My 5 year old boy came here with a swollen painful knee. His doctor told us that it's transient synovitis. Faye treated him with moxi and acupuncture. Came into Numo to get acupuncture for the first time to address back spasms and pain I had recently. Worked with Guillermo for the first session and he did a great job answering questions I had and made me feel more at ease. With the addition of cupping, I left feeling more relaxed and slightly sore as I felt some muscles that weren't activating as much before starting to activate. My second session was with Melanie and after explaining the lower back pain I had, she assessed my condition and worked on different points than I did my first session. She was very welcoming and I could tell she was very knowledgeable when she was putting in the needles and talking through some of them. The pain I had was still present, but I could feel it was improved when she had me rotate my hips to check afterwards. I also got a massage with Chuck and I definitely felt a lot of relief from all the tightness I was holding in my body. He was able to address the problem areas that I had in a way that I feel like my muscles really needed and explained and guided me through breathing through the releasing of specific deep tissue. I came to Numo after suffering a minor concussion. I am several weeks into my recovery and I do not know where I would be without the amazing care and support I have received from Melanie and Chuck. I did acupuncture for the first time with Melanie. She is incredible. During my first visit she took the time to really get to know me. After reading positive reviews on Yelp, I visited this place for my lower back pain with Faye. After going for 5 accupuncture session +cupping (450$) I did not even see 1% improvement in my pain! Cons - They are over booked and always run late for an appointment. Each acupuncturist have an appointment for every 10 min, yes 10 min!! Faye attended 5-6 patients at a time every time I went in, I personally felt she did not give enough time and care for me and looked rushed always. They put needle on one person and attend another! Needles were kept on me for 55 min though they said it needs to be kept about 30-40 min, they did not have time to remove needles on time as they were too busy attending other waiting patients! I did not leave this clinic feeling better and nice. When I told Faye I am not feeling difference in my pain after 2 sessions, she made negative allegations on me and my mental health which was shocking for me! They don't handle patients with empathy(at least I was not treated with kindness and care). I would not recommend this place. read more

I went to Numo acupuncture for my shoulder pain that I had for around 4 years. I used to do PT, but still, the pain was there. But Melissa was able to understand the pain and was able to help alleviate my pain with acupuncture and cupping. She also did a good work with Guasha for my ankle. What surprised me was that she found out an issue that I had not disclosed to her when she was doing acupuncture. Went here on a Wednesday with my boyfriend to see what the hype was all about. I enjoyed the experience from start to finish! Though nervous and scared, I was reassured by Johnny Wang that I would feel an uncomfortable pain for the chi to enter my body. Process took about 45 minutes. I called in to make an appointment, although I wasn't able to get anyone when I called due to the phone constantly ringing and voicemail not working. The owner did reach out via email to respond to my questions which I appreciate. I had an appointment, I walked in... wasn't greeted. I stood at the front until someone who was assisting a client said someone will be with me shortly. I waited in the waiting area for an hour after my appointment.... After an hour I was finally helped. I was already pretty upset and agitated. I do understand business gets busy which is wonderful! But, don't over book if you don't have the staff as it's not respectful to your clients time. As far as the service, the person who helped me was really knowledgeable! Which is why I'm not completely rating it horribly. However, I've had an amazing acupuncture experience before which may have swayed my experience here. THIS IS NOT PRIVATE or and 1 on 1 experience. You're getting treated in a room full of people. One person is running back and forth treating like 5-6 people. You get what you pay for. It's decently priced. That's a positive I suppose. Let's preface this review by saying that I was very skeptical about acupuncture and its validity in the 21st century. I was also wrong. After being rear-ended in our car, we went for some gentle treatment at Numo and Jonathan took us under his wings! He is a calm, gentle and professional acupuncturist who suggested a certain treatment and schedule! My problem was lower back pain that has been affecting me for years and my wife had problems with missed periods (she didn't have one for over a year) and general tiredness! Let's hope my husband and daughter doesn't see this review. Anyhow. Acupuncture is without a shadow of a doubt, the best thing I've ever done for myself (and my daughters health). I had numerous people passionately suggest trying acupuncture to tackle ailments I was experiencing and a health issue my daughter was battling with for 5+ years. From appointments, to prescriptions after prescriptions, I became desperate to find a solution - so we finally gave acupuncture a try. A trusted friend recommended Victoria at Numo and the only regret I had, was not seeing her sooner. Victoria is hands down one of the kindest people I've ever met. She's personable, extremely knowledgeable, a great listener, and empathetic. She always asks courteous questions, let's us talk (which I do A LOT of) and listens to our health concerns to understand AND respond. I've been coming here on and off for the last few years (I'm not a local). It's so great to see all the additions they've brought to Numo/Living Room Acupuncture! I have an auto-immune condition and the acupuncturists here are amazing! I always leave this place feeling refreshed and relaxed! I am almost 25. I have been seeing acupuncturists at different facilities since I was a teen. This place is definitely by far one of my favorite places besides in my hometown, Minneapolis. They have a private room as well as a community room with a sign that specifically asks you to have your phone on silent, which is great! The community room has music, and lots of comfortable seating. I love Numo because they don't just have the traditional massage tables to lay on, they have the gravity chairs (& used to have recliners) which makes it more homey & relaxing in my opinion :) they have blankets and heaters if you're cold. Very accommodating for those who have Raynaud's phenomenon or other conditions! The music makes it very tranquil and I fall right asleep after laying for a few minutes. I also love that the acupuncturists are so knowledgeable and give great advice and supplements/herbs if needed. I have seen Victoria, Faye, Jonathan & Guillermo. They all are great and don't think I really have a favorite yet ;) I feel like acupuncture/finding a good acupuncturist is like darts. The first time you might not hit the bullseye so just try again with another appointment/acupuncturist :) This place is welcoming and honestly has been so helpful for me. They've helped my nausea, joint pain, hormone imbalance, digestion, headaches, neuropathy, and much more. They also offer cupping which I absolutely love too! This is long overdue review. Since WFH, I been working longer hours infront my computer. The incorrect posture cause muscle tension. It is too late when I realize need a change. I been experiencing tremendous neck and lower pain for 2 weeks. I can not turn my neck, and have limited mobility when climbing stairs. I seeked help from chiropractor, but the help is temporarily. Chronic back pain was flaring up a bit so I desperately looked for a highly rated cupping place. Numo has great reviews and even better, I easily was able to book online as a new customer. There were availability the very next day! Went in and Jonathan took care of me. I've done cupping before but this was the most cups I've ever had done. I pointed out my pain points and he had not problems securing cups anywhere I felt I needed. He also had professional bedside manner and checked with me on the pressure of the cups. I subtracted a star because the cupping area I was put in at my first appt was pretty open so it's not comfortable getting undressed. Jonathan gave me a sheet to cover up which was nice but would be nice to be in a room. My second appt was in a room. If you're uncomfortable being out in the open, you should request the room. I felt incredible relief and loose after so it worked! Feeling thankful I found this place and that it's nearby my house. I posted my results on FB and people were amazed and wanted to try. I saw both Johnathan for acupuncture & Eugenie for chiro at 39 weeks pregnant and I had a great experience. I was having a ton of pelvic, hips, lower back pressure & sciatica pain that my regular chiropractor was not able to fix due to not being a prenatal chiropractor. Eugenie was really gentle & extremely knowledgeable about prenatal care which brought my mind at ease. That same night I slept the entire night pain free, which hadn't happened in weeks...that next morning I felt amazing and didn't even feel pregnant. I've gone here 5+ times now with my mom and we both see Faye, the owner, for our treatments. Faye is attentive and really cares about her clients. She'll always ask you what you are looking to treat today, if you have any pain or issues and works accordingly to it. I came because I've had chronic adult acne for years now and can't seem to get it to clear. In conjunction to that, I am always overheating at night. It shows on my face as well as I get really red, especially on the lower part of my face where I have acne. Faye explained to me that it probably correlates to my hormones and eating hot/spicy food (both of which I love!). I've been more mindful of my intake and also purchased some herbal pills she recommended. The first two sessions, I broke out even more. She mentioned that it's a good thing because it means that the treatment is pushing out the toxins. By the third and fourth session, I've calm down a lot and my redness is noticeably better! I do this in conjunction with acne facials and I feel like I'm seeing results for the first time in a long time. My mom came to her for her knee injury and have noticed a big difference after her third session. We both purchased the 5 pack and have finished our sessions, but I will probably do bi-monthly maintenance to ensure that I don't lose the progress that I've made. There are treatment rooms + a communal area. I have been treated in both. I really don't mind the open space/chairs as the treatment is more important to me than the ambiance. However, that may not be the case for everyone. Would definitely recommend if you're interested in acupuncture! I had pretty severe back pain in my mid to upper back on the left side, most likely due to break dancing. Went here to get it treated with a massage and after the first day, it already felt significantly better. However some of the pain was still there, so I went back for a second session and the results were pretty wild. The next day I felt 90% better, and that last 10% of pain faded over the next few days. So in total, I'd say the treatment was very worth. Chuck was the one who treated me and let me just say he definitely knows exactly what he's doing. Its really nice because he'll talk to you as he's performing different techniques, explaining what they are and what its good for. He'll also identify problem areas and how to fix, so you're not just left in the dark on what's happening. Chuck's a real personable guy with a friendly personality, and calm soothing voice which fits with the overall feel of the place. The facility itself is very relaxing and nice to be in, very zen. I was hesitant to get acupuncture, but after the baby sat on my sciatica and the pain was unbearable, I decided to give it a shot. My first time I was in the private room, they sat me in the recliner, dimmed the lights, played relaxing music, asked me a ton of questions about my pain, then applied the needles. They left me to relax and rest for about 45 minutes, which was much needed and amazing!!!! Results? Well when I stood up, I felt a release of pressure, and relief! I was able to walk again, with slight pain, but overall I felt so so great! Since then I have gone about 3 times, and another this weekend. Each time, my experience has been great! OPEN during covid -19! I've been doing acupuncture with Victoria as I have had migranes almost daily for close to one year now. I've tried tons medications and everything under the sun to get relief. Since seeing her, for the first time in 11 months I had almost 3 weeks without a single migrane. I couldn't be more thankful - and will continue coming back.
