I was still really thankful that she was able to squeeze me in for a month to help with my lower back/glute pain though. I work a desk job, so I'm often sitting without much movement throughout the day. One day, I noticed really bad pain in the left side of my lower back that ran through my leg, even felt some numbness in my foot on my worst days while sitting. Through a few sessions with Colleen, I've felt much improvement over the past few weeks and it has helped me so much. On our first visit, she assessed my posture, mobility, flexibility, etc. and was able to pinpoint where it was affecting me the most. She provided me with a structured treatment plan and recommended various stretches that I could do at home/at my desk. Since I've started the PT and stretching everyday, I definitely feel the difference. I've also been more intentional about moving around more throughout the workday, going back to the gym, and standing instead of sitting when I can. I really owe it to Colleen! She is super kind and knowledgable and has an amazing team that supports her and her PT practice. So grateful that I found this place for the short time that I needed her! :)

This really shows the strength of her character. She is a great PT and I highly recommend her.

They gave their perspective and pointed out a few things I hadn't thought of. I liked that they asked how I felt about the next steps rather than just telling me what to do. That small thing made the visit feel more like a conversation. The overall atmosphere was clean and not too sterile which helped. Long Version: I came to Dr. Wachhorst for a surgical consult in early 2021. I was 29 at the time and had been experiencing debilitating back pain since late 2019. I was an active person and found myself reduced from trail half marathons to ginger walks around the block. I was in a bad place. From the day I met him, Dr. Wachhorst instilled a sense of optimism and hope. He clearly and kindly walked me through my options, giving me his (very logical) perspective but never once pushing me towards one decision or another. I met with three other surgeons but felt most comfortable and confident with him to carry out my microdiscectomy. I would make this decision again a thousand times over. Dr. Wachhorst and his staff are highly competent and made me feel like I was in the best hands. After waking up from my surgery, my pain had entirely vanished. I was even able to go for a mile-long walk the day after. The delicate procedure left me with a 1" scar, which has healed beautifully and is barely detectable. I am now sitting here a little over a year after my procedure, still completely pain-free, writing this long overdue review. Thank you, Dr. Wachhorst, for giving me my life back. I have my first half-marathon in 4 years scheduled thanks to you, and I am just so grateful to be able to run, jump, and play again. You are very, very appreciated.

My range of motion was severely limited, and I couldn't do simple things like thread my belt through the back loops of my pants, or wash my back in the shower. My orthopedic surgeon recommended physical therapy, so I called Silver Creek Physical Therapy in Sunnyvale and made an initial appointment. At the initial appointment, administrative coordinator Shelia took all of my information and scheduled 11 weekly 1-hour sessions for me, all in less than 5 minutes. Extremely efficient and professional. Over the next several weeks, I worked with Josephine, one of Silver Creek's several knowledgeable, skilled and accredited Doctors of Physical Therapy, going through a prescribed regimen of stretching and strengthening exercises. Using the Silver Creek website, I was assigned a plan of exercises to do at home, as well. Josephine and her staff were gentle, personable and professional, gradually getting me from debilitating pain to manageable pain to nuisance pain to almost a complete recovery. I had my last session today. I estimate I'm 98% recovered, and I plan on continuing to work at home to conquer the remaining 2% range of motion (mainly reaching behind the back and upwards, which they tell me is the last and hardest to recoup). Nobody asks for pain or physical problems in life. But if you have them, and you want to get better in a hurry, I highly recommend Silver Creek Physical Therapy in Sunnyvale!
