This business was selected by our property manager to correct a very poorly-done bathroom renovation by another local business that was causing water damage and persistent mold/mildew issues. Casa Utopia/Pro Rock Handyman did an excellent job and made the bathroom look beautiful while also addressing some serious functional issues. In total they replaced the lower portion of the shower stall floor and door, and bathroom floor. The whole job took about over a week but they were incredibly thorough, as the job included remediating water damage and unexpectedly replacing a fully corroded pipe. As renters we did not have say in the extent of the renovation or type of tile/material used, but they chose durable, quality, and great-looking tile within the parameters they were given by the property manager, which displays solid judgement and expertise. They also stand by their work, checking in with us to see if all is well and coming to address a minor cosmetic issue promptly. Mr. Denis and Mr. Renat came to my house and very effectively they finished all the tasks within one hour and left. First time working with Renat and Denis and I am super impressed. We used their services to change a single light fixture into 3 pendant lights in a different location in our dining room. They were responsive, asked good questions to put together an estimate, and their work is top notch. They focused on all of the details we requested on specific positions and lengths for the lights, down to the orientation of the light fixture being just right. Denis and Renat were excellent to work with and did a beautiful job repairing and installing tile in our shower. The tile in our shower is slate and was initially installed a couple decades ago, using older methods. It also doesn't have the typical epoxy grout used in bathrooms either. Four tiles were removed by an inexperienced plumber to replace a broken shower valve. We decided to repair the existing tile rather than rip it all out to put in something newer and wanted to use the opportunity to remove some decorative leaf tiles we didn't like, so the work involved removing more tiles before repair could happen. We decided to work with Denis because from the initial communications, it was clear that he knew his stuff. He asked clarifying questions and paid attention to detail, which showed in the work he did. He and Renat were professional when at our house and went out of their way to ensure their work in the bathroom didn't disrupt the rest of the house. They ended up having to reinstall the new shower valve so that it wouldn't move in the wall (it wasn't secured by the plumber who put it in) and placed lower in the wall to match our preferred location. Instead of just sealing the slate tiles they installed, they re-sealed all the tiles in the bathroom. They kept us informed every step of the way and left our shower (and bathroom) looking better than new. If we didn't tell you we had over ten large tiles removed and replaced from our shower, you would have no idea any work had been done--that's how seamless it ended up looking. We will absolutely work with them again in the future and recommend them to anyone needing their services. read more
