Oh man I really wanted to like this place since I've been eating healthy and counting my macros. However this was not the case. I have the portobello sandwich while my hubby had the muscle builder. The presentation looked really nice, but when I had my first bite into the chicken breast I knew instantly something tasted off. I had some sort of charcoal taste in my mouth. I tried again and again thinking maybe it was just the end pieces, but the entire chicken was drowning and looked grayish in color from I'm guessing the charcoal grill they were using??? Chicken was also very bland.... I know there's salt on the table but no amount of salt was gonna help that overcooked charcoal lathered chicken. My side salad was just ok, I did get hit with some not so good "moldy tasting" pieces. I hate that I had to write this but this is my honest opinion. I did have a bite of hubby's meal and it was ok he complained it was very bland, nothing special, just the fact that they have the macros counter out for you. The vibe of the room is ok. From the pictures it looked really cool however when I went inside I felt like I was at the gym with all the advertisements. Customer service was meh. We were not greeted or asked if we had any questions, kind of awkward. We just grabbed a menu and picked out what we wanted. It was super slow in there For $40 for both of our plates... I barely ate 1/5 of my entire food and hubby tried to eat half of his. Oh well you win some you lose some. Hopefully they can come back better, until then we will not be going back. A couple months ago I posted a one star review due to a bad experience...Well, to make a long story short they most definitely made up for it. I have ordered 3 times since then and each was better than the last! I finally ordered the avocado and toast that I was avoiding because it was $17.....I gotta say, it was the best avocado toast I've had at a restaurant!! It had a PERFECT sunny side up egg! I visited this restaurant for the first time on 30 May 2019 AD after hearing multiple radio advertisements. This restaurant isn't easy to see from the road; if you can find the EoS Fitness - it's on the Northeastern corner of the same building. The atmosphere, in my opinion, is like an extension of the gym. They have the jumpy-energetic-pumping music, everybody is in workout gear and looks fit. Later, I saw a few families visit for dinner. The overall vibe is definitely "pumped-up", like you're about to hit some intense cardio with one of those super-thin chicks that lives to punish everyone. You know the type: a 22-year-old, super-energetic, no body fat whatsoever, and never-gets-winded lady who lives to cycle... In addition to their restaurant, this location does offer catering. One thing that interested me, is that they offer a "meal prep" service. You can pre-order meals to take home and enjoy during the week. This is appealing since my work schedule can vary. The price depends on the different proteins and ingredients you want per order. If you order one to two pre-made meals, they can make it while you wait. For orders of three or more, order about six hours prior, because it goes into the "bulk preparation" work flow. The price was OK for what I ordered, the meal portions were decent and everything was clean. The food tasted great and I would recommend it! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. It's unfortunate to have to write a crap review, but this place just doesn't perform. On any level. The girl behind the counter was stoned out of her mind, smelled like Marijuana (whatever do what you do). The order took ABSOLUTELY forever. We ordered at 12:15pm on a Sunday, and didn't get our food until 1:05pm. 55 minutes for two burgers. I would like to say, that the place is well built, and the food is decent. Love this place! Mocha loca and the aloha burger are my go to! People complain about pricing, but you're paying for quality food. I like knowing that if Im out and about and trying to eat better, this is always an easy option for me. I also have appreciated the service there. One time, my daughter threw one of the protein balls I'd bought before we left there. I think the owner was there and he gave me a new one to take with me. Had a heavy workout this morning and wanted to eat lean. A co worker recommended this place. I had the southwest bowl brown rice with everything else but mushroom. It was really good! I had two complaints 1) it was dry, I feel like it needed a sauce (but a healthy sauce) an avocado cilantro dressing or a salsa verde dressing maybe. 2) it was heavy on the bell pepper I ate around a good chunk of them. My other complaint isn't so much the food but their marketing. I was trying to take a picture with the bowl and PH in the background and all they had was the wall (see pics) and old advertising table place cards. While I do appreciate all healthy eating options the service is by far the worst experience I've had. Note: I rarely feel enough emotion to leave a review no matter where I am. This is a poorly run location. 1. Did not answer phones to place a pick up order to help save them sometime, but somehow when I got to the location they are opened and ready to take my order. 2. Waited way to long for just one order and no one else in the store. 3. Got my protein shakes and had to ask for napkins because it obviously overflowed when they made it and poured it into cup. My hands are sticky while writing this review. 4. I love to tip generously as I have been in similar situations in the past for similar work. Such a shame. I have given the restaurant three weeks to call me as promised, and since no one reached out to me, I am leaving this review here. The salmon was so dry that we couldn't swallow it. I asked the woman at the register if that was typical and she said "yes" but if I didn't like it she would make me another. I asked "is it going to be the same as this?" She said "yes." I asked her why there were no quinoa or avocado (which are the next best parts about this meal,) and she told me they were out of both of them. Probably should have mentioned that before I ordered it? The kids quesadilla we ordered "with only low fat mozzarella cheese and black beans" had random peppers and onions in it. When asked about it, she said that happens all the time. I asked if I needed to order it without those veggies and she said no, they don't come with them. -----?!?! I have been to multiple Protein House locations in the valley and this one is my least favorite. This is the 3rd time that their online ordering has been down and their phones aren't working. It also happens to be the 2nd time this has happened on a holiday (Labor Day today). It's almost as if they turn the systems off??? The reason this frustrates me so much is because it does take a very long time to prepare the food. I do understand why though, the food is made fresh to order which I appreciate. It's a huge waste of my time to wait. Do you care about your store? My gf is in the hospital asked me to stop at your place for food it's 7PM so I told her to call in the order and I'll p/up she called 5 times said no one answered I called 3 times and no one answered either. I walk in and there were 3 customers who had already placed their orders waiting to get it. One blonde cashier working, one girl making a smoothie and one chef on duty. In addition, there was 2 tables. Not overly busy, not even crowded so what gives? My gf mentioned that she's ordered from here a couple of times before and they messed up her order. Aren't you an established business?? I asked your cashier if the phones were down and she responded: no, we've had other calls. I said well maybe the ringer is off as she was walking away. So I called while standing at the counter and guess what!? No phones were ringing and I wasn't getting a busy signal. Two possibilities right? Phones are down or the ringer is off. I then told the blonde I'm calling your store right now but it's not even ringing (bc if it were I'd hear it). Again, with the same (could care less expression) she said oh and walked away. She was def shaking and baking, she was fast walking to take care of orders and to man the cashier but don't you realize that when you don't take phone orders it delays and backs up everything MORE not less. This place is a great way to get in your protein! Even in dishes that seem unlikely, like pancakes. My sister and I both ordered a plate of pancakes each and they were huge! We were only able to finish half of it, and we took the other half home for another meal. The prices are pretty good when you consider the amount of food you are getting for it. I can't wait to try some of the other foods on the menu! The protein pancake combo is my absolute favorite thing to order. It's worth every calorie and is a great source of protein. I happened to be in Scottsdale on Saturday and discovered ProtienHouse. I enjoyed the meal and overall experience...food was great and the atmosphere was pretty good. I was excited to find there is another Protienhouse in Gilbert so I stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Unfortunately it was the opposite of the Scottsdale location. The place was pretty dirty, floors were filthy, I could see where someone had basically mopped dirt around and it dried and looked like dried mud. The tables weren't bused, outside furniture is disgustingly dirty as it seems no one ever cleans it, just gross all around. One bathroom was out of order, the soda machine was out of order, the person delivering my food dropped the plate on the table and walked away. The fruit bowl looked like it had been sitting in the fridge for a few days and was not edible. The salad was wilted. Won't be back to this one.....I'd rather drive the 40 minutes to Scottsdale. read more

This was my first experience and most definitely my last. I took my son to lunch for his birthday. He ordered the Acai bowl and I ordered the Southwest Bowl. I paid $2.50 extra to substitute rice for vegetables thus increasing the cost of the bowl to $15.49. Ok now! So heard about this place on the radio this morning. Looked it up and happened to be 2 miles from where I was working. So glad I stopped in. Grabbed a Bison burger for me Andy coworker. They will make it medium rare for you which was nice. Great options and they didn't dry out the bison like most places. I have been wanting to check out ProteinHouse for a while and I will admit, those who I know that have gone there mentioned the pricing was a bit high. This evening, I wanted a vegetarian/vegan meal and I decided to check it out. I think it is important to note that everything is made to order there. So, even if the online menu specifies an item a specific way, you can make alterations. When I learned this I changed my mind as to what I wanted. I went with the Power House Bowl. I was surprised at the pricing, it was expensive for a bowl. I wouldn't likely eat here with the kid because it'd be closer to the $30 range for a meal for both of us. However, it was just me tonight. I did substitute the tofu with a veggie patty instead. I am just not a fan of tofu. I do believe it's possible that in substituting with the patty I lost the quinoa. I'm not sure although I can not see any quinoa in this thing. I don't care though because it's delicious! It was piping hot when I got it and it's jammed packed full of all kinds of fresh veggies. Great menu selection of healthy choices, and I ordered the Peanut Butter Crush Protein Shake. I actually went back the next day because it was so good. I'm a huge Peanut Butter lover and I decided to try their Peanut Butter Protein Cookies. They were simply the best Peanut Butter cookies I have ever had. We love the menu at Protein House here in Arizona. The sad reality is this location is very inconsistent. The last time we dropped in the froyo pancakes were delicious. They were light, fluffy and tasty. We also noticed the staff was friendlier and told one of the owners we appreciated the changes since they took over this location. This visit went backwards with small and sad pancakes. I had to remind the staff that we had an extra order of froyo. We saw another customers order of the same pancakes and they looked awesome. What gives PH? Unfortunately for us it is not the same experience every time which means we will likely pass on future meals at this location. It's not worth a 50/50 shot at a decent and nutritious meal. Hope the owner(s) can turn it around to make this location consistent with solid food. read more

Their menu has a wide variety to meet everyone's needs and if you do not see anything on the menu they can custom make you food. I recommend the Thai Monster Bowl, BBQ Bison Cheesesteak, and the Chocolate Monster Pancakes. The pancakes are where it is at! The only knock would be that they do take a bit to make your food which is OK because they are making it from scratch. The food is pricey for what it is though, all healthy food is. Decided to order a protein shake since I'm having a bit of a TMJ flare up so I can't really open my jaw at all except to drink. I would give this restaurant 5 stars if not for two distinct factors. 1) Price: Although this is billed as a high quality clean eating place it should not be $14.99 for salads and entrees. There is precedence for this typeof food being offered at lower than "Cheesecake Factory" prices even though the 2 as far as nutritionally are way different. 2) Ambiance: Its super clean inside however the presence of the cheap IKEA type tables that wobble and ultralight chairs gives it a "cheap" feel and ads to the issue of overall value with the high prices. I used to frequent Protein House, but hadn't been back in a while, decided I was going to go in and get a protein shake, when I arrived, nobody was at the register. The girl who was supposed to be at the register was too busy flirting with some guys at a table. I was waiting at the register for about 5 min, a guy came up as I was standing there and she came over and took his order first and started flirting with him. Completely ignored me and continued chatting with this guy. Then to add insult to injury, she had apparently ordered herself some dinner from another restaurant, as soon as it was delivered, she proceeded to open up the bag with her meal, and started going through it right there next to the registers. This is probably the best place to eat right after your workout at Eos fitness! Finally coming to protein house has definitely changed my opinion to my go-to post workout meal! It's clean eating that will provide you with an array of options that makes you glad you didn't cheat on your diet! Their menu offers a lot of stuff like protein pancakes, burritos/wraps, protein bowls protein shakes, burgers, etc My friend and I got the bbq bison wrap and the steak wrap and they were fantastic! Pretty good portion, it's not gonna be HUGE but if you're on a diet, that's what you want. You just want to eat to get that satisfaction, not to feel bloated and overstuffed! We also got some protein shakes, I got a PB&J smoothie while my friend got some kind of island pineapple one. His was definitely better than mine. Overall, I can't wait to try more food options at this place, definitely gonna come here for the other drink options as well as food options. First off, customer service was AMAZING. Every employee greeted me immediately when I walked in and the owner Tom, came up and personally introduced himself and helped me decide what to get.
