The quality of their work was excellent, and they took great care to keep everything clean and organized throughout the project. I highly recommend Target Painting to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality exterior house painting. I would definitely hire them again!

Unprofessional, careless, and combative…read more I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your painting needs. Working with this company was a stressful experience from start to finish. Poor Communication & Absent Management: Communication across the board--with both the owner, Ibsan, and his crew--was frustrating. I was asked for my color choices probably 10 times and Ibsan and his crew kept threatening extra charges for finishes that were explicitly included in their original quote. Messy Worksite & Property Damage: Throughout the entire project, the crew constantly left our property in disarray, scattering tools, paint cans, and trash across our front, back, and side yards. They also damaged our attic vents and refused to take responsibility, claiming the damage was pre-existing. The crew also never fully cleaned up--I still have tons of paint chips and paint drops everywhere. Complete Disregard for Property Protection: I specifically emphasized how important it was to properly block off the soffit vents over my garage, as I store a lot of items in it alongside a brand new vehicle. All they did was cover them with a thin layer of masking tape, which blew right off during pressure washing. Instead of stopping to fix it, Hugo, the foreman, kept right on power washing directly into the open vents and shrugged it off when I brought it to his attention. My car and everything stored in the garage were covered with dirty sludge which will take me me days to clean. Sloppy Workmanship & Cut Corners: While they did an excellent job on stucco patching and prep, basic surface prep like scraping and sanding elsewhere else was really inconsistent, leaving an uneven finish in several areas. Even on day 1, the crew wasn't even planning to use a commercial mold remover despite visible mold present. Hugo argued with me, as he did throughout the entire project; while Ibsan agreed to handle it, he simply returned with a small spray bottle of consumer-grade cleaner you can get at Safeway and they only bothered to treat my rain gutters. Gaslighting & Constant Pushback: Whenever I pointed out a clear mistake either in prep or painting, the crew always said, "it was like that, you just didn't notice it before" so I had to show them "before" photos proving otherwise and then they begrudgingly corrected the mistake. Getting basic issues addressed required pressing them repeatedly. Hugo tried to convince me that I should "just trust the professional painter" and spent three days arguing to leave an unmasked, un-prepped window frame they accidentally painted--an issue that ultimately took just 5 minutes to clean. Hugo said, "well it's worth trying." Ignoring Instructions & Insubordination: The most absurd moment of the entire job happened on our porch. While applying a specialized product Ibsan admitted they had never used before, Hugo and I discussed the plan earlier in the day, which called for a 4-hour dry time between coats per the label instructions. Yet just an hour after he applied it, he started applying a second coat anyway. When I caught this and directly asked him to stop, he completely ignored my instructions, feeding me some nonsense line about "letting the product talk to him"--clearly rushing to finish the job so they wouldn't have to return the next day as discussed. He refused to stop working on my own property and literally kept painting right in front of me until I had to call Ibsan to intervene. It was completely mind-boggling and if Ibsan hadn't answered, my next call was to the police. To cap it all off, after that major altercation with Hugo, Ibsan promised to call the next day to address what had happened, but clearly didn't care enough to do so. To be fair, the end result looks good as long as you don't get too close, but there were much cheaper bids that would have accomplished the same thing with a lot less stress. If you're not willing to constantly fight and push for what you want, avoid them entirely. Save yourself the headache and hire a team that respects you, your home, your contract, and basic professional standards.

The House Exterior: * Outstanding finish with clean lines and great prep work. * My house looks like brand new, and even my neighbors have been complimenting it! * Far superior quality compared to the other two painting companies I used in the past. The Deck Restoration: * Exceeded my expectations given the age and wear of the wood. While it wasn't perfect, the quality was still excellent overall. * Solid, high-quality repair work handled with great care, patience and pride. * the CREW LEADER in particular showed excellent workmanship throughout. He treated the project like a work of art as a landscape painter or architect would. He handled every repair with gentleness and dignity, always going the extra mile to make sure we were happy. His craftsmanship is absolutely outstanding. Pricing and Integrity: * Transparent quotes: Out of four quotes I gathered, Paint911's was the clearest and most complete. * Unique material setup: Their quote covered labor only. I needed to pay for the paint and wood separately using their contractor discount. This saved money and gave me total confidence I wasn't being overcharged. * Honest owner: Partway through, the owner gave a verbal quote for some unexpected extra repairs. Even though it took them longer than planned, he honored his original price without any up-charges. The crew is reliable, professional, and easy to work with. Between the owner's honesty and the crew's high craftsmanship, Paint911 is a company you can genuinely trust. Highly recommended!

He even let us use his contractor discount so we could afford higher-quality paint. A special shoutout to Ramiro, Roberto, Fernando, and the rest of the crew--they were reliable, courteous, always on time, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Their prep work was outstanding, and the overall paint job on the house, deck, and pergola turned out great. Jay stopped by daily to check on the progress, and when a fix was needed on the finish, he kept his word and had the crew return to make it right. We highly recommend them!

We were pleased with Cartwright Painters who made the exterior of our house beautiful once again…read more Cartwright was fast, reliable, responsive, and professional. Our project manager, Aaron Milne, quickly responded to our questions and concerns. His quote was complete in that he included details about all the repairs we requested of him: repair cracks in the stucco, stain and seal our front door, and paint our back deck. He explained to us the types of paints that were available from Sherwin-Williams, Cartwright's supplier. He priced the project competitively and when I called him to discuss his competitors' prices he made some adjustments. We obtained estimates from two other licensed, and three unlicensed, painting contractors. We spoke by phone with multiple references for two of Cartwright's competitors. Cartwright's references were as good as or better than the other companys' references. In addition, whereas Cartwright gave us a complete and final quote, their competitors' quotes all varied in price and completeness. For example, some competitors required us to buy the paint before the project was to begin whereas others would buy it if they were reimbursed before work commenced. In other cases, all other competitors incomplete quotes by not responding to our specific requests. Cartwright's quote was complete and businesslike. They have a net 30-day contract with their paint suppliers which means that they only asked us for a 10% down payment before they started work. The balance was due upon satisfactory completion of the project. We were pleased with the professionalism and friendliness of our painting crew, Aurelio and Ramiro. We are grateful to them for having taken time to show us three different paint schemes on our house. They painted three swathes of our trim and walls in the front and back of the house. This was determinant in our color selection. Our crew worked diligently throughout the five and a half days it took to complete the project. Moreover, they worked during the first week of July, 2024, the hottest this year. We often spoke with Aurelio about taking time for rest breaks. We agreed to earlier start times on several hot days. They always started work on the shadiest side before painting other parts of the house. Aurelio's work on our front door was most impressive because it was a singular challenge. He is a master painter. Aurelio and Ramiro sanded the wood until it was completely bare, and then they stained the doors over two days before adding a final polyurethane finish. The result was excellent. We are pleased with Cartwright Painters and we highly recommend them to you for your exterior painting project.

We got quotes from three firms total and Nstyle's was the lowest but they had the best reviews on Yelp so we decided to go with them, and those reviews proved true. We started with a small job to paint a bedroom and closet inside the house, which would have a white ceiling and dark walls. Fernando did it beautifully with "crispy" sharp lines where the two colors met and a smooth, flawless finish all around. When it came time to paint the exterior, Fernando as well as the rest of the NStyle crew did an awesome job with excellent attention to detail. They even worked weekends to be sure our job was finished before a new gutter install happened. Throughout the multi-step project, Nick, the owner, was easy to communicate with and took any feedback or requests we had in stride. At one point, the trim color was partway done but we realized it wasn't the right color ... even though Nick's team had already painted a swatch for us to approve; it just looked different in the afternoon sun. So I texted Nick about it, on Labor Day weekend, and he arranged to get a swatch of the new color painted as soon as Sherwin Williams opened and we were back on track (with no extra charges). The paint job looks gorgeous and I'm in love with my house again, thanks to NStyle. I'll have them back anytime I need some painting done; they're that good.
