Thank you Tony for the Brace for my 2 year old. You have made our visits super comfortable and easy! We just had my son's X-ray with the brace on with his orthopedics doctor and they said that his spine has improved so much. Thank you for everything. Also my son needed a new brace after 6 months because he grew and Tony was able to squeeze us in right away and the new brace arrived in 2 weeks. I highly recommend this facility!! I live in Tracy and don't mind the drive because I'm really happy with Tony's work.

Tony LaFrance does great work. Our 14 year old son wears a back brace for Scheuermann's Kyphosis (curvature of the upper spine). It's a difficult experience for our son. But Tony is very supportive and helpful. I recommend Kickstart Orthotics to anyone who need this kind of work done.

Tony is a FABULOUS orthotist! He is professional, timely, and has a great bedside manner. "Uncle Tony" to my daughter who needs various devices for her feet, he goes out of his way help his patients what they need! Update: 2/26/2020 Tony and Viva only get better! Their customer service is top notch... and their love for their patients is off the charts! You will not regret going to Tony and Viva!

If you suffer from real or disabling foot pain, Pacific Medical Prosthetics is the place that I really MUST recommend to you. The orthotics that they made for me maybe six or seven years ago were perfect!! I really had never felt such a relief from my crippling foot pain before!! I sometimes would go somewhere and just couldn't make it back to the car because I was so disabled from the sharp pains in my toe joints. After having a very long career as a registered nurse and being on my feet all the time there is a lot of damage to my feet. The staff at Pacific Medical Prosthetic were so professional and knowledgeable that they properly measured my gait and impressions for my feet and made an amazing shoe insert specifically for ME! I could finally WALK AGAIN!!!!! I have been successfully wearing these orthotics for years. I just went to my regular doctor to get a pair of orthotics, covered by my insurance which they were, but they're so painful to wear and I don't know why. So, I am back to Pacific Medical Orthotics to get them to CREATE a new pair for me. It's really a craft for them and they do an amazing job. I'm hoping that my second impression of them is as stellar as my first way back then. I'll certainly check back with Yelp and give them a second review when I find out. Sincerely, Tom Atkins, RN

Great experience: Ashley is fast, thorough, very competent & a lovely person. I am very happy with my new orthotics & am running pain free again. The location is clean, bright & has readily available appointments. Unfortunately they are no longer offering orthotic casting at this location! I am glad I got in before Ashley left the practice. She is headed down to a practice in Redwood City, Gary Berke Prosthetics (650-365-5861). I have been seeing Michael P. for about 20 years, probably longer, first at a place on Divisadero…read more(which is closed a few years ago), then more recently after he started working with Kickstarter. I followed him from one place to the next. Why? For all the reasons. 1) He's an excellent orthotist, and will problem-solve the heck out of whatever your problem is. 2) He won't make you feel like you're a princess (and the pea) or get annoyed with you for having a difficult-to-treat situation. He'll work with you. 3) He'll be patient. 4) He'll be kind. He'll figure out how to solve the issue. (I had polio as a kid, and have had to wear an AFO brace on my affected leg since I was 40, as I aged and my leg weakened. Despite that, I'm active as heck. Without a brace and shoes that are comfortable and support my leg and foot, I'm be one of those insects on its back.. Ok, not an insect, but maybe I'd have thought I needed a wheelchair or who knows what? Instead I've been able to have a full and active (standing up) life as a nurse at General Hospital (on my feet all the time), and then after I retired 20 years ago, (now pushing 80, ok, 79), I'm still on my feet and active. I owe Michael a lot for this good fortune. Earlier on I'd worked with other orthotists who were not as patient-oriented, not as kind, not as able to be imaginative and creative and put in the work to get good results. Michael is a gem. And Duane, his partner at the front of the shop is as nice and helpful as can be. They're a good team. It's an excellent operation; I highly recommend Kickstarter SF without reservation. Definitely 5 stars!

He was not disgusted by my awful leg and foot when I had my cast removed. Huge plus! He was friendly, communicative, and very clear about what the brace was and how I should wear it. Many times medical professionals assume patients know what they're talking about--not John. No question was too dumb, and he didn't make me feel like an idiot for having flat feet and not wearing supportive shoes. After he took casts of my foot at Kaiser, I was told that someone would follow up with me once the brace and orthotics were made. Well, everything was ready in April and at the height of COVID-19. I made the drive to San Rafael, and I was impressed with the safety measures the office had in place. Once again, John was professional and top notch. Leslie, receptionist, made sure to greet me and her communication skills are amazing. She's a woman after my own heart! She's quick to call, text, and email, and I love it! While I hate that I had to have tendonitis in my ankle, I'm glad that Allen Labs is helping me on my road to recovery!

She has kept me moving at times when I thought I might have to give up my independence and go to a nursing home. I recommend her to all of my friends. She is also a professional disability evaluator who helped me with my SS disability application. I first saw her in May of 2012. I had been suffering with pain in my pelvis and right hip that locked me up every day as I would bend over. The next day, I felt 20 years younger. It did not hurt to bend any more. My joints, body wide, were more limber and mostly pain-free. The locked hip area needed more work but within a month I was almost back to normal. Within a few months, however, the arthritis began to keep me at home two days for every day I went out. I saw Dr. Marlow as often as I was able to afford it. In December of 2013 I was in moderate-to-severe pain 24/7 throughout my body. I was also in panic mode, as you can imagine. Dr. Marlow's treatments knocked down the pain enough that I could isolate the most painful areas and realized that the same hip was the epicenter of the pain. I went to the ER where they gave me a prescription and an appointment with an orthopedist two months out. Dr. Marlow has ACTUALLY helped me to minimize my pain and achieve mobility, whereas I have only vague promises and pills from the medical doctors.

She was able to see me after I got off work on a short notice which I really appreciated. I came in the office at around 5:30 p.m. and was greeted by the lovely ladies at the front desk. They were very friendly and helpful. I filled out some paperwork prior to the visit because the Dr. said it would save us a lot of time. The office is very clean, organized, and bright. The atmosphere was very welcoming and comfy. The Dr. was working on a patient when I got there so one of the assistants showed me a couple of dvds educating me on chiropractic care, once the videos were done, the dr. came in the room very cheerfully and examined me. She knew exactly what she was talking about and every question I had was answered. She recommended services that would improve my body. She also gave me written instructions and samples of supplements that would help me feel better. We decided on a treatment plan and look forward to returning. I usually hate going to doctors but she makes me feel very comfortable and at ease.
