I read about Dr LingYun Zhu and her Dzogchen Healing in YELP. I was researching Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncture research and narrowed down my list of acupuncturists to her. Dr. Zhu office is calming, happy and also very neat and clean. Scheduling time on my initial visit I phoned her for an appointment. Later I realized she has an online self appointment so you can find a time that works for you. You can even reschedule your appointment. It is very convenient. It is obvious upon meeting Dr. Zhu that her utmost focus is to help her patients be happy, and have no pain. After one visit with DrZhu I experienced immediate benefits. Many of these in areas I didn't even come for!! Issues I assumed I just had to deal with: 1/ SLEPT ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT My Insomnia disappeared! Actually I was in denial that I even had sleep problems. I kept waking up every night about 3:00-3:30am. Almost like an alarm clock, Sometimes falling back asleep and sometimes not. However from my FIRST visit I now sleep ALL night and awake refreshed! 2/ INNER BLISS - you don't have to hum The Lord's Prayer or chant 1000 mantras to be calm without stress or anxiety. Just visit DrZhu! 3/ LEG ACHES ZAP GONE - I was getting leg aches mostly at night. I thought I was stuck with them. I reduced my caffeine intake and increased water and it improved but did not completely go away until my visits with Dr Zhu By 2nd/3rd/4th visits 4/ ALLERGIES VANISHED! Arrived to the office for my weekly appointment with itchy watery eyes and sneezing due to what I thought was "normal" springtime allergy condition since I was 8 years old. Dr Zhu treated me once and my allergies disappeared! I took allergy shots with an allergist for 6 years without success and Dr Zhu treated me once! 5/ ENERGY - don't need all coffee and sugar to wake up. Tiredness POOF gone! 6/ LAUGHTER - feeling a little more "water off-a-ducks-back" and less intense. With immediate family practicing western medicine you may think I am an unlikely person to try acupuncture. US Western Medicine is 100-125 years old while Traditional Chinese Medicine is over 5 thousand years! Meeting Dr Zhu, I knew straight-away she would be able to help me. I just didn't realize the profound changes I would have with areas I thought I was stuck with. I also had a question between sessions and Dr Zhu spoke with me. She is very open to try to help you and answer your questions the best she can. BTW: I love the convenience of her lovely office in Saratoga. It's right off H85 and Saratoga Avenue. She is at this office Monday Wednesday Thursday and Saturday. Her online self booking appointment is very convenient. Through talking with her and the treatment I feel like I gained a better understanding of how I hold stress in my body. While receiving the treatment I had a memory of my father from childhood and a way that he held his body when he was concentrating that my sister and I used to laugh about. I realized, in that moment that I had the exact same stress holding patterns as my father. I think that after this treatment I have had better access to noticing when these neuro pathways are activated and being able to "hit the reset button " which usually involves slowing down and taking some deep breaths. Shanti has an online class called vagas nerve deep dive that I have started that is amazing so far. This class includes exercises that give you access to the parasympathetic nervous system. Michael prescribed some Chinese herbs. after a month of taking them my bloodwork is finally revealing signs of remission allowing me to wean off of other medication.
