She retired a few months ago and while I miss her hands and conversations deeply, I feel nothing but gratitude for the time we shared. Her technique and intuition are unmatched. She had a way of finding and releasing every knot in my body within a single session, whether it was an hour or an hour and a half. But it wasn't just physical healing, being in her presence brought a sense of emotional and spiritual ease too. I'm also thankful that, whether consciously or not, Micaela gently guided me toward other healers in her circle who have helped me continue this ongoing journey of self care, toward healing and completeness. Gracias, querida Mica, por todo lo que has hecho por mí y por mi familia. Wishing you so much joy in this next chapter, you deserve it all.

Anyway, I get intense knots just inside my shoulder blades and on a random Wednesday I couldn't take the pain. I yelped a nearby masseuse and Micaela's name popped up. I gave her a call and told her I'd be there in 10. She told me that she'd wait for me. Unfortunately, it took me 10 min to leave my office and I arrived 10 min late. Embarrassing. Thankfully she was totally cool about it. Right away she felt out my knots and started to work'em-out. I'm hooked and will definitely repeat.

I don't enjoy my time (so good it hurts) with her but know the end results will payoff. This is a no frills deep tissue massage experience. Ross (Rosalyn) works for herself and by herself so she manages all the bookings via text so allow some time for responses. As for commentary on her candor, if it's not for you, then it isn't. Grow some thicker skin. She's frank but not disrespectful. Her talent, pricing, and results make it worthwhile for many of us, based on her regulars. Her space is a bit dated but clean, dark, and comfortable. As someone mentioned, it's no Burke Williams so manage your expectations here. Cash preferred and considering she keeps her prices reasonable-it would behoove you to return the hard work with a nice tip. She offers 1 hr, 1.5 hr, and 2 hr sessions. If you're new, I'd recommend the 1 hr to start with and maintain with the 1.5 hr sessions to make the effort worthwhile.

The pressure was consistently excessive despite my repeated requests to ease up. Even after specifically asking them to avoid my lower back. They continued to target it causing sharp pain. The technique relied entirely on harsh use of elbows and forearms rather than hands making the entire session an uncomfortable and physically taxing ordeal. The experience turned from bad to worse at the front desk. I was already feeling dizzy and drained so I was trying to leave quickly. The staff stopped me to demand a tip, even though I had already prepared 20% in cash. After I handed it over, there was no "thank you" and no professional acknowledgment. Instead, I was met with a prolonged silent stare that felt completely hostile and awkward. I went in for therapeutic care and was met with physical pain and unprofessional rude behavior. I will absolutely not be returning.

I pointed to the service I wanted, and he brought me back right away. I got the 60-minute full-body massage, which was only $65! I paid at the front before my massage. I was put into a private room and was told to change out of my clothes. I went onto the bed under a sheet, and they started the massage right away. I was a little hesitant, but the man was very nice and polite, asking if the pressure was okay and if I was doing okay throughout the massage. He really put pressure on getting my knots out. It really hurt in a good way. He went over tight areas multiple times and somehow always knew when to stop when it was getting a bit too painful. (You can always ask him to go softer, but my neck really hurt and I could feel the knots as he was working on it, so I just took it like a champ). If you're looking to be pampered like you're in a Beverly Hills-style spa, this is not it. But if you're feeling tired from a rough time at work, like I was, and need to get rid of some body tension and relax at a lower price, this is perfect. I did note that the bed had a little bit of an older smell (reminded me of my grandpa), but I did not mind. At the end of my massage, I came out to the front, and he gave me his business card with his name on it. Andy was very skilled and professional. Def recommend!

Zero wait. Paid $45 up front, was lead to a private room, instructed to remove my clothes, and left to prepare before the therapist arrived. I didn't expect that (thought I'd be in the group room), but proceeded to undress, crossing fingers I would be assigned a female massage therapist, as I wasn't quite asked about gender preference. Lying face down, another gentleman entered the room, and began tending to my knots. I kinda panicked in my mind at first but gave it some time. Luckily, he was very skilled, seemingly dedicating every ounce of energy he had in breaking through all these bricks in my back. I was amazed he could make half an hour feel complete in the way that is experienced in a full hour massage. He checked in periodically, asking if the pressure was ok. I said yes -- though it actually hurt like hell -- because I really needed a deep, deep tissue massage. Whew, progress was made. He later met me at the front door, asking if I was okay. I thanked him, tipped $15 cash, and learned his name: ANDY. The name of my late grandfather who I've been seeing in my dreams recently... wild, right?! Anyway, many foot spas are hit and miss. The use of her forearms and elbows was effective, and she even found and focused on the knots in my back. Service involved minimal communication, with limited english spoken, both at the front desk and during my treatment. I've been needing a deep tissue massage and after doing some research for the San Jose area, I came across Dai Nam Massage. After so many amazing reviews recommending William specifically for deep tissue, I was convinced to book an appointment. I scheduled a 90 minute session because the lord knows a 60 minute massage will not cut it when I need real body work. William is very knowledgeable and detail oriented with body work. I explained I had some injuries especially around the knee and hamstring area and he was very careful around it, but still provided the relief I needed. He also recommended I do some homework at home to provide tension release and blood flow as well, which is greatly appreciated. I made sure to explain that I am very tense due to weightlifting and that I need a firm deep tissue and he delivered. He got into areas that I didn't know needed tension release and is hands down the best deep tissue masseuse in the Bay Area. The other person that is comparable is a long drive away in South Lake Tahoe. William is great at what he does and is a healer. I highly recommend this place and ask for William if you're looking for a deep tissue!
