This is a cool fall festival and event to visit during halloween season. A beautiful laid-back and…read morespacious atmosphere, and country music played through the speakers near the big barn, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, and a few merchandise vendors on site, as well as beer and wine for sale. However a big negative here are the LONG LINES. Not only were lines slow, but there were extra unnecessary lines. Two lines for entry, one for wristbands, then the other for security. Two lines for food, one to place orders and pay, the other to pick up orders from the appropriate truck/tent (the steak quesadilla and tri-tip sandwich weren't even worth the wait... though the former was bigger and better). Also, there was one SUPER MEGA LINE (worse than Disneyland) for the Trail of Lights and Frights due to lack of instructions from staff and no signs to indicate that there were actually two separate entries: one trail is for kids, bright and safe (with LIGHTS), the other trail is for the haunted attraction (with FRIGHTS) where the sounds of chainsaws and screaming could be heard coming from behind the corn field (this is not the same as the regular corn maze on the farm by the way). It was definitely fun and creepy! The corn maze was cool and not too challenging, lit even after dark as they have a giant flood light high above. There was also a good amount of entertaining activities for both kids and adults, including a pumpkin patch, mechanical bull, and giant jump pillows. But again, a lack of instruction and signage, especially for the biggest attractions on site. I even saw people sliding down a hill in potato sacks on the far end of the farm, but there was no clear sign about "slide mountain", so you would not know about it unless you happened to go in that direction or had a map of the farm. As a reminder there is uneven terrain everywhere and lots of walking necessary, (especially in the trails of lights and frights, and corn maze), so wear comfortable walking shoes that you don't mind getting dirty. Despite the issues I mentioned, we still enjoyed our time here. And the cost of tickets is worth it if doing the Trail of Frights (since it's comparable with other haunted houses, but you also get other farm activities on top of that). Parking was free and easy too.

WEDDING DAY 8/30/26…read more No one has reached out or sent a thank you for joining us email. No one welcomed us in at 8 am or as we left at 11 pm we just walked out The property itself is absolutely beautiful, and our wedding was beautiful. Unfortunately, the customer service and management experience did not match. During the sales process, Satarupa Swank came across as very flexible. We paid upfront, and I specifically discussed setup timing and used 6 AM as an example. I was verbally told that would be fine because she lived next door, and I wrote that down in my wedding-planning notes. We absolutely understand that our signed contract stated the official hours. Our frustration is that we trusted what we were verbally told during the sales process. As the wedding approached, we were told access was strictly 8 AM-11 PM, and approximately 50 additional minutes would cost $750. Future clients: get EVERY verbal accommodation in writing. Unfortunately, the customer-service issues continued on our wedding day. We hired our own day-of coordinator specifically to handle communication, yet Operations Manager Ms. Mithu De was directing our guests about what to do and where to sit very rudely instead of communicating with our coordinator and asking in a professional manner to have our guest be where they should be accordingly My husband was also scolded for adjusting a movable shelf in the reach-in refrigerator so our tall wedding cake box could fit without being crushed. We also paid for one bartender and two servers. Our soda station was self-serve, yet during portions of our reception there was no bartender in sight at the outside bar, and from what we personally observed, the ice was replenished once. It left us questioning the level of service we received for the additional staffing we paid for. Also the staff we payed for wasn't allowed to move chairs ? We had our wedding party pack up chairs. Something some one we hired to clean up should do? The condition of portions of the kitchen/storage areas was also disappointing. In my opinion, they looked dirty, cluttered and extremely disorganized. I'm including photos so people can make their own judgment. The "man cave" was cluttered with miscellaneous items and felt more like storage than a dedicated groom's area. We also noticed cameras upstairs around the bridal-suite area. I cannot speak to whether they were recording or exactly what they captured, but their presence made members of our group uncomfortable enough that they did not want to change in there. As a bride I had no option but to change and feel weird. Idk the direction of the CAMERAS and I wasn't even reminded or told of they are on or off. I work in hospitality and regularly work alongside banquet managers. I completely understand contracts, rules and policies. My issue was never that Swank Farms had rules--it was how situations were communicated and how we were treated. There is a professional way to communicate with clients and their guests. When you're spending thousands of dollars on an event, you should be treated with respect and professionalism. We understood there were rules--we just expected them to be communicated respectfully. Not micromanaged. Hospitality should feel hospitable. Swank Farms is a beautiful property, but unfortunately our customer-service experience did not match the beauty of the setting. I have a much more detailed review of our experience, including additional context, posted on Google Reviews for anyone considering renting Swank Farms for an event.

The store is always clean, well organized, and stocked with quality products at great prices. The savings, member-only discounts, and rewards make it well worth the membership. The staff is always friendly and the shopping experience is quick and convenient. These days, I rarely shop at Walmart or other big-box stores because Costco has just about everything I need in one place. After four decades of shopping at Costco, I'm still a very happy and loyal customer. If you're looking for quality products, excellent value, and outstanding customer service, Costco is hard to beat. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing experience at the Gilroy Costco…read more I have been a loyal Costco member for years and spend thousands of dollars here annually, but my recent experience at the Gilroy location has genuinely made me reconsider my membership. On August 6, I purchased a $65.75 seasoned tri-tip that was packaged that day but had a "Best if Used By" date of August 8--only TWO days after I purchased it. Even more concerning, on that same August 6 trip, I purchased a two-pack of salad that was dated August 3. When I attempted to return or exchange the tri-tip, I was refused. An employee told me I should simply cook the meat and eat it anyway, despite my concerns, and essentially made me feel that I "should have known better." I then spoke with a manager and was told that the product was my responsibility, not Costco's. I have returned dated perishable items to Costco before, so I asked about the policy. I also reviewed Costco's published satisfaction guarantee myself and could not find the perishable-return restriction I was being told applied to my purchase. What bothers me most isn't even the $65.75. It's the complete lack of concern that I purchased TWO refrigerated products with date issues during the same shopping trip, combined with the dismissive way my concern was handled. I expect better from a company that promotes a 100% satisfaction guarantee and charges customers for membership. After spending thousands of dollars with Costco year after year, being told to eat the meat anyway and that this was simply my problem was incredibly disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has seriously changed how I feel about continuing my Costco membership.

Last week no one was at the drop off so I left them at the drop off rear door (it was opened), I couldn't get a receipt because no one was there. Today I went again with 8 large bags of gently used clothing. There was a white car van at the entrance putting bags into the vehicle, the car in front of me pulled up, and I guess they knew each other, the large suv had about 15 bags of items and the woman in the white van was helping taking the bags out and putting them in the white van, 15 minutes later the suv finished and I pulled in her spot, again, no one there to help me with my 8 bags, the woman in the white van was still sorting items and putting them into her van. I'm not sure if she was an employee for the salvation army but I asked if anyone was available and she said no just put your items on the table inside. The problem was that many bags were very heavy, I had my grandson help me so I needed help, no help was available. After I finished I went into the store to speak to a manager, david was an assistant manager and I told him what happened, he basically said they were short handed, David was at the register so I didn't want to interfere too much with the sales. My point to the above is that people like myself donate for several reasons, like to give good clothing to people who can't afford retail and two, to employ people of the salvation army. To be treated with utter disrespect is absolutely unacceptable. I will go to goodwill next time. Don't go to this establishment....

There are weekly color tag 50% off deals like at the other stores. The rewards program is superb. I subscribe to their email newsletters and get often coupons to use. Today, I was there with my parents. The clerk was so patient and kind as their technology was not working well at time of purchase. I hope they get their issue fixed. Prices are generally good here. Great prices on t-shirts, jeans, books, and bags. There is a great selection of shoes but prices are kind of high considering the shoes are used. I would not pay $20 or more for a pair of sneakers usually unless they are in perfect like new condition, a designer brand and are made of leather. I saw some non designer fabric shoes that were priced kind of high. I have paid about $20 for a new pair of shoes on clearance at discount stores like Ross and Marshalls. I am more willing to pay about $20 and up for a pair of brand new shoes on clearance at a store that sells only new merchandise. I am aware that the bottom tread on the soles on used shoes can have been worn down or perhaps some other flaw which would explain why the shoes were donated to the thrift store in the first place. This store used to carry jewelry but I guess just like Goodwill, sell all of their jewelry online now except for the occasional jar of mixed costume jewelry. I do miss being able to purchase individual jewelry here like the other thrift stores.
