Went here for appetizers, food was good. Our server was amazing. For my first visit though can't say id go back because of the hostess. This review is solely off cystomer service. We got there and it was obviously busy and we had two people. While we were there my nephew wanted to come to join us, we asked before he got there if it was ok and was told they couldn't promise they could get a seat. That was completely fine, we could see they were busy. My nephew came and our server offered to grab a chair and the hostess went into panic mode. Came to our table and kept saying we can't give you a chair. We said ok and asked for boxes to go. She came back again and very rudely said we can't fit him in, I have to many people ahead of you. At this point she was irritating and not tactful at all. We responded we didnt ask for a chair. We boxes up our food and left. For your front person who is dealing with the people to lose her cool and be so snarky over something we didnt even ask for is off putting. We started getting takeout early on during the pandemic and Proof had done a great job and so we went there many times. Last week we tried and they said the wait was several hours, so we went to a different local business. I called early tonight (430pm) hoping to beat the dinner rush and they said they weren't doing takeout because they were too busy with indoor customers .... we are in lockdown.... Went here last minute looking for a place for drinks and watch a sports game. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They changed tv to game requested. Since it was Cinco de Mayo, started with appetizer of a guacamole, chips and margaritas. Amazing house made guacamole! One of the best I've ever had! We enjoyed our lunch at Proof the other day. Food was excellent, service was great, enjoyable atmosphere, and we felt that we got a good value for the price. They did a good job tweaking standard fare to make it more interesting and tasty, I mean I agree you can call it a Gastropub. I asked for the Cubano sandwich without the bread and they made it for me and it was delicious with a nice kick! My daughter said the Proof burger was excellent and my husband loved his wedge salad. One suggestion for the management I have, in order to cater to the various food intolerances/allergies/preferences, is to add gluten free bread and to add symbols for vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and state which items can accommodate those things. read more

I'm from Seattle and my kids live in Richland so they brought me here Saturday night before Mother's Day. This place has a Seattle feel, the food was good, the service was ok not great. The place wasn't full when we got there at 5:00 but by 6:30 when we left there was people waiting. I will say the guacamole was tasty. read more

Pros: This place has great food. I not only was served really amazing "Killer Mac" (with chicken), but I also got a burger Togo for lunch tomorrow. My beer was great (which they usually are anywhere). I sat at the bar and received very good and fast service. The view is good as it is on the third and top story of the building. 10/10 would come here again. Cons: I witnessed through the little windows in the doors to the kitchen, a waitress eating (finger food) and drinking what I assume was her dinner or a snack, then walk right back out resuming her duties without washing her hands. It's not the biggest deal to me but it is why I gave 4/5 stars instead of the full 5. Sorry if that's nitpicking, I just have worked in foodservice and it's an easy thing to wash your hands. Today was the best thing I've had at Proof. I can't complain about anything I've ever had here, but today was particularly good. I had the Brine picked fried chicken. I missed the part that it is a sandwich. There were so many awesome flavors working together. I went to cut it in half and the egg yolks broke all over it. The bun looked perfect. I was super excited to try Proof since I've seen many posts on Instagram and Etc., regarding their amazing drinks, and food! Me and my S/O visited Saturday 9/5/20 and we were not disappointed by the food and beverages! When we first Arrived all of the hosts and servers seemed to be mingling a little too long at the bar. The service at the host stand was the only negative thing throughout my dining experience. The host was very rude and short and did not seem welcoming when we arrived, as we were super excited and this was a damper to the vibe of the restaurant. Our server was excellent and even took some photos for us in the breezeway! Overall the food and (server) were excellent. I probably won't go out of my way to return but would want to try other dishes! read more

I love this place when we are in from out of town. Most of our trip is planned around where we will be eating for dinner and this place is a must. There isn't a lot of eating area but it's a great gastro pub vibe. The killer Mac n cheese is awesome but the Fire Cracker Salmon is my fav. I can't think of another restaurant in the Tri-cities which is on the third floor, so I like the outside seating area and the elevated view of the city. We came for lunch, and I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich. Buffalo sauce was on the spicier side compared to others, I'd compare it to Wingstreet medium. Toppings were good, but there was very little aioli - like a teaspoon each on the top in the middle of and bottom bun, not even spread. The fried chicken was thigh meat, which is unusual as it's usually breast. The thick slices of bacon were perfect, and overall it was a decent sandwich. My wife got the pesto chicken sandwich - it had good flavor, but the chicken chunks were rather large and made it difficult to eat (and the bulk was on one half). Fries are freshly cut which is always great, but they could have been cooked longer. My wife thought they were perfect, but I like my fries crispy. There were other things on the menu that looked good, so we'll come back again. read more

I ate here on my first full day in the Tri Cities. I started outside, but had to run inside when meat bees got too interested in my sandwich. I had a side caesar salad with one of their specialty sandwiches with pesto and brie--I think. It wasn't a very memorable sandwich. It was just too sweet and blah, and needed acidity desperately.
