Proof was a wonderful surprise for my husband and me. We stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The cocktail menu was fun and the drinks we had were amazing. We ordered some nachos. Every restaurant in the Tri cities serves nachos but these were extraordinary. I am not sure where they get their tortillas chips but they were so fresh and didn't have the heavy saltiness we have found elsewhere. The crema was tasty. This is a new direction for the Tri cities and hopefully will be here for years to come. read more

However, when we got there, they had our reservation but still said they wouldn't have room for at least an hour. The hostess was unapologetic and basically told us to deal with it. Food was high quality and real tasty. Customer service was outSTANDingly exceptional. Hostess Sarah went above and beyond by putting us at a quiet corner table on Saturday evening (May 12, 2018), which turned out to be too loud for us (I have a sound sensitivity due to a traumatic brain injury) despite my noise-canceling earbuds. She then allowed us to be served alone in the upstairs banquet room, which was unoccupied at the time. Server Pamela was continually attentive despite the stair climb and distance, and she readily accommodated my food allergy. Top notch service ethic that should be the benchmark. Great atmosphere, music a bit loud. Had a bit of a wait for the food. Got the margarita, it was super yummy. Wicks D's on tap. Wife got the Bbq wings and a side of fries. Wings were really good. Fries are weird, an odd texture, dry and tasted like potato chips. I got the Proof burger and a side salad. Burger was amazing, salad was just fancy lettuce and diced tomatoes. Have the burger!!! You can't go wrong! It was delicious, I ordered it no bun, and it was absolutely delicious. Oh by the way I ordered it with the side Caesar per the waiters recommendation! It was super on pointe. I am somewhat of a Caesar fiend, and this one is perfect, slight spice from the garlic, absolutely delicious. Great drinks too! The wait staff are very nice. We loved proof! The food was absolutely incredible, the atmosphere is unlike any place in the Tri Cities, and the service was great! This will definitely be our new favorite date night spot. Great ambiance! The decor is great and a lot of seats have a view of Columbia center Blvd. The bar is super small (5 seats) but they brought us drinks to the wait area while we waited for our table. The wait was only half as long as they told us it would be! The food was good, we really liked the crab cakes. The guacamole had already browned but still tasted fine. The only complaint is the mixed drinks were lacking. My margarita tasted a bit off. read more

Loved the service, drinks, and food. We came in on their first Saturday night. We waited an hour and a half for a table and an hour for food. Our server checked on us regularly and I was expecting a wait due the restaurants opening week and figuring out the kinks. When our food came, one of our friends had a bad food order. She originally wanted a Mahalo Burger, cooked medium, no bun or cheese. She got cheese and cooked medium rare instead. The server noticed it was wrong and asked to fix it which our friend declined since she was pretty hungry. The bar manager came over to apologize and made sure to comp her meal. Kudos to Proof for staying open and providing its yummy food during this messed up pandemic. I've ordered food from a few of my local favorites the last couple weeks, and part of it could be the delivery service, but the food I got from Proof was the closest to in-restaurant quality. French fries don't travel well, especially when they sit for a while, but the fries arrived in good shape, and the burger was excellent as always. Wish you were doing the little deep fried donut deserts but they probably travel less well than French fries. Hope you are able to stick this out! read more

Very watered down drinks. Beer and wine would be the way to go. The food was mediocre and the ranch dressing as a dip for the fries was also watered down. (Weird!) Hope these are just kinks that will get worked out in time. Until then, probably won't be back. read more

My husband and I went out for date night and chose to eat at Proof before we went to a comedy show. We weren't disappointed! Upon arrival we were greeted by the hostess with a smile and were seated within two minutes. Both my husband and I ordered drinks from a upbeat, hard working bartender. Then ordered dinner. I ordered the salmon after the recommendation from the bartender and my husband ordered the fish and chips. Both plates were DELICIOUS! The price was fair as well. Our bill was $68 for a total of three drinks and two dinners. Not too shabby for the quality of food we received. We will definitely be back! read more

Nice industrial-like-ambiance. Our lunch was good to very good. I had the Portobello Hamburger and home cut French fries (good). My wife had the Mango & Avocado Prawn Salad (very good). Stupid wine by the glass prices for 95% of the wines. Such as: ($14.00 - Thurston Wolf Syrah), ($10.00-Hedges Cabernet Sauvignon), ($11.00-Charles & Charles Riesling), ($12.00-Barnard Griffin Rose'), ($12.00-Kestrel Pinot Gris). I've been here a few times and it was great, but it always seems like the one bad time you go to a place and get bad service is the one that you remember. I went to lunch to meet a friend and we got there at 12:10. We both ordered fish and chips (obviously fried). It took them 35minutes to get us our food and by the time they were platting it I had to start driving back to work. I asked another server, (because ours we had only seen twice on the floor in 35 mins) if she could get my food in a to-go box. Then it took them another 10 minutes to bring it out. They discounted our food by 25% but when I got back to work the fish I had ordered was soggy and they put it on top of the fries so my fries were also soggy. They gave me tartar but in one of those little cups and only filled it a quarter of the way up. We should have had a full refund. It sucks, but from this one bad visit I don't know if I'll be returning. read more

We tried this spot, but really didn't know anything about it. First impression upon arrival, "where is it?" Signage is poor to terrible, we took the stairs which I needed the workout, but once we reached the 3rd floor we were not sure if we had reach the correct floor because no one greeted us and others were taking the next flight of stairs upward. FYI, the restaurant is on the 3rd floor! Slight disclaimer, we were meeting an old friend to catch up and it was Friday evening. The place was loud, and I mean really loud so I would emphasize "PUB"! After a slight wait we were seated, but had to be moved because our table was broken...weird that no one had noticed this previously. Our server was very nice and efficient, I chalked our long wait for food and drinks to the crushing rush of people on a Friday night. My wife and our friend had a couple of hamburgers and fries. They both raved about the quality and preparation , for me, I had the clams. Although the portion was rather skimpy, I was struck by the tower of toast. The quality and flavor was good, but this should have been listed as an appetizer. After the initial buzz, the success of this place will depend upon the local (20-30 crowd) following. I don't see us returning, but I wish them well. read more

First the good: The view is wonderful! Tri-Cities isn't known for many 3-story buildings so eating up high is a different experience for our area. When the weather warms up, the outdoor deck will be great. The service was good. Our server was attentive and checked back in with us. The burger patty appeared to be hand-pressed and the food, for the most part, tasted fresh. The not so good: There were no signs outside on the outer doors and no sign in the lobby directing customers to the third floor. Nothing on the elevator or pointing up the stairs. For customers who didn't know where they were going, it would be confusing. We ordered two burgers. Neither patty was seasoned...at all! We couldn't taste any salt, pepper, garlic, etc. All we tasted was bland ground beef. The sauce on top did sort of mask the tasteless patty, but not well enough. There was no salt or pepper on the table for us to add a bit of seasoning to the patty either. The space has a weird layout. 3 or 4 large booths take up way too much space. The rest of the tables are 2 or 4 seaters with a wall of counter height seating. Overall, the space feels cramped. Our table was so close to our neighbors we felt like we were eating with them. Not a good place for a private conversation. Definitely not a place for a big group! We really wanted to like this place more. We are going give it one more shot in a couple months. Hopefully, some things will have changed a bit. read more

adorable layout for a restaurant/bar. last night was my first time dining somewhere on a third floor and it really adds to the atmosphere, whether you're indoors or not. fiancé and i didn't get to enjoy the patio for whatever reason as we had to wait roughly 15min for a table but the waiting area outside the elevator was super minimal & open, didn't feel much like a lobby at all. service was quick & friendly, although we did forget to order an appetizer and our waitress didn't come back until our food was done. by then though we had already decided we were coming back & would get one next time. food is moderately pricey but you absolutely get a portion size worth the cost. fiancé got what might be the tallest chicken sandwich i've ever seen along with a basket of fries & i got the ahi poke salad. the plating they use is cute, we both ended up pointing it out to one another & complimenting it. chicken was good from what i heard & the fries were seasoned well, not plain but not overwhelming. something to note is that the ahi poke does have an element of spice somewhere in there (it may have been the dressing) but as someone with a remarkably low spice tolerance i was still able to taste & enjoy the flavors of the dish. we'll be back in a few weeks :) read more

Good, stiff drinks, about $10+ for most and you can order while waiting in the lobby. Probably the best part of the evening. Fresh, house-cut fries. The grass fed beef burger was good but not cooked how requested. They forgot our house-made pickles, but provided them upon request. The hostess seated another party of 2 before us despite our reminder that she'd told us to hold on and forgot to take our name. Ultimately, she was very apologetic and sweet when she realized. Would go back with a group for a fun atmosphere for drinks. If you're going on a date, just make sure you're not sitting at the wobbly, lone, corner table for 2 facing Lowe's. Had we sat elsewhere I think it might have been more enjoyable too. It seems they could have better utilized that space for another booth or two. As well as more lobby seating. read more

I am disappointed to change my review because I've been to Proof several times since it opened and the experience has been good. However, I think honest reviews are helpful for the ownership so this one is about our experience this past Tuesday evening. My husband and I came for dinner and were seated right away. After sitting down it took about 15 minutes for the actual waitress to come and ask for our drink order. We put in our food order during that interaction as well since we'd had ample time to decide. It was another 35 minutes before our drinks came out. It was another 40-50 minutes after that until we got our food. Our waitress was pleasant enough but at no point explained or apologized for the wait. The food was good, my husband loves the burgers there, and like I said, we generally really enjoy Proof, so without the insane wait times we would have been satisfied. However... this review is really on behalf of the couple I was sitting directly across from that night. When we were seated they had already been there long enough to have a glass of wine. I noticed about 45 minutes into our wait that they had still yet to receive any food, and I could tell they were frustrated and looking up at the bar/kitchen waiting. I pointed it out to my husband several times. I also noticed that our shared waitress was not acknowledging them whatsoever. We actually got our dinner a good 20 minutes before they did and I almost felt guilty for it. You could tell their night had been ruined and it was hard to watch. They must have been there at least 2 hours and I sincerely hope part of their bill was taken off if not all of it. It may be awhile before we decide to go in again, hopefully Tuesday night was a fluke. read more

I don't think they're quite ready to be open yet. The servers don't know how to pronounce the names of the food (honestly google it). The first thing they tell us is that the entrees are not available now. If that's your policy print a lunch menu. We weren't told it would take 45 minutes for our lunch to come out, our server vanished and no other employees were willing to make eye contact. When lunch arrived, we were already pretty grumpy. In my mango shrimp salad, the shrimp were sautéed in pesto with the tails left on, so I was obliged to create a mess on both my hand and the table, as I wasn't given a plate for shells. The salad was tasteless, Mango wasn't ripe, the dressing tasted like water. No salt or pepper was offered or present. If you don't taste and season before you serve, those need to be available. If you don't have ripe mango, don't put it on your menu. My dad said he prefers the Hawaiian burger from Red Robin. My mother said the Ruben was ok, just needed mustard, which of course was not present. Despite our clear dissatisfaction the server did not offer any sort of rectification. At least find out why we barely touched the food! Definitely wasn't what I expected after seeing the other reviews! We went for my friends 40th and I'm glad we did! It was so good. The atmosphere and the vibe was definitely not like your mainstream/chain like you mostly find in the TCs. We LOVED our waitress Jackie!!! She was fabulous and was a pleasure to have as our server I will be requesting her when I go back. I had their salmon dish that was placed over some vegetables and the most delicious rice ever. It was so, so good! My friend had there Killer Mac n cheese and it was okay for me. My friend really liked it but she let me try it and for me the smokey cheese flavor was just not hitting all the right taste buds. OH! Forgot to say we started with a side of their truffle fries. It's not listed as a starter it's under their sides on the menu but those were served with a few dips and were also really good! We had a few drinks she had some peach lemonade drink they were testing out and I had a neat glass of Basil Hayden and a red beer (forgot the name of it) but was told by the waitress it was comparable to Mack n Jack and she was spot on. Overall Proof is a place a would recommend for any occasion. It was classy but not in a snooty way. Very nice job! I will be going back that's for sure. read more
