We bought one each of the breakfast specials, eggs & bacon, and a pankcake breakfast. You have to have a club card or it will cost you more. We had great service and the food was really good. We will go again for breakfast.

The breakfast special is back! This is best deal in town and everything was delicious. The service was good and the cafe was clean.

Prospect Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Overall: A good deal for breakfast. The extended review... Food: Omelette - 3.5/5 - I think the best part of this was the portion size and the price. The food was pretty good and comparable to most diners. It also came with a side as well which was nice given the price. Service: 5/5 - The server was super nice and accommodating. Granted we were the first one in the restaurant at 7am...it was nice to waited on by someone that was chipper. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - Located inside the casino it wasn't too smokey which was nice. It was a very spacious restaurant with ample seating.

I've eaten here a couple of times. It's been a while though, so this latest visit revealed many changes to their layout. The dining room had been remodeled and there was apparently a breakfast buffet on Saturday when we went. The buffet had a made-to-order omelet station that appeared to be popular. I didn't try the buffet but rather ordered from the menu. I chose the build your own omelet which came with hashbrowns and toast of your choice. I also got hot tea for my beverage. The omelet included fresh mushrooms and tomato as I requested. The hashbrowns were cooked well and not too crunchy. The sourdough toast was dry as ordered and had good flavor. This is one of the better cafe options in town if you want to grab a sitdown meal at a reasonable price.

Good service and good food. Nostalgic ambience. Good French toast and grilled cheese.

Blackened prime rib...dont get it. It's not very good.

I don't recall ever having a worse meal. The service was good and they have a mural.

Just stopped by on the way to Twin because we were sooooo hungry. It's inside the truck stop but…read moreit's separate and had a simple, clean cafe like atmosphere. Nice and quick service, and food was delivered quick! Surprisingly the shrimp and cod dinners were delicious! Got the shrimp basket appetizer with fries for my meal and ate every bit of it. Husband had cod and sautéed shrimp, plus grilled green beans which were SO good that I wished I'd ordered some too! The only thing that wasn't great was the mashed potatoes, they were more like cafeteria or school lunch. Other than that, if you're looking for a decent place to eat in Wells, I'd definitely go with this place.

Being about 1 1/2 hours away, I would normally stay at a Motel 6 here. My favorite restaurant was The Iron Skillet. So tonight I decided to stop by and try this restaurant. I ordered the sirloin steak with mushrooms and onions, broccoli cheese soup, and a salad. The server was very nice but had a lot of tables to serve as she was alone. The steak was so tender that I was able to cut it with a butter knife. The soup was excellent, the salad was fresh and crisp with cheese on top, and small tomatoes. It was one of the best meals that I've had in a long time. Everyone was enjoying their meals because I kept hearing remarks of "This is excellent" and "This is really great" from other tables. I also tried their apple ice cream dessert which was really, really fantastic! The ambience was for families and those who wanted to be alone as there were tables, booths, and a counter. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained. I also want to mention the Chef who was preparing everyone's meals did a really phenominable job! If you're by Wells NV off of the I-80, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant!

Plenty of parking, easy to find just past the NV casinos in Utah and busy at lunch time. I really enjoyed the food here. It really is where the locals go. We heard Spanish speakers plus cops, firemen and animal control officers. Upon entry you are greeted. You must wait to be seated. We received complimentary chips and salsa (very authentic), we were offered drinks and given the menus. So much to choose from. We settled on the Poncho Special plus cheese enchiladas. They both came with rice and beans. The Ponchos special had such flavorful meat and the enchiladas were so cheesy. Both not easily forgotten. The beans and rice seemed to be from scratch and each plate had a bit of lettuce and chopped tomatoes. Two rules. You need to wait to be seated and you must pay in cash. If you are stopping by the casinos, traveling down highway 80 or just in town give them a try.

The prices were great and the portions very generous. The horchata was gigantic (maybe 24oz) and the asada tacos were flavorful. Complimentary chips and salsa provided. Service was friendly and had a small family feel. The bathrooms were on the rough side, and out of toilet paper.

Unfortunately that's where our smiles ended. Service was poor, waitress took our order and we never saw her again. It was around 9:00 pm on a Tuesday night, the place was empty. Would have loved another drink or refill of water, never happened. Food was horrendous - my open face roast beef was shoe leather with instant potatoes and drowning in gravy most likely from a can. French dip, same show leather meat. Patty melt had barely any onions - I will say, the Tobasco fries were great (hard to screw up frozen fries). The casino was super nice compared to what we expected, so not a total loss - but pop over to McDonalds next door and skip this cafe.
