TLDR: * Kaiser / ASH accepted here! * Dr. James is STRONG and so his adjustments are powerful if needed (which I needed) I've been to several different chiropractors all over the bay area. I was thrilled to find one near my work that accepted kaiser. Phenomenal spinal adjustment by Dr. James. He is young (maybe in his 30s?) and buffed . That makes a difference because I'm a big dude and I feel like previous chiropractors were not able to adjust me successfully. Place is elite. They actually do GONESTEAD chiropractic. It is NOT ordinary. They actually learn your body and make proper adjustments. I have been to places that have routine things they do and you leave feeling exactly the same after 5 minutes. When you go they ask you a solid 29304829 questions, but once that is done you MUST try the electric stimulations they offer before the adjustment; it is life changing. They even have the ringer dinger/Y axis pull ( I do not recommend unless you need this ish lol). They are a bit confused as you have to wear masks while you use used pens, and lay on surfaces that others have used lol, but other than that its amazing. 10 out of 10. read more

I was recommended Dr. Nic by a friend after a car accident and I'm so happy i came here. The staff are all very friendly and helpful, Dr. Nic really listens and makes sure to take care of problem areas. After about 3 months, i feel no more pain. The office is clean and they make sure to disinfect after every patient. Thrive is exceptional. I've been visiting since 2022 for back pain, and the treatments have been outstanding. I used to go to Thrive Milpitas but switched to this location after discovering Dr. James had switched offices. I highly recommend him if you visit. This has by far been the best chiropractic experience I've ever had! I was greeted the moment I came in and was given a tour of what Thrive 20/20 had to offer. My treatment began with a consultation which led to transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation and heat therapy. The staff is extremely kind and accomodating. Dr. Nick was the chiropractor that adjusted my body and is way better at it than all the prior chiropractors I've been to. Other chiropractors have tried doing the same adjustments on me, but I left Thrive 20/20 feeling better than ever. I'll be opting in for the massage next time I come in for a chiropractic session. I easily booked an appointment online but when I arrived, we realized I showed up on the wrong day. I would have had to wait a week for the next availability but Dr Bergland was so kind as to squeeze me in. Dr Bergland made sure to consult with me and hear about my issues and what I've done so far to treat my upper back/neck/shoulder pain. We got started on a number of treatments - stem machine, heat, adjustments, Thera gun, etc. and I felt some immediate relief. I also woke up with no pain for the first time in years. In fact, I woke up at 2am because I was wondering where my pain went and was feeling for it and couldn't find it. I'm hopeful I can lift weights as normal without pain. I'm planning to come in a couple of times a week to start. I'll update my review after a month to share if there have been drastic improvements. I messaged Thrive 20/20 through yelp and their response were actually quite fast. I scheduled an appointment for 07-01-19 at 12:30pm, but ended up rescheduling to 4:15pm because I had just found a stray kitten as I was leaving the house. Calling in last minute to reschedule the receptionist was friendly and kind. Came in at 4:10pm and had filled out two documents just initialing, dating, and signing. The two ladies up front were informative, friendly and sweet. Both had a smile on their faces as I walked in which is great because today was my first time coming here- to a chiropractor as well! First faces I see which were smiles made me feel more at ease. Franchesca showed me around the office and explained thoroughly what the rooms were used for. She took my vitals and informed me Dr.Nic would be attending to me shortly. Dr.Nic just finished up with a client and came into the office where I was waiting. He asked me a few questions to get a background of why, when and where my pain were at and started. He did a few exercises on me to make sure I didn't have major injuries. Luckily they were just all tensions and my back pain is simply because of my pregnancy. After meeting Dr.Nic he started me off with the electric stimulation for 20 minutes. After I was done with the electric stimulation I was massaged for around 3 minutes with a MED massager (see photos). Dr.Nic assisted me again shortly after and he cracked my neck plus spine adjustments. Stretched my legs to loosen the tightness around my hip area. Dr. Yu is a miracle worker. My two shoulders are weathered from years of swimming. Bursitis has taken away my mobility to perform simple tasks. In one visit, the adjustment of Dr. Yu and the team gave me back hope. I feel 80% better! The staff was very friendly and helpful. This may not be their entire fault but my back never got better. I would get temporary relief for an hour two but even with doing the recommended workouts 30-45 everyday I saw no progress. I went for 6 visits and at that point I had to stop. I asked to get treatment switched up because it felt like it wasn't helping. I would go back for a different issue but not for my lower back since it didn't seem to help. read more

Dr Nic is awesome! I've had back pain for 20 years from an old soccer injury and have gone to probably a dozen different chiropractors in that time. Most just do a quick 3 minute adjustment and push you out the door. Dr Nic is genuine and takes time to figure out the best adjustments for the session. A visit usually lasts about 30-40 minutes with the eletrostim/heat/quick massage. I came here specifically to try a Y-Strap adjustment and it was everything I dreamed of. The cherry on top is how deep Dr Nic gets with his adjustments in the upper back/neck/shoulder region. Relieves so much tension. The last thing is that I have yet to be upsold on constant therapy. They said once I was feeling good that I should only come back once every month or two. Nice and honest. read more

I have OTS and Dr Nick and Ariel, are the best in the Biz! My pain was down to a 50% after the first sitting, after the second sitting, I have almost 95% pain relief! This is my first chiropractic baseline. I generally have pain both my upper and lower back. Went to 20/20 because they had an introductory deal through my wife's company. First appointment was good. The doctor really spent a lot of time with me and the pain was relieved. Since then she no longer works here. Not sure if she's gone completely or if she's at their other different. Anyway, the treatments from the new doctor are good. Not as good as that original visit but still good enough that I have come back over a half dozen times. Check in process is quick on a touch screen computer. Then they always use an electro-therapy device of some sort and a heating pad for 10-15 minutes to loosen it up. Then he does the alignments. Most are good except for the one where he pushes the middle of the back while I'm on my stomach. It's a little too harsh. Sometimes they finish it up with a laser treatment or this other vibrating device a. Sometimes not. I think for $60 they should give you everything every time. read more

Making an appointment was easy and quick. The best part, however, was that Dr. Berglund was able to skillfully and immediately address the nagging injury that I had! Found this place thanks to Groupon. I never would have considered it if it weren't for a deal I just couldn't pass up. Quite skeptical because I hate the cold. Scheduling an appointment was easy. It took me less than 2 minutes. They're completely accommodating and after your first initial appointment, sessions are no longer than 3 minutes which enabled me to drive a mile to get a session in during my lunch. - strip your clothes off - put on socks - put on booties - put on gloves - put on snow gloves - put a robe on - step into chamber - take rob off - either do the full 3 min. or opt for 2 min. (I did 3 min.) - turn every 30 seconds (sounds easy, right) - degrees go -137 to -145 Objective of cryotherapy for me is to reduce inflammation and relieves muscle and joint soreness. I workout 7 days a week, incorporating both bodybuilding and powerlifting. It's a wreck after each gym session. Leaving the first session my first time felt incredible. I wasn't sore in the morning. Highly recommend if you beat yourself up in the gym. read more

Dr. Bauer came in to my work to give a lunch n' learn presentation a few weeks ago. He really opened my eyes to the importance of getting my spine checked for misalignment and how a misalignment might be the answer to why I have so much lower back and neck pain. So I scheduled an appointment for a consult, exam and first alignment. Over the course of the past few years I have developed a slight limp, which is exaggerated any time I am having lower back pain. I had always assumed that this was a muscular issue. It never once occurred to me that my limp might have something to do with my spine alignment. Well, I limped into the 20/20 office and, after my appointment, my limp was noticeably improved. I felt like I was standing taller and straighter too. I simply cannot say enough about how great this place is! I have had adjustments now with both Dr. Bauer and Dr. Doyle, and they are both fantastic. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and it is obvious that they are really invested in making you feel better, not only in the moment, but long term. You can tell that they really care about the folks who come into their office. I am also so happy about how easy it is to go in for an adjustment now that I'm a patient. I simply show up during their open adjusting hours, tag myself in, lay down on the next available bed, get my adjustment (with lots of quick catching up and friendly conversation with the doctors), and within 10-15 minutes I am back out the door and on with my day.
