I went to R3 twice weekly for more than two months to help my knee recover so that I could get back to jogging regularly. While making the appointment, I was already appreciative of how friendly and helpful Regina was. (Regina also helped walk me through the process of billing my health insurance.) During the consultation, I was impressed by how thorough the initial assessment was. I've worked with all three physical therapists on staff -- Doctors Jordan, Julia, and Des. They are all so supportive and caring! The exercises are tough at times, as they should be, but I've never felt pushed too hard (More than a year later, and I jog regularly while keeping up with the strengthening exercises that I learned at R3. No injuries!) Mikey and the rest of the front desk staff are also very friendly and supportive, always ready to greet you (and say goodbye) with a big smile! read more

edit 2/10/26: Now seeing Dr. Shaine for my shoulder rehab and she is working magic. She's pushed me from "cant lift my arm past my ribs" to being able to lift weights again. She is so knowledgeable and professional, you know you're getting the best care with her. I also have to give the whole staff a shout here as well. Every single member is so friendly, it really feels like stepping into a friend's house. Literally everyone will greet you with a smile on their face when you come in! It's a wonderfully positive environment where you can heal not just the body but also the heart lol --- Tldr: Great place for sports rehab. Excellent, very friendly service! They don't take insurance, it's a bit pricey, and felt a bit sales-y at first, but I fully trust Dr Jordan and team wanting the fastest, and strongest recovery for me. At the end of the day, it's important to me to get back to playing volleyball, and the results so far have been worth the cost. I twisted my ankle pretty bad a couple months ago, and the level of attention and thought that goes into my treatment is above and beyond my expectations. Dr Jordan patiently listens to my experiences week after week and develops hypotheses and remedies as he and I learn about what was damaged and needs improvement. As I heal, we quickly refocus our efforts on the next most important issue, changing the rehab as necessary. R3 seems to specialize in sports recovery, and their stated goal is not just to get you back to functionality, but to push you all the way into playing shape. read more

After trying a in-network physical therapist, I knew I had to look elsewhere for the results I wanted. Not only was Mikey incredibly friendly and knowledgeable during my first phone call, but the entire team is kind and welcoming. I was assigned to Dr Dustin Sun. At first I thought he was pretty young to be treating me BUT after the first initial consultation, I knew we'd be a good match. He has great "bedside manner" and encourages you to keep trying to do better. He put me at ease with my short comings and celebrated when I got stronger. Knew when to pull back and when to encourage me to keep going. His knowledge of the human body and how to treat my challenges gave me so much confidence in his guidance. He's also a pretty cool guy and fun to talk to. I feel no matter who you go to, you're in great hands! I saw Dr Shaine once due to schedule conflict and she was great too! Dr. Shaine ftw!! This is a good investment especially if you are a young athlete who cares about training hard and staying healthy. Usually, I just watch YouTube videos to try to fix problems myself, but when I tried doing that for my knees and the pain didn't go away, I found R3 Athletic online and scheduled a free discovery visit with Dr. Shaine. Not only was I able to see progress on my knees after the first couple of sessions, but we also started tackling the back pain I had for years too, and that also got better! Vibes are also great. This is a long overdue review! I've been working with Dr. Des at P3 since last summer, and I honestly can't say enough good things about her! I initially came in with a shoulder injury that was so bad, I could barely move my arm. Thanks to her, it's resolved and no longer debilitating. Every once in a while it flares up, but she's always quick to help me work through it so it doesn't become a big setback. Since then, I've continued seeing her for my chronic back pain (8+ years) and a whole list of other issues -- knee pain (from my physically demanding job as an ICU RN), neck and shoulder tension, TMJ issues, tension headaches, costochondritis, and the list goes on. She's extremely attentive and adjusts my sessions based on what I'm dealing with each week, whether it's vertigo flare-ups or other concerns. It's rare to find someone who listens so carefully and truly tailors care to you. I appreciate that P3 doesn't just focus on symptom relief -- they emphasize real rehabilitation and getting you back to moving and exercising confidently. I used to be intimidated by exercises such as deadlifting and never thought I would try it, but Dr. Des taught me how to perfect my form and showed me how to deadlift for the first time in my life! In addition to the strength-building exercises, I also love the hands-on manual therapy (such as joint mobility) and cupping therapy they include as part of treatment -- it's made such a huge difference for me. Besides being an incredible physical therapist, Dr. Des is just a genuinely kind, personable individual. She makes you feel so comfortable from day one, which is something that's really important when you're dealing with pain or injuries. The whole environment at P3 is just as welcoming! Mikey at the front desk is always warm, positive, and makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. His energy really sets the tone for a great experience every time. Yes, they doesn't take insurance and they're priced higher than some other clinics -- but it's 1000% worth it. As someone who's lived with chronic pain for years and seen countless therapists, I'm very picky about where I go. Michael and Desiree are tremendous Physical Therapists and healers. They help saved my foot from debilitating pain that left me on medical leave. R3 came to my immediate help when I sprained my neck badly, 3 months post partum and I had difficulty moving my neck making feeding my baby difficult. R3 understood my pain and set clear goals for the therepy and gave me realistic exercises that can gradually enable me to do basic movements including feeding. I liked that their first strategy was to unlock my neck to be at least able to feed my kid. All kudos to Dr Shaine's planning , strategy and efforts, I am now able to even play with my kid. She continues to treat with a few more classes left, to strengthen my neck and back. Thanks a lot to her and her team. They have helped me with running things smoothly with my insurance as well. I heard about R3 (P3) from my brother, who has been a recent patient and shared positive experiences so far. I knew one of the PTs beforehand so I was hoping to get to work with her. However, because of her busy clientele, I got to work closely with Shaine. I really appreciate her attention to detail, all the helpful tips and training she provided me, but also how easy she is to talk to and ask questions; as if I've known her longer. I came in needing help with my right trap muscle. It was extremely tight and sensitive and I knew I wanted to see if R3 was the right fit for me. She was very gentle and patient with me, and I was proud to see progress at each session. She was very reassuring and always made sure I was comfortable with her touch, the cupping, the shock wave therapy, and all the workouts we did. I'd highly recommend her and any of the PTs here. After about 6 sessions, I feel little to no more pain and tightness in my trap muscle, and it's so relieving. Their entire staff is very friendly and accommodating. If I could give more stars I would. Dustin is my main provider and his guidance to fix my sciatica issue has given me confidence about the process and in myself. Each session I come with eagerness to learn the next exercise to improve the stability of my lower back. I've had an outstanding experience with Dr. Michael and his team during my recovery from an ankle fracture and ongoing work for mild medial arthrosis. When I started, I couldn't walk without crutches, and within about 4-5 weeks I was able to hike nearly 4 miles without them--something that felt impossible early on. The sessions focussed on smart compound movements and mobility work, and I've seen significant improvements in my mobility after each session, with very minimal post-session pain. Everything feels intentional and well thought out, balancing strength, movement quality, and long-term joint health. Dr. Michael and his entire team are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely caring. I really enjoy my sessions and actually look forward to them, which says a lot during rehab. Thanks to their guidance, I'm back to hiking confidently and working toward returning to CrossFit soon. I'm excited to continue making progress and can't recommend them highly enough. read more

A few years ago I had an unfortunate encounter with a barbell in a squat rack that fell sideways and did bad things to my meniscus and MCL. This required surgery to repair/remove the torn meniscus. I tried no less than five different PT places but I was unable to get attention for my specific pains and specific goals. I would make progress, regress after pain in the knee would flare up, and be given the same standard treatment plan of stretches and PT exercises. The system just isn't set up for a fast and full recovery. I found P3 from my old personal trainer actually, and I've worked with all the doctors there at this point. The service is next-level -- no unanswered emails or dropped appointments here. You get a full hour with a fully qualified DPT who marinates in your file, and then the full staff reviews your case weekly, so essentially you can get an appointment with any of the staff and be taken well care of. You'll get prescribed some of the same exercises yes, but you'll also have your programs tailored at a moment's notice. You feel a pain coming back when you "do this?" They'll help. Had a few times where I had a lot of knee or foot pain and they were able to help alleviate symptoms in-clinic as well. The key here is that they're working with you to work toward specific athletic goals, and your exercises will reflect that. They pay very close attention to your form and progress --- at a very overworked in-network PT clinic, I once had to ask a PT after 30m if I was "doing it right" only to find I was not. So thats 30m gone. You wont run into that here. They've got a range of modalities to try. Some of its new-fangled stuff like shockwave therapy or blood restriction cuffs, but they've also got cups in the back and even a good old fashioned sport massage if the occasion calls for it. The key here I think is that they will make an informed decision to try anything even if it is a bit off the beaten path. As an example, I could not tolerate load-bearing exercises while bending my knee for some time, so we tried cupping. It was painful but worked wonders and I can complete the treatments symptom-free as a result. If theres anything they think has even a chance to help you, they'll consider it. I'm a firm believer that you pay for what you get, and yea you will pay if you go here (its not in-network with anyone, there are good reasons for that, but that will not change so budget accordingly). I can safely say that the time I pay for each appointment was well worth the lost time and co-pays for my in-network treatments. Consider it an investment in living the limited life we lead. They have flexible plans too. Come say hi to Doctor Michael, Dez, Julia, and Jordan. They're great people, and Mikey will always make sure your taken care of and leave with a smile on your face. I sustained a pilon fracture of my right tibia and fibula while hiking in a national park and was taken to a trauma center for emergency care. After ORIF surgery, I knew the rehabilitation process would be long and demanding. I recently underwent implant removal and am continuing my rehab with P3, which reflects the trust I have in the quality of care here. Dr. Michael has been exceptional throughout my recovery. I came to R3 Therapy when I was in desperate need of strategies to make pain go away from whiplash when I was rear-ended and sandwiched in a car accident. I didn't seek out therapy until 8 months after the accident. Due to how long I waited and how severe the pain was I thought my back pain, neck pain, and knee pain might never really make that much of a difference. I was completely surprised by the growth and difference my physical therapy and shockwave therapy with Desiree made in levels of healing and recovery I never thought possible. My middle and lower back which initially hurt the most is pretty much pain free now. My neck can turn again to almost the full range before encountering any stiffness, which is huge for me, and again I never thought was possible. If you are in need of a doctor in physical therapy especially with an incredible understanding of sports movements for nearly any sport activity (mine was olympic weightlifting and strength training), she is the one you want. Not only does Desiree have the expertise, but a genuine determination, and kind empathetic caring character that we all hope to find in any healthcare professional who helps us get better. It is also an honor to have someone who has a talented background as Desiree, to be equally hyped and excited for the major steps in growth I have made in getting on my way back to the platform. I have been back in the gym doing an in between sport too while doing therapy, so it is also nice that I am able to get back into doing some movements gradually without having to be fully exited from care. Very friendly unit. Patient with answering detailed questions and explaining the mechanics of what is happening with your body and how to fix it. An even bigger plus is how encouraging and supportive they are - as it is natural to feel emotionally low during an injury. Once they diagnose the issue/the issue is understood, they have a clear plan of how to move forward. And the plan is adjustable if there are hiccups along the way. Highly recommend to stick to their plan. It worked for me after two injuries while playing badminton and playing amateur tournaments. I learnt a lot about how connected the body is. But more importantly, I came out of the injuries literally stronger and more confident than before and am still continuing the sport and training without any thought nagging in my mind about previous injuries. I would say, it's important to keep up with what they've taught you after you have recovered to keep injury risk at a minimum. Further, I love the mindset p3 has - your body just needs to be stronger to support the tasks you need/want it to do (vs. your body needs to rest, which isn't a long term solution imo). read more

Dr. Des and the team at P3 have been life-changing. After being diagnosed with spondylosis, I chose P3 to help me get back to living pain-free--and I'm so glad I did. I had constant lower back pain for over a year, but after just a few sessions, I felt real relief. I have been with R3 for about a year and a half, and I couldn't have been happier with their services. They are by far the best physical therapy clinic I have been to. I initially came with knee problems, and one of their therapists worked very hard to get me back into doing what I love, which is lifting! I was finally able to squat and return to my gym routine. Later on, I started experiencing back pain, and I knew exactly where I needed to go. I went back to R3. Dr. Micheal worked very hard to get me back into the gym again. At R3 they truly care about you and your goals. Each treatment plan is curated to your specific needs and goals. It's clear that they genuinely care for their patients and want the best outcomes for them. Dr. Micheal and Dr. Des have gone above and beyond to not only help me physically but also supporting me mentally. Being injured takes a hue toll on mental health. There were times Dr. Micheal took the time to sit down and explain the mechanisms behind pain and recovery. That truly changed my perspective behind rehabilitation and its outcomes. Been long overdue for a review for this place and I still have high praises! All of their staff members, Mike, Pooja, Julia, and Michelle are wonderful. Initially, I had hip pain and my PCP referred me to a ortho doctor who thought it would be a neuro issue and prescribed meds that aren't the best. The doctor pretty much made it sound worst than it seems and referred me to a neuro doctor, who also couldn't figure out what was wrong. There was a lot of back and forth. It all sounded like they weren't getting my issues addressed, so I reached to my friend who referred me to P3. First time I stepped into this place was beyond anything I thought. Fantastic service and experience since first day. I also mentioned that I was experiencing some elbow pain but wasn't sure exactly what the issue was. The first day, I worked with Pooja and the best thing was that she knew exactly what was wrong with me and knew exactly where the pain was. I was so relieved. From them on, I began my 12 sessions not only with Pooja, but also with Julia, who is also really awesome. Both them of knew exactly how to address my issues and answer my concerns I had. They were both very meticulous and was able to recommend both hip and elbow exercises. I started seeing improvement. And that was what kept me coming back to this place, progress! I did all their exercises down to the T and I actually enjoyed doing them. Each week I was progressing and I always looked forward to their sessions. They know how to utilize their time and know when to focus on something more. I was very thankful that they gave me the tools and resources so that if there was any flare ups, I knew exactly what to do and how to treat it. My elbows and hips improved and now I am able to do regular things without any pain! Overall, I recommend this to everyone! Yes, the place is pricy, but it is worth it. I've been working with Dr Julia Muller at P3, and she might have walked straight out of Howgwarts for all I know. She has a keen eye on diagnosing nuanced problems, and working with you a set a plan that works for your individual injury. I have been to other PTs in the past but they all gave me generic exercises which didn't get to root or my issues. Julia on the other hand, listened to my experience and started addressing the root causes. She is empathetic, detail oriented and fun. While I did come to get help with a lower back injury, I feel she has gone beyond that. She is teaching me strength foundations that I will use for the rest of my life. I used to be afraid of deadlifts but the band trick she taught me(you should ask her about it too) has made it my favorite exercise in the gym. If that's not magic, I don't know what is. Getting physical therapy with the P3 team is easily one of the best decisions I've made in 2024! I was struggling with neck and back pain for a couple of months, to the point where sitting itself was uncomfortable. With Julia's assessment and her treatment plan, I was practically back to normal in a few weeks (making me wish I found Julia much sooner to avoid the months of discomfort). That's not even the most amazing part! With my neck and back feeling much better, I told Julia about knee pain that I've struggled with for years and how I wish I could get back into running. She did an assessment on my knee and created a plan to build up strength in the right muscles so I could run again. We've been working on this for a few weeks now and I am beyond happy to say that I'm officially jogging! And I am so excited to work up to that half marathon I've been dreaming about for years (not kidding, it was actually a dream). Julia is absolutely incredible! Not only is she knowledgeable in her field, she is so down to earth and fun to work with. I can't say enough good things about my PT journey at P3. I was dealing with a lower back injury from climbing and the doctor was no help. She told me verbatim "just rest" and that clearly wasn't working. After some research, I stumbled upon P3 and decided to get a consultation. I really appreciated the initial consultation with the amount of details they went into and I finally felt heard. I signed up for the 24 sessions package but I immediately started seeing results after only the first two sessions. I mainly worked with Dr. Julia and I've honestly been having a great time building foundational strength for my back, incorporating new techniques/stretches, and generally feeling pain-free and confident. My pain has consistently been at a 0 even though I'm not quite done with my sessions. I even hit my PR of deadlifting three digits today even though I started a few months ago without being able to bend down because of the extreme pain. I feel like a different person and am super grateful for the team there because they're always checking in on you, making sure you're heard (and I get to ask as many questions), and so incredibly knowledgable. Forgot to add but I was also able to work on my mobility and some knee and wrist pain I was dealing with and I've been generally pain free there too. My daughter plays volleyball and tennis and has had some shoulder issues due to overuse. We brought her to P3 and they have done such a wonderful job of helping her get full range of motion back. As mentioned in previous reviews, they do not take insurance however their prices are reasonable. They mix western methods with traditional eastern methods such as cupping. My back was in bad shape after I threw it out golfing. I couldn't really move without wincing and writhing in pain and all the icing, heat pads and Advils in the world didn't relieve my pain so I reached out to Dr. Chin again to see if he could help me out. He had me a conservative exercise/stretching program that I continued to do daily. I didn't notice much different after the first week but now after 4 weeks, my pain is pretty much gone and I am to swing the club pain free again. One day when running, my knee had intense pain to the point where I could barely walk after. I was exercises and running 5 days a week for around 3 months before this occurred. I took a week off, but immediately when I tried to run again my knees were in pain. After seeing an Orthopedic doctor I was recommended PT. After doing some research and trying another place I stumbled upon P3 from reddit. In 12 sessions my knees have felt better than ever! The staff here was awesome through the whole process and every appointment with Dr. Julia Muller was a joy. She made sure to take a hollistic approach to my knees and we even went over any other problems I had, like my shoulder from doing bench presses. On the day of my last appointment we took a view of my past running form compared to now and the difference is crazy. I had such a good experience that I will be bringing my aunt here for her knee tear for physical therapy! I feel like everyone here really took their time to get to know you and your problems. I was given the tools and exercises for my knees and shoulder in order to prevent injury in the future. If anything ever comes up again I will definitely come back! so glad I came here for my lower back pain!! in the beginning the pain was brutal and interfered with everyday movement and even my fitness goals so I came here. staff and doctors are so welcoming and friendly! they are very knowledgeable and professional as well. the doctors helped create a personalized exercise program for me and shared what I could do at home/work if I was experiencing pain. after about 3 months of visits, I was able to get back to walking, running, weight lifting, doing chores, etc. completely back pain free. now it's been about 12 months since my last visit and I've definitely been able to increase the intensity of my workouts, try new workouts, and continue to lift heavy and get stronger without any issues. overall I strongly recommend P3 as the best place for recovery and physical therapy ! read more

I'm writing the same thing here that I posted on Google. Except! I did see a negative review called out here on Yelp that I think is a bit unfair. I will say that while it is true that P3 does not accept insurance, the best clinics will not take insurance unfortunately. They will at best give you a detailed invoice so that you can submit a claim. And this is not just PTs but many other specialists out there such as dermatologists. That's my personal experience as well in other cities. I think it's important to add that insurance companies are ruthless in negotiating down medical fees, and fighting tooth and nail on each line item. Dealing with insurance unfortunately requires a lot of effort that hospitals are more equipped to handle as they have large admin & finance departments. In any case, I would personally entrust a practitioner more that understands the value of their service; and that sees people who are willing to pay fair market value for their work, than rely on insurance to get compensated. And as far as I can see, there are many people very willing to pay fair value for P3's expertise. That's my opinion! Okay, now on to my review: Dr. Michael and his team are fantastic. I'm a very active person, in love with running, cycling, just everything. And unfortunately, with that, sometimes come injuries. When I first started seeing Dr. Michael a years back for a knee injury, it was only after doing a LOT of research to find the right PT. I am so picky in this way because so many PTs out there will only throw workouts at you that they studied from outdated textbooks, and tell you to run less and be less active. It was really important to me to find someone that understands the value of sports and fitness as part of a full life. Dr. Michael and his team genuinely care about your well-being, and take a very holistic approach to physical mobility. They want you to be active, and promote an active, pain-free lifestyle. They had also followed up with me in the past just to keep me accountable. While I had worked with Dr. Michael years past, his team has since expanded, and more recently I've started seeing Dr. Julia due to a foot / back injury and she is absolutely amazing. She has helped me recover, and most importantly, taught me many concepts on the body's mobility that I will take with me forever. If you're having issues, and want to make sure you're not just getting textbook help, I cannot recommend P3 enough. read more

12/10 would recommend. After months of lower back pain and a very mediocre experience with a different PT, my brother recommended I come to P3. When I first came to their clinic, my movements were incredibly limited and I had a hard time walking, sitting or standing for too long. I couldn't lean back at all, and I was taking Advil multiple times a day for weeks. First of all, Mikey at the front desk is such a joy! He has such a welcoming smile and personality, it really gets each session started off right. I worked with both Dr. Michael and Dr. Desiree - both of whom were amazing. I felt like they were both genuinely interested in solving my issues and treatment felt tailored to me - it never felt rushed and never felt like they were just following a script. I love that they spent the full session with me, rather than throwing me to a tech/aide which is common at other clinics. With every session, I was learning something new about my body and learning different ways to address pain and tightness. Dr. Mike and Dr. Des equipped me with the tools and exercises to continue to progress, and eventually I regained the confidence to return to heavy lifting on my own. I also especially appreciated them spending a few extra minutes after some sessions answering my questions and quelling any anxieties I may have had. Beyond their incredible care and professionalism, they are also great people in general, and I really felt like part of their family! I was always either smiling or laughing through each session with Dr. Des. And I never directly worked with Dr. Julia, but she would cheer me on from the corner during my sessions. The office music choice is also top notch... Needless to say, "graduating" from P3 was bittersweet - I am overjoyed with all the progress we made together but bummed I don't get to see the team each week anymore! It has been almost 2 months since my graduation, and I am now back to heavy lifting 5-6 days a week, pickleball 1-2 times a week, and basketball once in a while - all pretty much pain free. They don't take insurance. At all. Which is both bizarre and unheard of. Made up some BS excuse about how it's too much work LOL. Yeah. If all the other PT clinics can happily process my insurance then I know it doesn't "affect the quality of care" lmao. Also has some predatory business practices like "the first session is free" lol. So the reason I'm writing this review. Although I never saw the clinic, one of the workers Michelle had the audacity to harass me with insincere, sickly-sweet calls and texts. I'm not your patient. I never saw you. Take a hint and don't harass me. I don't care how good your therapists are. Don't harass ordinary people who have nothing to do with you. read more
