I was recently involved in an auto accident where I was hit and sustained injuries to my lower back and left knee. I really wanted to find a good chiropractor since I was in a lot of pain. I was having trouble walking and sleeping at night. I initially searched on Google and Yelp and I noticed "Silicon Valley Chiropractic Center" had great reviews on both platforms so I gave them a try. I just want to say Dr. Brook's was very caring and even surprised me when they did a full physical assessment and well being check. Also, to my surprise Dr. Brook's also recommended a couple of X-rays to make sure before they work on my back it's safe to adjust or perform any work. I was like, "WOW! You guys really think of everything to make sure your patients are safe!" After the radiologist reviewed my X-rays Dr. Brook's explained in detail the diagnosis, all the issues I was having, and why I was experiencing so much pain! The next step was off to see Dr. Kapur, who is very friendly who asked where I felt the most pain and proceeded to adjust my back, neck, and knee. Then I was off to the flexion table with esteem therapy. Let me tell you after my adjustment and therapy I was able to walk with significantly less pain and I felt more balanced when I walked. Previously I felt my back would lean to the side and my legs felt heavier, almost like I was dragging one on the floor. I have returned for weekly visits and let me tell you I feel so much better and I'm able to finally sleep at night with less pain. After an exam, he suspected herniated discs and expedited me for an MRI the next day, then expedited me to a successful spine surgeon for a consult. I came to Silicon Valley Integrative and Chiropractic in a lot of pain--if you've had nerve pain, you know what I'm talking about. I had sticker shock for sure-the plan I was offered was a package that is paid up front without insurance (and then, when it's complete, I can submit for reimbursement). The program includes spinal decompression, lumbar flexion, e-stim, hot laser treatment, and chiropractic adjustments, several times a week. To be clear, that may not be everyone's path for treatment--I got the impression that a fair amount of people had more traditional treatment plans. I took the leap, and I'm grateful I did. Eight weeks later, my pain is resolved. In addition to the skill and effectiveness of the treatment, I also want to shout out the whole team for their kindness, warmth and friendliness. Incredible care from an incredible team! I came to SVCC after having pain in my shoulders, upper back, and neck. My friend had gone here and highly recommended them. I'm so glad I followed her advice! I met with Dr. Khanali for my initial visit. This was my first visit to a chiropractor, so she walked through all the steps to understand my situation, assess my needs, and explain the various components of chiropractic care that they'd recommend. It's really cool how they can feel your bones and know exactly what's going on to cause you pain. She identified the areas of inflammation and subluxation that were exactly where I was feeling pain. I then met Dr. Parvini for my X-ray -- he took great care of me and made my X-ray experience fun! Setting up my care plan was seamless. They'd already worked with my insurance to figure out what I was covered for, and during my visit they guided me on what their recommended care protocol would cost for me. Nothing felt pressured and they left the decisions up to me. It was clear they were just here to help and make my experience easy going. Dr. Kapur has been doing my adjustments for the last several months now. Session after session, he pinpoints the challenge areas I come in with, confirms he can feel what's off where the pain is emanating from, and knows exactly what to do to help provide relief in the area. He's great at explaining the "why" behind the pain and giving tips to mitigate. Each of our sessions are very efficient. 5-10 mins of adjustment and 10 mins of "e-stim" (electronic stimulation for the muscles). I'm usually in and out within 15-20 mins. The entire team -- doctors and staff -- all make each patient feel warm, welcomed, and cared for. They're a talented bunch! We're really lucky to have such a great chiropractic clinic here in our neighborhood. I'll be recommending them to all my friends! I cannot comment on the care quality because I couldn't even get an appointment. The clinical co-ordinator picked up the phone and informed me that the office requires emailing one's license and insurance card for benefit verification. Upon asking for specific billing codes (CPT) for discussion with my insurance company, she could not provide those. Office policy does not require a physician referral but no walk-ins clients are accepted. I let the clinical co-ordinator (Kia) know that she should let her manager, Dr. Kardini know that I will be posting a yelp review about our conversation. She said she would. She shared that is the script that they use for all of their patient conversations. In other words, what a clever way of shifting the responsibility to the person that created a script. read more

I am very pleased with SVCC, the entire staff gets 5 stars. I found this place on Yelp and my insurance portal, it is located off El Camino Real right before Sylvan. Dr. Parvini is very thorough, you can tell he's been doing this for a very long time. He takes X-rays of all your problem areas prior to any treatment work being done! I've always wanted to see what is underneath my skin and I finally got to after seeing SVCC! I've been in pain for years but realized why after I saw my X-rays, I was officially diagnosed with scoliosis, spina bifida, a right shoulder nearly dislocated, and a tailbone that nearly sits parallel to the floor (it should be at a 35 degree angle). They presented me with two one month treatment plans, Class IV Laser, adjustments, taping my shoulder, and muscle flexion. The treatment plans were for everything and one without the laser. I went for the laser. My total for 3 visits/week cost $1,700 ish. It is expensive but for me it's worth it to feel better! read more

This review was long long overdue but I always wanted to spread words about Dr. Kathryn Riley. I saw her many many times on and off for different issues over last 6-7 years. She was quickly able to fix some severe issues such as lingering chronic backpains and slip disc that Ortho or Physical therapy couldn't resolve and recovery was slow. With her adjustments, the progress was miraculous, given how severe the situation was. I also recommended her to some of my friends and she fixed their long standing issues like tennis elbow and back pain. Dr. Riley is an extremely experienced chiropractor. Summary: Dr. Parvini is a brilliant technician of the musculoskeletal system. I have seen a plethora of chiropractors in my life. While most of them have given me okay run-of-the-mill adjustments that made me feel good for a few hours post treatment, none of them ever 'corrected' anything. That narrative has steeply changed since seeing Dr. Parvini. First of all, his approach is anything but run-of-the-mill. He not only cares deeply to heal his patients but, very obviously cares to understand issues at the most granular level. He does not seek to create a dependency cycle and I firmly believe that he will personally see it as a failure on his part if he cannot fix the issue at hand. His diagnostic approach includes an array of technical tests and treatments are never rushed. I am taken back by the quality and granularity of his work. After only seeing him 5 times, he corrected my tibiofemoral rotation. My spine has never felt better. The medical staff always take time to get to know my health and wellbeing needs more holistically and intervene in ways that address the issue at its core. They have consistently gone above and beyond with regular follow-ups and even responding to questions and needs over weekends. This was my very first chiropractic experience. So far, SV Chiropractic Center has exceeded all of my expectations. The staff are well-trained, very welcoming and excels at customer service. So you are well aware of what you are getting into before hand. I came in for my back pain and to relieve the pressure and tension in my muscles. Given, I have been using a personal tens unit, and hand held massage gun at home and occasionally getting a massage per month. But it was not enough. After the 8 treatments in line with acupuncture, I noticed a significant difference in my back pain and muscle tension. Previously saw Dr. Parvini in 2009 for lumbar pain and he was straight with me and said he could not help but gave me the x-rays to take to Kaiser for surgery. Now my neck is a problem and he diagnosed a C1 nerve/vertebrae interference and said he couldn't try chiropractic adjustments, but again gave me the x-rays to go for an MRI and surgery, if needed.
