There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.

Dr. He is a pleasant person, but much more is needed than niceness and consistency means allot when going to a doctors office, or any office for that matter. Dr. He also forgot about me in the room for an hour. I was about to yell and kept thinking someone would come in to check on me but.... no one came. Until, finally I heard her out side speaking to the girl at the front reminding her I was still in there and she was was obviously freaking out that she forgot so she comes storming in to quickly take out my needles. The second thing they do here is what made it the final straw for me. I received correspondence from my insurance wanting additional information. I called and asked why and they informed me that they were requesting it from the Acupuncturist office. I then started receiving statement after statement from the insurance office to Dr. He's office with a detailed list of what they billed for and requests for additional information. I was shocked to find out that they were falsely billing for things that were not even done to me. They also billed for the same item 3-4 times all in one day, on every occasion. After doing some digging I found out that some offices illegally do this to get paid more money because once the insurance pays them its less than what they want. I called my insurance company and several other places to find out what I should do and they suggested reporting her for investigation just the same as the other yelper said she did. If you decide to still see Dr. He, check what was billed to your insurance company! No Joke, and don't be surprised if they have a lot of different treatments and services they provided to you on there even though you never received it.

I had read that not everyone gets relief from acupuncture, but it was worth a shot for me since it was my last resort, and I am so glad I did! Before acupuncture last spring, I was taking allergy pills twice a day, using a daily nasal spray and eye drops daily, just to get through the season. After just a couple of weeks of treatment, I was able to sit outside with pollen literally falling on me and have no symptoms! I was also able to reduce my medications down to one pill a day.
