a couple of friends along. Candace took great care of us and did an amazing job as well. We started with the Italian meatball soup, and it was phenomenal. We also tried the fajita tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. While sitting at a regular table this time, I noticed some pretty impressive accolades on the wall. Uptown Barrel Room was named Best Wine Bar and Best Seafood in 2023, and Best Wine Bar again in 2024. It's always fun finding those little neighborhood gems, especially when you're new to an area. Two friends confirmed to her that I had not been lying, but she continued to insist otherwise. I spoke with the owner to explain the situation. Later, after leaving Underbar and going to Tip Top, the same KJ arrived there. I approached her to express that I did not appreciate being called a liar. She then represented the interaction as if I had been harassing her, which was not accurate, as I had arrived at Tip Top before she did. Overall, the situation was handled unprofessionally by the karaoke staff, and the interaction was unnecessarily confrontational.

Understaffed or poorly managed or both. My partner and I only ordered two burritos and we had to wait over 45 minutes while we watched two couples in front of us get their food before us. I also noticed that the entire staff here waits for you to say something to them in order for them to help. When you walk in, the sign says, "Please wait to be seated," but, I watched several customers stand at the door until they flagged someone down. The staff's response? "Oh, just sit anywhere." The clincher was when they gave our burritos away to someone else but didn't tell us. So, when we thought they may have either forgotten about us or lost our ticket, we asked what the deal was and that's how we found out that they gave our order away by accident and didn't tell us. They assured us that our burritos would be up right away, after almost an hour.. for just two burritos!? And, there was nothing comped or thrown in extra to say, "We sure hope you come back." Don't worry, I don't think I need to come back. There are plenty of fresh mexican restaurants that won't give our order away and not tell us about it. I gave two stars because the chef is actually pretty good. You might have good customer service but I get the feeling that it's hit or miss here.. so I hope you do. If you do and the food doesn't take too long, the burritos are packed and it does actually taste fresh. It'll be a long time until I go back.. hopefully they get a manager that knows what to do in the front of the house to match the chef's skills in the kitchen. Do not be discouraged by the exterior appearance. While it looks like a Motel 6 on the outside I can assure you that they are actually really expensive inside. I say that because we ordered the large nachos which were $15 and an extra $3 upgrade for chicken. The nachos were good but we could sit around for hours discussing if they were $18 good. The chicken was way beyond what I expect for nachos, the chips were decent and so were the beans, salsa and guacamole. Rest of the menu looks okay, I guess. But the nachos weren't really "enough for two amigos" as the menu promises. We think it might because they don't have any larger of to-go plates. read more

This food is really delicious. Since we have not been able to frequent my regular local bar and grill, my wife and I have been missing the experience of going out. We were pointed in the direction of this restaurant for take out and we were not disappointed with taste. The price is a bit high admittedly, but we are definitely going to put them on our list to visit (hopefully with friends) after the shut down comes to an end. Quality taste and good service. Only four stars because nachos are waaay over priced. I would eat here just myself at least once a week if I could get a bit of a better deal, but they do say you get what you pay for.. read more

Provecho is wonderful! Some of the best food I have ever tasted. The Mushroom Burrito is to die for and the handmade infused tequilas are Fabulous. I love all the fresh local ingredients and I am not a Cheap SOB so 5.50 for chips and salsa that taste this good is worth it. I have been going to Provecho since it opened and recommend it to all of my friends and colleagues. I am a REGULAR CUSTOMER and I keep going back because it is just that GOOD! read more

I waited 6mins for the server to tell me to sit anywhere. Before that no one even said hi or nooded or anything. I sat down at a table and sat for 10mins no water no service nothing. I used the bathroom and when I got back the server had sat someone else on at my table. All I can say is this is the rudest worst place ever. I left and not one person said anything. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode...The Taco Nazi. The "owner" and her cohort, Miss Congeniality, just don't really care about you the customer, no, it's all about "get'in PAID". Oh, yeah, and don't get the "cook" mad. I'm impressed at how uninviting those two are. And on top of that, the food has gone downhill the last year or so. Somehow they stay open. read more

One word of advice to Edward T. Stop in on one of the thrift shops in the poor neighborhood and pick yourself up a dictionary. Open it up and learn how to spell restaurant. This is my area of employment. We all enjoy eating at Provecho. read more

The huarache sencilla (a vegetarian option) with green salsa was incredibly tasty, and they brought me a bunch of salsas so I could try out different flavors. Really friendly service and a nice family restaurant tucked into the corner of a strip mall. I keep recommending it to people, and I'll be back for sure.

I usually order to go but ended up eating there. We ordered up at the counter and then went to sit…read moredown, but most of the tables were not cleaned. We ended up just sitting at a dirty table and wiped it off with some napkins. The food came out fast and hot. The employees were very nice. I really like their chips and salsa. The tacos are always delicious and they have lots of salsas to choose from. I liked the chorizo and birria tacos the best!
