I came here on 5/23/25, so I've been using my orthotics for over a month now. Decided to wait on writing a review because you really need time to see if it actually works or not. Glad to report that it worked fantastically for me. I have had zero foot discomfort since using them. I am an avid tennis player (4-5 times a week) who was experiencing occasional plantar fasciitis. I have low arches and would also get pain/soreness from just standing upright for a few minutes. I had been using Superfeet insoles with mixed results. I called and was able to get in the same day. The appointment was fine, he doesn't rush you, he seems like he knows what he's doing, he's a nice person etc (but honestly I only care about results, if the orthotics work or not). One set of orthotics was $200, plus $20 because I needed a cushion. I bought two sets, and he discounted the second set to $170, and didn't charge for a second cushion. So in total for 2 sets it was $390 (plus tax). Superfeet insoles cost about $50 and last 6 months, while these theoretically last forever and were much more effective, so it seems like a good deal to me. I paid with HSA. Overall, I'm very happy with the results, and am glad to be pain free. read more

It's been 2 weeks since I visited David at Ergo Good Orthotics and am happy to report that the orthotics are working well. I came into the office with a pair of poorly constructed custom orthotics that did not address either of my two foot issues (1,left foot nerve pain due to arthritis; 2, supinating right foot). throughout the 1+ hour I was there David supplied me with the correct prescription to completely remove the nerve pain, first time in several years. David knows about feet. I have collapsing arches and he helped me understand what is most likely muscularly happening, what is weak and what needs strengthening. It was an educational experience and I am so grateful! He listens which is so refreshing after being so frustrated with my issues. He is fun to talk to and encourages asking questions anytime. I wanted to get a pair of orthotics for my 95 year-old mom who has never had orthotics in her life. David was very patient and mindful in selecting the type of support for an elderly person. Additionally, I have a deformed ankle and limb length discrepancy that I have struggled all my life to find a sweet balance with a lift to correct the length discrepancy and also to provide the right balance for my foot stability. I have worked with my various professionals ie podiatrist, orthopedic surgeon, pedorthist and shoe repair man. As the work itself is very time consuming and requires a lot of adjustment and searching for a sweet balance, I found very few people who have been willing to listen and follow through. I have been wearing orthotics for the past 15 years due to flat feet. I am up on my feet for 12h a day. I used to have the regular custom orthotics ( the whole insole) which were ok but would wear off quickly and didn't feel that they provided the needed support as much. Found this business and decided to give it a try and have no regrets at all. In fact I would get a second pair for my other shoes so I don't keep switching the pair I have. The material of ErgoGoods doesn't wear off and provides much better arch support than the expensive full length insoles I used to have. The guy is a pro and works with you and LISTENS. I had to modify the first pair and the second one fit perfectly. His prices are good and it's worth every penny. Every other pair of insoles I had I was told to break in gradually but in fact since it didn't provide the needed support I never felt my feet challenged for the better. With the ErgoGoods insoles I felt that for first time in 15 years my feet were actually supported and that it is how I knew it wasn't a scam. I bought this maybe beginning of this year so and kept trying out to get the benefit of them. My experience is quite different than others which I'm surprised and not understanding what went wrong. First off, it does feel supportive and comfortable however, I get side effect which is chest pain. I didn't even think they were related at all but every time I wear the insoles, chest pain comes after. Once I get the chest pain after walking with the insoles in flat shoes, it takes 2 to 3 days to get back to be normal condition. Since I paid for over $200, I really tried out many ways to make it work. Reason I leave this review is that I decided to try this insoles after reading all the good reviews but it didn't work out for me and ended up not using them. read more

David spent one-and-a-half hours with me, and after almost a week, I can already say that I feel the results. I walked 4 miles yesterday without any pain, which is a first for me. I have incredibly flat feet and walking causes me to experience pain that ranges from mild to awful. David diagnosed me correctly as not just having flat feet but also having a fast gait where I push off quite hard with my toes, which in my case causes hyperextension and additional pain. David was careful to measure not just my feet but the length of my arch, and we discovered that I would need an orthotic that's 2 sizes bigger than what's typical for my foot length, because I have a really long arch. And then, because the heel cup dug into the side of my foot a little, he ground the edge of the orthotics down until they were comfortable for me. I left with a set of orthotics and cushions to go above them. They fit in all my shoes, but moving them around is enough of a hassle that I will probably purchase another pair the next time I see David for a followup. This is clearly a labor of love for David. Fitting people with orthotics doesn't pay the bills for him (he sells office furniture to make a living), but he's passionate about sharing his knowledge. OMG. David spent NEARLY 2 HOURS w. me yesterday -- and was fantastic. When was the last time anyone could claim that from visiting a podiatrist? [Background: I'm a recreational folk dancer and dance teacher, with unevenly flat feet, and at 60+, my knees and ankles are feeling it, despite some pretty good insole orthotics I found a few years back, AND an expensive set of custom orthotics from a podiatrist several years back that were okay, but not great.] David actually wears orthotics himself, and knows what a difference it made in making his back pain disappear, so he has a stake in the products he sells. [BTW, he said he doesn't make money from selling the orthotics, but rather the ergonomic furniture - but he really loves being able to share his knowledge of orthotics with others -- lucky for me!!!] I have never received such superb treatment and sharing of information on my feet and knees. I wanted something that would make it easier for me to dance without hurting afterwards. But he wasn't just interested in listening to my symptoms, having me buy a set of orthotics, and sending me on my way. No, far more than that. He explained how he could address my comfort, but also pointed a way towards recovery -- explaining that pain was simply the last stage of a series of long term joint misalignments that for many ended in knee replacements. Many people don't even realize that they need orthotics, until the pain begins in earnest. What if one could correct those misalignments before having to face knee replacements - the bane of all dancers? Indeed, one of his clients who was facing a knee replacement decided to use David's orthotics religiously, and after a few months, his doctor asked him, "What have you been doing? You don't need knee surgery anymore!!" Over those 2 hours I realized that I could really make a change in my body, with David's information and guidance. So after trying on different orthotic inserts, I settled on a pair for my dance shoes, and a set of versatile inserts for all other shoes. The versatiles last several years and are basically the therapeutic ones I'll wear whenever I'm not dancing. (That's what David wears, and he even pulled out one of his to show me how little wear it had after 2 years of use.) The others are better for comfort and support during dancing. David gave me a discount for buying 2 pairs, told me I could return the orthotics within 30 days for refund if they didn't work out (but had to try them for at least a week) and specific instructions for how to ease into use of the therapeutic ones - as well as warning me about not using them if I started experiencing discomfort beyond the initial acclimation process. How much did I pay for all of this? Total: $255 for 2 sets of orthotics, one of which are long term therapeutic ones -- what an incredible bargain!!! I would have paid more than that just for a 2 hour visit to a podiatrist (if I could even get one, ha!) , let alone the orthotics. I wore the versatiles walking out of his shop. My feet and knees were feeling better instantly. I wore them for the rest of the day, and worked out which pair of shoes (my dogger "crocs") I would dedicate to use for walking inside the house. Finally, a solution to my feet and legs! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, DAVID!!! I'll update this if I find anything wrong, but so far I'm feeling so much better from his help, it's almost euphoric. read more

I fell and fractured my leg in 2008 and came out of surgery with a shorter leg than I went in with. Walking was a problem because of pain in my knee, leg, and foot, but was greatly eased by the orthotics my podiatrist had prescribed. In the eight years since, I've had several clones of those orthotics, but I found that there can be a vast discrepancy between what the doctor orders and what his orthotics laboratory provides. I have many letters and emails attesting to every example of misunderstanding and incompetence. And this is where David of Ergo Goods Orthotics & Ergonomics entered my life just a week ago. Most important, David listens - carefully -- and knows what to do with what he hears. I told him right away that I was a "hard case" and went on to prove it - bony feet that react with pain or irritation like the Princess reacted to the pea under her mattress, one foot that never recovered from the nerve damage to my leg during surgery and require an orthotic that raises that leg Exactly to the height that matches the other leg. And more. Instead of running away screaming "It's too late for you, missy," or, even worse, promising an instant cure, David said he'd think about it all, and would get in touch with the lab that makes his orthotics before we went any further. He called me the next day. Could I come in to try out some things? Those "things" were impressive. He showed me the prototypes and asked me to walk in them and tell him how they felt and answer some relevant questions. It was easy. Both orthotics, the left very different from the right, were deliciously comfortable. My damaged left foot had exactly the arch support and additional height it needed. I asked if I could take them for a walk in the real world and he agreed that would be a good idea to confirm that what I felt in the store would hold up under all conditions. They were perfect.. I harassed David into giving me a rough estimate of cost and was pleased with what he told me. If the lab does what the lab is supposed to do, I will order two more pairs for the shoes I wear the most often. And, by the way, while I was there, I saw a pair of lovely leather sandals that fit me perfectly. First time that's happened since 2008. I can't recommend David highly enough. His listening skills are equal to his professional skills, and that too is a first in my experience. read more

Orthotics ready in a day. Sounds unlikely, right. That's what you can expect after a visit to Ergo goods Orthotics. I took my daughter in because of an unevenness in her hips. We were not sure of what the problem was but we knew she had a few things going on that were affecting her hips, ankles and her foot. We had been trying to solve this for a few years as she grew during high school to second year in college. Two podiatry consults never revealed or informed us as much ad one visit with David. David spent about an hour with us assessing her; pressure distribution on foot print, watching her walk with different inserts, watching her shoulder height, getting feedback from my daughter about what she was feeling when she walked. Her considered her arch height, and length. Whether the arch was supported well enough but not too much. Very thorough evaluation. We left feeling very good about the plan of action to correct and stop her misalignment. read more
