I first saw Mai 10 months ago, which was great, and she explained everything to me. During the second visit, I developed a blister when she cupped me. She assured me it occasionally happens. Well, now it's been almost a year, and I have a very noticeable scar on my back. I also consulted with another acupuncturist and was told that the blister and scar are signs of a lack of skill. Anna Mai is fantastic at making the pain go away! Every session I have ever had has made a significant difference working my body back from physical discomfort. Updated Photos show holes, scars, bruises on face, photos taken on 10.12.2023 - 9 days after treatment other pictures, 2nd day after treatment From Facial Acupuncture, I got holes and scars other than bruises on my face. I did not get any advise or care guideline before or after the treatment. I did not realize the Acupuncture needles could damage face like nails. Front desk and Anna are friendly, but friendliness cannot compensate the bad results left on skin. Anna replied my text saying they are bruises and could fade in a few days. However, I can feel that they are uneven not like bruises. They are obviously holes and scars. My second text asking how I can make the holes disappear and Anna replied me on October 9th saying that oil Arnica, Castrol could help remove Bruises. However, the facial acupuncture treatment left HOLES and SCARS on my face, and I can feel the UNEVEN skin of those holes. After two weeks, the dots of holes are still obvious after I applied Arnica. Before the treatment, I did not usually need make up because my skin was smooth with little holes or scars. I went to the place because I was looking for facelift. Be aware, Facial Acupuncture is not for everyone, especially NOT for people with delicate skin! =============================== After 2 weeks Can Facial Acupuncture leave HOLES on face? I cannot recommend mai acupuncture enough. I had a foot injury and have been in a boot for a month and I have had great relief from getting treated here. I've had acupuncture before, but I still sometimes feel uneasy with the needles. With Michelle, she was very gentle, and made sure I was comfortable the whole treatment. I never had a moment where I felt uncomfortable. After each treatment I noticed the discomfort I was feeling in my foot during day to day activities getting better, even without the boot. After wearing my boot for a while, I felt my leg was super tight when not wearing it. I wasn't sure if it was a muscle, but it was painful to take steps. During my next appointment with Michelle, I mentioned this pain I was having. She began to check my leg and found a very big, tight knot in my leg muscle. She focused on this area for that appointment and I've felt so much relief even immediately after the treatment as I was walking out. I was suffering from loss of taste and salivary production after radiation and chemotherapy for throat carcinoma. I could taste nothing and had severe dry mouth which I was told would take months or years to improve. I was recommended to Anna by a colleague and underwent a 6 week course of acupuncture. Initially joined due to upper back discomfort & frequent headaches, which are under control. Mar'22, I developed a frozen right shoulder and was warned by my regular physician that healing will come in 2yrs with physical therapy.
