Notably, they do not use complex medical terms because they take the time to explain/for you to understand. During the exam, they could tell what symptoms I was experiencing due to the misalignments I had (without me verbally stating them). After correcting my subluxations, my symptoms were relieved. I still have to go in for a weekly adjustment, but I always feel empowered after. I came for a tingling on my right arm. Dr Sung sold me a 12-visit package for 30% plus reduction, and a 2nd 12-visit package to achieve 70% plus reduction. And if needed a 3rd 12-visit, my problem would go away. (with insisting on over delivering but under promising). Initially, the tingling only happened , may be, once, twice a week. And lasted about 20minutes. My problem got worse after every visit with Dr Sung. It happened more often, and stayed longer. At the 6th visit, it happened right while he's with me. And the only thing he can say was "your problem is worse than I thought. And you should go see an Orthopedic Doctor". I came for the last time (7th visit). Still no luck. So I quit. The problem was not that Dr Sung cannot fix it. It happens. But the problem is, cracking is the only tool he has or this office has. And each visit, besides a 5+ minutes with a machine, Dr Sung only spent about 2 mins and 20 seconds on me. This gave him enough time to say (every time) how are you? your left leg is long than your right leg, and 6 adjustments: 2 lower back, 2 mid back and 2 at the neck. Even adjustment is the only tool he has, with 7 visits, there were only 2 that I had the pops every where. Most of the time, he did the crack and moved on with or without a pop. Of the 7 visits, I recalled he did retry 2 or 3 times. Only at the 3rd visit that I got 2 pops on my neck. And only after the 4th visit that I had 2 pops on my lower back. Dr Sung however is a very nice and very pleasant person, so as the rest of the staff. The office is very clean and very high tech. So the 2* is for these. I was recommended by my friend (he and his wife have been coming here for years) to come here and boy am I so glad that I did! I've been to a few chiropractic offices and I often got the vibe that I'm just another number or that I'm being judged because I'm overweight, or I feel like I'm being hastily coerced to sign up for a large amount of sessions. I already had recent X-Rays from 1 week before with another chiropractor so I was able to bring those in during my evaluation with Good Life, since they were very recent X-Rays. Or you've been to many other Chiropractors before and they didn't help You NEED to check out Good Lift Chiropractic DO NOT let Social Media (Youtube/TikTok/etc.) negatively influence your perception of the field of Chiropractic medicine. The videos you see online are done for clicks/views and don't accurately represent the profession. Now why go to Good Life Chiropractic versus other Chiropractors? 1. There are unfortunately a lot of BAD chiropractors whose services DON'T WORK and are just trying to keep you on a MONTHLY RETAINER 2. A BAD chiropractor could actually MESS YOUR BACK UP MORE 3. The COST per session w/ Good Life Chiropractic is so LOW that you can actually get the full service WITHOUT insurance for a very low price. I was actually very shocked with how affordable it is (WITHOUT insurance). Now GOING to a chiropractor is NOT A SILVER BULLET. Each individual situation is different and these services (or any for that matter) aren't guaranteed to fix your back issues. I know friends who've got addicted to pain killers due to some traumatic injury (either due to sports [e.g. football] or some type of accident, e.g. car/motorcycle) who a chiropractor has saved them from drug addiction. I also know other friends who've been to hundreds of chiropractic sessions and have had NO results or benefits. So like with everything, your results will vary (even with the best chiropractors) since your individual issues may or may not be within the scope of their field. But for me, it was pretty much a no brainer for me to at least TRY the service since: 1. If it didn't work I wouldn't be out of much money. 2. If I didn't try it, I would have to deal with constant back pain. 3. And the BEST case (which ended up happening) was my back would be fully healed and better than it was before. I am a young 32 year old guy who is fairly active (runs/plays sports/lift weights). I also avoid things like deadlifting, picking up things with my back etc. so I really didn't expect to have any type of back issues. I do work an office job but only really sit in front a computer for 2-3 hours a day. The issue I had was being on my computer/phone too much at night time right before I go to sleep (sitting in prolonged bad postures set me up for back issues). For me, being young, I would have minor back pains/tweaks but could just sleep it off and be fine in the morning and not worry about it. Now one day, I got a new backpack and put my laptop in it. I wore the backpack for maybe 10-15 minutes MAX that day but the next day I started having back issues that wouldn't go away. It started just in my mid back and then progressively got worse and ended up giving me back pain everywhere. I took medical leave for work for about a week thinking I could rest it off but couldn't. Then I had to go back to work and just decided to deal with the pain. I was told by a lot of my older coworkers to try out a chiropractor and finally they convinced to do so. (I did so otherwise I would just have to deal with constant pain). The only regret I have is not have found them faster. I do not have chronic pain or any other issue but I started to have hip pain and then it translated to a low back pain, knees even my ankles. The good life Chiropractor is truly the place to come! I can't start to explain how pleased I was with my time at the good life. There are so many reasons this practice is phenomenal. First, at the initial evaluation they take x-rays so that they can best diagnose you, as well as take a neurological scan to see if any of your nerves are pinched/ irritated in certain areas. In addition, they ask all about your health history and care to know the details. I am temporarily at a new chiropractor due to going back to school, and they did not give this thorough of a diagnosis. The Good Life truly starts you off with an outstanding diagnosis. Next, Dr. Sun is so phenomenal and goes above and beyond. He is friendly, knowledgable, and thorough with his work. In addition, he is rather gentle which for me was a huge plus because I don't know about you, but I personally don't love the sound or feeling of of my neck being cracked. But, he makes it just fine and dandy and is also very willing to answer any questions or address any concerns. (note: he even calls you the evening of your very first appointment to make sure you're doing okay! What great service!!) Lastly and most importantly, I felt pain and tension relief so quickly through my appointments (went a little over a month and felt a huge difference). It was worth every penny. I've been putting off this review for too long, so sorry to all at the Good Life Chiropractic. Well what can I say I was looking at surgery dates two months ago and I for sure didn't want to go through that path. I was calling and searching around and I saw the Good life reviews on Yelp and it's so close to where I live. I wrote in for a question regarding insurance and out of pocket patients and Fred answered very quickly and I was able to make an appointment quickly. At my first appointment they evaluated me and the odds they gave me of not having surgery and being pain free was the best news they gave me in months. I was in pain for 7 plus months each month getting worse and worse. Dr Sun Hwang and Fred gave me all of the information I needed and showed me illustrations so I could understand the severity of my then situation. Now 2months Of treatments I'm back at work, I'm pain free. Yes I still need work but compared to how I was in March I'm close to being perfect. Dr Hwang is very professional knowledgeable and patient with my questions and me pointing out my new experiences after each treatments.
