I was skeptical of this place because of so many bad reviews, but I decided to give it a chance…read moresince my doctor referred me. My first impression was that it was clean, spacious, and quite busy. I was then assigned to Nadia for my evaluation. She was nice, listened carefully, and came up with a treatment plan for my neck. I have cervical radiculopathy and was not able to sleep at night. I also have some facial pain that I believe is caused by my neck. Nadia gave me fairly standard exercises to do at home on the first day. I came back worse the following week, so I shared all my concerns with her. She adjusted my exercises and provided manual therapy on my neck and shoulders. It felt so much better, and I have been improving weekly. Make sure you let them know what is and isn't working so they can adjust your exercises as needed. I am happy that Nadia is my PT, and I am still seeing her.

They take the time to explain the exercises and make sure you feel comfortable and confident throughout the therapy process. I especially liked how friendly they were and that they gave me helpful exercises tailored to my recovery, along with printed exercise instructions to take home and continue on my own. They also gave me good guidance on safe limits for exercises, which helped me build strength and confidence without overdoing it. Their positive attitude and encouragement made a huge difference in my recovery and kept me motivated every visit. I look forward to continuing to work with people who made me feel better and helped me improve so much. The office staff is also friendly and welcoming, and the clinic is always clean and well organized. I highly recommend California Rehab Milpitas to anyone looking for excellent physical therapy care! - Dylis Young

While making the appointment, I was already appreciative of how friendly and helpful Regina was. (Regina also helped walk me through the process of billing my health insurance.) During the consultation, I was impressed by how thorough the initial assessment was. I've worked with all three physical therapists on staff -- Doctors Jordan, Julia, and Des. They are all so supportive and caring! The exercises are tough at times, as they should be, but I've never felt pushed too hard (More than a year later, and I jog regularly while keeping up with the strengthening exercises that I learned at R3. No injuries!) Mikey and the rest of the front desk staff are also very friendly and supportive, always ready to greet you (and say goodbye) with a big smile!

She is so knowledgeable and professional, you know you're getting the best care with her. I also have to give the whole staff a shout here as well. Every single member is so friendly, it really feels like stepping into a friend's house. Literally everyone will greet you with a smile on their face when you come in! It's a wonderfully positive environment where you can heal not just the body but also the heart lol --- Tldr: Great place for sports rehab. Excellent, very friendly service! They don't take insurance, it's a bit pricey, and felt a bit sales-y at first, but I fully trust Dr Jordan and team wanting the fastest, and strongest recovery for me. At the end of the day, it's important to me to get back to playing volleyball, and the results so far have been worth the cost. I twisted my ankle pretty bad a couple months ago, and the level of attention and thought that goes into my treatment is above and beyond my expectations. Dr Jordan patiently listens to my experiences week after week and develops hypotheses and remedies as he and I learn about what was damaged and needs improvement. As I heal, we quickly refocus our efforts on the next most important issue, changing the rehab as necessary. R3 seems to specialize in sports recovery, and their stated goal is not just to get you back to functionality, but to push you all the way into playing shape.

My insurance card gives this address, but apparently the office is right next door. So maybe the…read moredoctor was part or now branched to next door.... Dr. J Nguyen is friendly, but when it comes to standard of care, she needs improvement. I have had multiple physicals by various physicians (PCPs or from my past work's in-house Physician, or change of providers). With my new insurance, I was assigned Dr. Nguyen. During my physical, she barely assessed me. She placed the stethoscope ontop of my clothing (the MAs did not offer a gown), she did not wash her hands on front of me (or even use the hand sanitizer) she did not properly exam me. I was not asked any of the traditional or standard questions I've been asked by other Physicians. Given that I'm a new patient, I would expect a more through health history assessment or more questions to be asked- they are lacking OR they simply don't care. There is an abundance of plants in the lobby area, some are dying- not well taken care of. The magazines in the waiting area are old and outdated. The fish tank in the lobby area needs to be cleaned. First impression yells out "sloppy and unattended". There are stacks of PAPER chart in the back as they have not gone electronic. By 2018, I believe there is a law to be electronic for medical records, at least that is what is expected in a SNF, acute, and assisted living. Maybe clinics are an exception? Either way, they are clearly behind in their charting and the clinic is in dire need of TLC. The chairs are torn, the floor needs sweeping and so much more. As for the exam room- it feels like a dirty closet. The area to draw your blood is dark, cold, and cluttered. I wish I was assigned another provider so I will be looking to change providers to someone who actually takes the time to get a better health background. Also, the doctor went on vacation so the one in her replacement would not take new patients. Therefore, you would not only have to wait until she returns, but she would be completely booked when she did return. Overall, I've had multiple providers, as my insurance changes, therefore so does my provider. This place would be at last place.

My husband doesn't like doctors but he's willing to see Dr. Nguyen. I dig adventure sports so I've…read morebeen here on an Urgent basis and for routine illnesses. I think there are pros and cons to everywhere so here's what I've found... PROS: Dr. Nguyen will listen, ask questions and gather information to make the best diagnosis (huge pro) and she seems to really care. She also doesn't get upset if you ask a million questions. Some doctors seem to resent questions but she just goes on to explain more. She also will promptly answer questions I've phoned over to ask. Blood draw/Urine Samples can be done on-site instead of having to go to another lab. They have an EKG machine onsite so you don't have to go to another facility. They are very reasonable if you're late. My husband doesn't ever want to go, so we're always late and they've never turned us away Most of the staff is pretty experienced and they all have a good attitude. I have experienced other places where the staff's attitude makes everything more difficult. Also, they can't always answer every question but they don't try to bluff you and they will follow up with the Dr. to get an answer. I've also seen her staff help find a pediatrician for a couple who'd stopped by with a sick baby. CONS: No onsite Xray services (there are some nearby but it's a hassle to go from place to place) You used to have to wait a few days for strep test results but now she has the ones you know the answer in the office. So I guess this is an old con... Sometimes there's a long wait but I've seen Dr. Nguyen see patients not scheduled because the person was displaying some disturbing symptoms while waiting for their parent/sibling in the waiting room but then again, if it were my parent/sibling looking really sick or limping, I would want a Dr. to be concerned if they saw it. Re: other reviews.... Someone mentioned that they didn't have their insurance card and had a problem. The first time I went in, I brought my info on a post it because I had just started a new job and had fallen off a horse and I didn't have any problems, the staff got on it and there wasn't a delay. Also, at Dr. Nguyen's I got no resistance about my phlebotomy/blood draw requests and everything went super smooth on the first try, unlike other places where they wouldn't listen and I ended up with multiple pokes, bruises and wasted vials. I've received results by phone (by the dr. herself and also her assistants) so maybe you have to ask if you can get your test results by phone? My husband needed a follow up for his results but that was probably because he needed follow up care and a re-test of his blood pressure. All in all- I have been to places where I was seen a little more promptly but I really think that Dr. Nguyen's personality makes up for any inconvenience. I think I could bring anyone to her, even if they're normally afraid of doctors. She and at least one of the medical assistants are also fluent in Vietnamese, if you need that.

I went for six appointments, and every time i was assigned a different physical therapist. At first I assumed they were at least sharing notes with each other, but when they all asked the onboarding question of "so what do you do for work" it became clear they weren't. PT assistants are covering at least two patients at the same time, and also spending time chatting with other assistants or working at computers. This means patients have a lot of wasted time in between exercises while they wait for the PT assistants to remember they exist and come back to give further instructions. Two inexcusable things happened at my last appointment: -15 minutes after my scheduled appointment was supposed to start I was still waiting in their lobby. When I mentioned that to their receptionist they went back and checked. The staff had forgotten about my appointment and didn't have any assistants available to take me right away. -The physical therapist I eventually saw had me do some stretches, and acknowledged they could see I was in pain while doing them. I asked if pain meant I should dial back the stretches and they said yes. So instead of the therapist stopping the stretches immediately when they saw I was in pain they let me continue, and it took many days for me to recover from that additional pain. One last red flag: When I called their office to try to cancel all my remaining appointments and selected the extension for current patients, nobody answered the phone. When I called back and selected the extension for new patients, someone did answer the phone.

Cherise at the front desk keeps all the appointments in order, and the communication is excellent. I strongly endorse this practice.

Any accident that affects your health is already stressful and painful enough to deal with - but Dr. Hwang and his team made the entire recovery process so much easier to manage. They made every visit seamless, predictable, and comforting during a time when everything else felt overwhelming. From my very first appointment, Dr. Hwang walked me through a clear and thoughtful treatment plan designed specifically for my neck and back injuries. Each visit was consistent, purposeful, and explained in a way that helped me understand how my body was healing. They were always on time, incredibly flexible with scheduling, and truly focused on my primary health and well-being as their number one priority. The staff deserves their own praise - they're friendly, organized, and genuinely caring. They check in on your progress, they remember your situation, and they create an environment that feels supportive and safe, which makes a huge difference when you're trying to recover.
