We made an appointment after seeing some ads on Instagram for a free ring consultation. My bf and I have no knowledge of trying to pick out an engagement ring and what to look for, so we decided to book an appointment with Hung Phat. I reached out to them via dm to place an appointment, but you can also do it yourself on their website. I asked whether we would need to commit to anything during the appointment and they said no. This made me feel a bit at ease, as we were just planning to go in to explore our options and become educated in picking out engagement rings. They responded very quickly to my dm and helped me make an appointment, answered any questions I had, and added me to a text chat where I could send in some ring inspos and what styles I was looking for. We came a bit early, but they were able to accommodate us. We were guided to a table reserved especially for us and were offered champagne or sparkling juices/water and some cookies as snacks. Our jeweler, Lyn, was very easy to talk to and she made us feel very comfortable during the entire appointment. We told her that we didn't have much knowledge about picking out a ring and what to look for, but she was able to help us through the entire process and guide us through all of those steps. We had a ring design in mind already and we showed her the photo and she was able to show me the similar setting, diamond shape, and carat size, against my finger. We tried on different band widths to see which one I liked better, went over the 4 C's (color, clarity, cut, and carat weight), and explained to us what they meant. She showed us different diamonds in different carat sizes and the differences in clarity grade between them. My bf and I really learned a lot during our consultation and are very glad we booked an in person consultation with Hung Phat. I had a wonderful experience at Hung Phat Jewelry and especially with Quynh. I purchased my wedding ring from Hung Phat many years ago, but I no longer had the original paperwork. Recently, two of the small diamonds had fallen out, so I brought the ring in to see if they could replace them. Quynh checked the ring and found the store's stamp on it, so she told me I didn't need any paperwork and that they would replace the missing diamonds for me at no charge. I really appreciated that they still stood behind their jewelry after so many years. Since I've worn the ring for a long time, it had also lost some of its shine, so I asked about having it polished. Quynh explained that the regular price was $80, but she offered it to me for only $40. Even better, I only had to wait about 30 minutes to have everything done. The service was excellent from beginning to end. They even offered me water and candy while I waited, which was such a thoughtful touch. Quynh was warm, helpful, and professional, and I also had a very positive impression of everyone working in the store. I'm very happy with how my ring turned out and with the way I was treated. I have frequented Hung Phat many times in the past several years, most recently I came to get ly ring resized. At the time, they quoted me $30 and got the job done quickly with great service. Today, just two months later, I came in to resize another ring, an older lady helped me and immediately quoted me $50. Different ring but same exact job. I asked why it was only $30 just s few months ago and she rudely said that's the price since gold fluctuates - I was making my ring SMALLER. Such bullshit so I went across the side to Tran Duc who did it for $20 and super nice about it. Don't bother coming here, these vietnamese lady aunties who work here are awful. read more

We frequent this store a lot for most of our needs and since my updated review, Khanh has been amazingly kind, patient and helpful. Neither did my mom or I felt rushed, persuaded for upsell, or lied to during the process and that's exactly what a patron needs during a big purchase. I appreciate the timely updates/communication so we can plan our schedule accordingly for either a pick up, cleaning, repair or purchase. She and staff are also extremely kind to kids and provide patrons with water bottles and candy during the process.
