I left a bad review here for Tiffany about 5 years ago, mistakenly attributing my plight to something that she did while treating me. It took me years to get better, but when I finally figured out exactly what was going on (a nefarious thing called central sensitization), and I healed, I realized that it wasn't her fault. Further, I went back and saw her and explained what happened, and she was extremely kind and understanding and very interested in learning about my story, and in using it to help others. The staff and quality of care here is fantastic! For over a year, I was dealing with an injury and visited different doctors and physical therapists. However, this team here help me regain mobility and strength which allowed me to continue normal daily activities without pain. The facility is very clean send the staff treats you like family. This was the most useless, pointless waste of my time and money. I came here a year ago for shoulder pain from covid WFH. None of the therapists listened to me when I told them the PT wasn't working. The massages weren't targeting the right muscles. Oh and yeah you came in for shoulder pain, but let's forget about that and do ab exercises now! Does that make sense to you? It never did to me. Shouldn't the patient be the number one driver to developing a care plan? This clinic never bothered to listen to my concerns and adjust my treatment. They just really didn't know how to treat me. The owner Luc always treated me like a nuisance anytime I spoke up and advocated for myself. Don't even get me started on how difficult and frustrating billing was. I stopped going after a month. I'm doing much better now, now that I threw out all their useless ab exercises and worked on the specific muscles causing me pain. read more

While I appreciate the opportunity for small talk, I believe there is room for improvement in the way exercise instructions are communicated and the overall professional focus during sessions at this physical therapy facility. It would be more beneficial for patients if therapists could offer more detailed guidance on performing exercises at home, ensuring a clear understanding of the prescribed routines, rather than veering into personal topics such as income and other private topics. Additionally, it's crucial that therapists took the time to discuss the next steps and provided a comprehensive overview of the treatment plan, rather than briefly telling you what to do and handing out a piece of paper with exercise routines. In one incident, one staff just casually told my husband what to do and just left him, without monitoring, talking to his co-worker the entire time and popped backed in to repeat the same steps. We gave them another try after the incident but this time, the focus was on the previous mentioned private topic. Now I have been to several physical therapy facilities, and this stands out as the most unprofessional and disorganized. During your routine, every other facility would ask you where your pain was, how did you feel, and the topics were very relevant to what you were doing. They ensured that you properly replicate those exercises at home and gave you a detailed plan of what the next steps were. The attention to detail and expertise is non-existent. I could have just gone to youtube and followed the instructions because really that's how much service we received. Please don't get me wrong, small talk should always be available, but when it constitutes about 95% of your time, that really undermines the value of the services provided. I would love to avoid the sentiment of paying for something easily replicable at home. Moreover, I experienced frustration with the billing process. It was disconcerting not to receive billing information through email or mail, and I found it interesting that I was contacted about a pending bill as if I were deliberately avoiding payment. I wasn't going to post a review and I usually try not to for bad reviews despite my frustration but the billing was just the last draw. read more

Dr Luk, Took me in last minute. Was precise, honest, took time to answer my questions and gave me all the right suggestions Dr. Sai runs a tight ship with a few motivated assistants. Loved the excercises that were suggested too. Can make paperwork easier though. Lots of redundant stuff. Same info being collected many times. read more

I went to see Paymon for sudden lower back pain that severely impacted my daily life. Throughout my PT services with Paymon, it always felt like we were working as a team - working towards my goals, to improve my function and daily life (playing with my kids, hiking, exercising). Paymon was always helpful and willing to answer any questions, concerns, and guide me through recovery. I'm happy to say that I'm done with PT, I feel stronger, and I have the tools I need to support my back in any new challenges that arise. But I'm sad that I won't have Paymon or any of the trainers in my weekly routine anymore. If you need PT, I highly recommend going to Specialized Physical Therapy. read more

Tiffanie, the PT, was great, but the office staff was not. I was going to cancel my next appointment a couple days before, but wife asked me not to as she was going to take the appointment. She called a few hours before the appointment and was told she could come in by they would still charge me even though no business was loss. My wife canceled both her and my future appointments. I came here in the spring of 2019 for problems I was having with my lower back, which was causing a lot of pain down to my legs while doing any activity. Even just leaning slightly forward to brush my teeth was becoming unbearable. My doctor gave me a referral elsewhere but they didn't take the insurance I had at the time, so I found this place on my own. I worked mostly with either Luc or Janet (as well as Chelsea) and they were all excellent. The place is very clean and they're very easy to work with when it comes to scheduling. What I really liked was that everyone was very friendly and helpful. They're all incredibly nice and easy to work with, and they were very patient and encouraging, even though it felt a bit embarrassing to be unable to do even a simple squat lol. I never once felt annoyed or inconvenienced having to come here for PT. I enjoyed coming in and working with them because they were genuinely good people and created a great atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend them. If I still lived in the area and ever needed it, I would definitely come back here. I have had physical therapy sessions here for almost 3 months. I had a knee replacement, and when I saw the great reviews on yelp, I immediately called them. Due to the Covid situation, my first several appointments were via Internet, but then I decided to go in because when I went in for my consultation at the beginning, I noticed how clean and disinfecting they were being. That being said, I've had excellent results, and I am actually going to be sad to say goodbye because I'm almost ready to finish my physical therapy. Luc is amazing. He is knowledgeable, kind, and really fun to talk to. I had my other knee done almost a year ago, and had gone to a different physical therapy place which was fine... I was having knee pain and my doctor prescribed a series of physical therapy treatments. I called Specialized Physical Therapy solutions and the receptionist picked up the phone and was able to fit me into their schedule very quickly. Rachel was my physical therapist. She is a very upbeat person, listened to my problem and was able to help me with a program. By the time I had completed the treatments my knee was no longer in pain. I also worked with other members of the team and they were all very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs physical therapy. read more

I just moved back to San Jose and was looking for a good Physical Therapist or Chiropractor because I had a car accident (not my fault) and was slightly injured. I had put off seeing a PT or chiro for 2 months because I was so busy moving! In any case, my sister recommended Luc because she went to school with him and trusts him. After two appts, I am so grateful to Luc because he has helped me to reduce pain in my shoulder, neck, and back and is putting me on a plan to prevent pain. I can't wait until my next session! Terrible ! Be careful! I came here for my back because I had very painful problems! Their service did not work or fix my problem. I WAS OVERCHARGED FOR SERVICE, INSURANCE INFORMED ME, AND I WAS TOLD BY THE THERAPISTS, THAT IS WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO PAY, CHEATERS! They charged me $35.00/1 time for copay for twelve time! I never knew, my insurance sent me the bill and told me I should pay $25.00 /1 time! they told me they did not know !!! Really ? If 1 or 3 time, they did not know , I can accept , but 12 time????? And my insurance told me when they sent them the check payments, they should know how much they charge customers! Omg! If my insurance did not send me the bill, they would have continued to cheat me! I think all their customers should know, who don't know, they are "overcharging"!!!!!! Then more problems ,they will not refund back to me for over 1 month! I was truly upset, I had to call the insurance company several times to log a complaint. I called this company several times as well but was always told they will send a check in 10 days, I waited 10 days and called them again to be told I needed to wait 10 more days. Finally after logging a complaint with insurance about their service I received a refund about 2 months later. I should have contacted my attorney and sued them, but I guess they got the message. I highly recommend this clinic. Extremely professional and meticulous work ethic, especially with COVID protocol. Affordable rates. Great atmosphere. Genuinely friendly staff. My PCP recommended I go to physical therapy 2x weekly for 4 weeks. I am currently uninsured so affordable rates was a major selling point for me. After doing some homework and calling around, I stumbled on this gem. I first spoke with Chelsea, who was very warm and welcoming in her demeanor, which really stood out from the other calls I made. Scheduled my first visit at the rate of $80-$90 per session while uninsured. This was definitely a relief as most other clinics were charging much higher self-pay rates. During my visits, I worked with Rachel who was very personable, professional and attentive to all needs. Despite giving everyone in there a hard time, she worked closely with me and I was able to reach my therapy goal by the end of our 4 weeks. I definitely can't properly express in this review how great of an experience I had working with them. If you are hesitant, I encourage you to give them a call and schedule your first visit with them. Everything else will fall into place! read more

I came here over a year ago due to chronic lumbar pain that yoga would not fix. I did twice a week sessions for about three months, but had to discontinue due to covid concerns. Initially I worked with Janet who was fantastic and funny, but unfortunately she left. I continued with Luc who was also great to work with. The exercises were exhausting, but the staff is so cheerful and encouraging that I got through them. The pain gradually eased and became less painful at the end, and more of an annoyance. I continued the home exercises on my own without any weights and gradually healed it the rest of the way over the course of a year. While I didn't leave completely pain free, which wasn't their fault (covid), they definitely pushed the stubborn lumbar out of being stuck in a rut and that let the healing continue. Luc has magical touch. I had tear in rotator cuff. I was so afraid that I would need surgery. However after a series of visits over 3 months, I had steady improvement and now no pain whatsoever. My range of motion has recovered to close to 100% with the exception of reaching behind my back. I am pleasantly surprised and shocked at my recovery and full credit goes to Luc and his team. The receptionist called me threatening to send me to collection, and claiming she'd been sending me mail and calling me over an unpaid bill. This is not true, this was the first phone call they placed and I received zero mail from them to date. In truth, who would refuse to pay $11.07? Please change your receptionist. Harmony is clearly unqualified and is turning away customers. Do not recommend. * Update: The matter has been resolved - better training for the receptionist has been promised. Admittedly, this is my first experience with physical therapy and I must say, the bar has been set high with SPTS! Unfortunately, I have been dealing with an issue that required physical therapy and my doctor referred me to SPTS. My experience with Janet was excellent. She was patient and worked with me to achieve great progress. She really listens to her clients and is very in tune with the client's system in general. I think she is wonderful! After a fall causing major sciatic nerve pain, I went to this organization and I can not say enough good things about them. Within months of my first round of PT at Specialized Physical Therapy for hip surgery, I had knee surgery and needed more physical therapy. It was a great comfort going into that surgery knowing that I already had an excellent physical therapist to go to afterward. By the time I did start my knee PT I had also suffered a setback with my hip and was pretty frustrated. In the face of all this Luk was great. He calmly and confidently helped me get back on track and soon I was feeling much better, mentally and physically. Beyond a doubt, Luk and Specialized PT provide the best physical therapy I've ever experienced. 5 stars isn't enough for this place! I can't say enough positive things about Luc. I was experiencing a lot of neck and shoulder pain. It had gotten to the point where it was difficult turn my neck and perform everyday tasks. I immediately felt better after the initial visit and knew that I was on the road to recovery in his care. Luc not only addresses your problem areas, but he takes the time to explain everything about the injury and how to avoid it from reocurring. He really cares about you getting better and ensures that the exercises are performed accurately so you get the maximum benefit from your efforts. I am now almost pain free, which feels like a miracle considering where I started, and feeling stronger and more stable. Don't hesitate if you are unsure or nervous. Luc has been awesome. I ruptured my Achilles and had surgery 6 months ago. I went for a post op with my surgeon and she said I'm at the progress of a 9-month post-op patient. This review is long overdue. I started physical therapy with Luc after neck surgery a couple of years ago. I was still wearing a cervical collar and told him I was frustrated because it was painful to do simple everyday tasks. He immediately showed me better body mechanics, including rolling in and out of bed. His responsiveness convinced me that he had concern for his patients and I would get excellent care. I was not disappointed. Luc is a skilled clinician with a good sense of humor. He listens, shows respect, and fosters a team approach. Shortly before I ended treatment, he taught me how to proficiently swing a golf club, so I would protect my neck AND make better contact with the ball. It worked! The trainers are mostly college students with an interest in pursuing a career in the field. Their conscientiousness and enthusiasm inspired me to push my limits. I know they had excellent training and Luc's supervision insured I did my exercises in good form. I have had two more referrals for related conditions. Without hesitation, I returned so I could benefit from Luc's expertise and familiarity with my history. On both occasions I was pleased with the results. I agree with the other reviews that Specialized Physical Therapy Solutions deserves more than the maximum 5 Stars. read more

This place is awesome! I can not say enough good things. Luc Nguyen was the person who worked on me and he was amazing. I had surgery on my hip over 1 1/2 years ago. A year later, I was still having hip pain. It was so bad that it hurt with every step. I'm a side sleeper and unfortunately, I couldn't sleep on the surgery side at all and to sleep on the other side required I place a pillow between my knees. I had SO many sleepless nights. The doctor gave me cortisone injections. I had Lidocaine injections in 3 different places. This went on and on. Finally the doctor said he had done all he could do but to try PT one more time. I was sent to Specialized and had no hope that PT would work. But it did. It required someone like Luc to determine that my hip was moving around in the socket, causing inflammation and nerve pain. And the reason - the muscles supporting my hip were weak. I was astounded! Couldn't believe how well doing the exercises and having Luc work on that area worked. I don't have any pain when I walk now and I can sleep on the surgery side! No pillow needed! As far as I'm concerned, this was a miracle after being in pain for so long. read more
