I've been an acupuncturist for 30 years and have taught in the profession for ten of them. Dr. Chen is one of the best I've met. She is able to speak both Chinese medical and English western medicalese since she was also a neurologist in western medicine when she was still in China. several years ago, I came out of abdominal surgery with uncontrollable hiccups. The medical docs and I tried everything in their bag of tricks, but they were so strong I could not sleep. After 21 days, I was so tired I was hallucinating. My wife drove me to Dr. Chens' office. After the first treatment, I fell asleep. I was able to fall back asleep for awhile after getting home. The next day I had another treatment. I came to sun after having pain on the arch of my foot for over 2 years. We had 10 sessions and I can definitely say my pain has decreased so much after the 10 sessions it went from a 10 to now only occasionally hurting at a pain level if like 4. I experienced a fabulous Tui Na massage by Jessica and here is my feedback. As an older woman (over 50) and an avid cyclist, I was having MAJOR hip and upper back pain for the past 2-3 months. I visited a Chiropractor with some results, but lingering issues. This was NOT skeletal in issue...but muscular. Found Jessica on Yelp and happy to say I'm a fan. I met Sun at the door and she was quick to begin asking questions about my health, pain levels and issues. She quickly spotted my curved lower back...much of that due to stomach sleeping. Jessica soon arrived and I was ushered into a private room. Jessica asked pertinent questions about my riding, my sleeping style and where my pains were and we began the clothing on massage. She got right to work, always asking about the pressure of the massage and wanting verbal feedback during. She has strong hands and I was stretched and given appropriate pressure on my meridians and problem areas. After my massage, I felt dizzy and nauseated--NOT from the massage. A typical session begins with a discussion about life and ways to better it. This could be making small changes to get out of the bad habits we develop over the years. I mentioned to a girl friend of mine that I had been having chronic ankle pain for several months; I'd tried many healing modalities but was still in daily pain.
