    Beef empanada

I only came here because of the pan con bistec going viral on IG as the Best one in all of Miami. Needless to say it wasn't but it was good I wouldn't say the best. The food was decent and the staff were very inviting. I had the grilled chicken meal, one beef empanada, batido de trigo and one pan con bistec. These are all pretty much staple dishes growing up in Miami. Again, all were good just not the best. They do have potential to take it up a notch, but I respect where they're at and what they're trying to provide to the local community which is authentic Cuban food.

I had been craving Pan Con Bistec for a few weeks now and this restaurant popped up on my Instagram. So why not? My sandwich was good, but I have definitely had better. The steak was over seasoned to my liking. My husband ordered the Tilapia he said was good, but we were a bit confused when the food arrived in a to go box even though we were dining in. It seems that is the way they serve the food. The service was good, and I must say that the restaurant was clean.

Believe the hype! Pronto Cafe at 86 W 29th Street in Hialeah is worth the Waze GPSing for us non-Hialeahians to get there. We ordered the Pan Con Bistec of course and we're not disappointed. The steak was tender, well seasoned with a citrusy marinade, with fresh fried potato sticks, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Perfectly pressed too so that the Cuban bread with toasted and crunchy. We also lucked out in spotting the jar of baseball sized Merenguitos (meringues to our gringo pals) that were a crispy sweet treat. The gals behind the counter were attentive and super sweet. This unassuming, neat little Cuban counter style joint has nothing to envy their over priced competitors. I personally tried the Pan Con Bistec at Sanguich on Calle Ocho and Pronto's is ten times better. Cheaper, bigger servings and freshly delicious. It's a win all the way around.

Its really the real deal. I haven't had a steak sandwich in a while. PRONTO was able to deliver results

The pan con bistec - comes with mayo, onions, lettuce, tomato and papitas. So delicious! 10/10

Run, don't walk to Pronto Cafe! Lately I've noticed a a lot of the traditional pan con bistec and pan con lechón spots haven't been as good as they used to. Pronto Cafe saved us and graced us with delicious Cuban staples. We had the pan con bistec and pan con lechón. They are known for the best pan con bistec in Hialeah and honestly, as someone who has probably tried the majority of them, they really are the best. The steak is so soft and breaks off when you bite into it (we've all experienced a steak that's so hard you can't bite through!). It is seasoned to perfection and you taste it with every bite. The bread is also so soft on the inside and the perfect amount of crunch/toast on the outside. The pan con lechón is also absolutely delicious. The seasoning, the softness of the pork, and the freshness are phenomenal. My sister said they should also name the pan con lechón as best in Hialeah and I agree! I wish I would've taken more photos (and better than the one I took) but I was too excited to start eating when I saw and smelled them lol! As a Cuban girly who needs her sandwich fixes pretty often, I know I'll be going to Pronto from now on!

Listen up. If you are expecting a restaurant or a waitress - this is not the place for you. This is a dive - a true Hialeah experience. Clean establishment with hardworking people, nice clean bathrooms, great a/c nice, nice ladies working behind the counter- nonstop, and, still with a good attitude. Parking is limited because it's in a shopping strip. Be patient. Order your food at the register- pay, give your name and any one of the ladies will bring it to your table. The place is small, 6 tables of 4 and one long table for 8. This place serves up good cuban comfort food- look up their menu online. Pan con bistec is what they are known for. It was good enough to have again but not the best I've had. Also tried the plain chicken wings- again, good and crispy but no big deal. Next time, I will order the cuban pizza- I have never tried a Cuban pizza. Kudos to you Pronto- hasta pronto!

I'm really picky about pan con bistec, usually the bread is too hard or the steak is too tough to bite through. But this spot nailed it. Honestly one of the best I've ever had, and of course it's in Hialeah! Only $9.99, and it was so good I grabbed one to go. The ladies working there were super nice too. 10/10

I finally stopped by to try the pan con bistec and judge for myself what the rave is all about. While I waited I got to speak with the owner, super nice guy. The place was clean and, from what I saw, the staff were very nice to every customer that walked in. The place doesn't have much ventilation so just be prepared for your clothes to smell like food. But what about the pan con bistec? Believe the hype people, it was phenomenal! All I know I'll be coming back for more. The fries were really good too, crispy and delicious. You'll be seeing more of me over here :)

Pan con Bistec. The bread and meat were super soft and delicious .

I've been after a good pan con bistec for a while and this place hands down is at the top of the list. Drove from Broward but well worth it!!! Friendly service, good portion, and not expensive. This will be my go to place when in the mood for a pan con bistec!! Highly recommend it!!!!

    Pan Con Bistec

The Best Pan con Bistec in Hialeah for a fact! The bread is crunchy but not hard, the pickled unions are savory but not overpowering, the papitas are made in-house, the steak is juicy and flavorful. It's a MUST have if you are in Hialeah stop by! You won't be disappointed.

The minute I step in this place I knew it would be good. There was nothing but smiles on everyone's face when I walked in. Greeted by the owner with a hand shake and attended me quickly. Very helpful staff and the ambiance was relaxing. NOW, this food was amazing!!!! The steak sandwich was so fresh and all the flavors work so well together. Definitely going back and if you are in the area you should go too.

I never leave reviews... I came across this spot last week on my TikTok, I happened to be in the area for work today... I stopped in, and boy am I glad I did. This pan con bistec is phenomenal, best I've ever had! This spot is worth the hype! Service was great, it took a little time as it should and I think the owner was there. There were some customers waiting and I think the owner realized they were waiting a little longer than usual, and he came out greeted them and apologized for the wait. This spot is definitely worth it and be patient I think they are starting to get really busy bc of social media.. it's worth it and I think it was pretty quick service in my opinion. You order at the counter and either sit at a table to eat or take it to go. Seems like as small business and they are pouring the love into their food. 10 out of 10!

We rotate locations to keep it fair, and last month brought us to Doral. We started at a cigar shop, wandered into Sports Grill Doral... and never left. At first glance, it feels like a classic sports bar. But spend a little time there and you realize it's operating on a different level. The food is outstanding, the beer selection is strong (especially if you're into IPAs), every major game is covered across wall-to-wall screens, and they even have a DJ on certain nights. What really sets it apart is the service. The manager, Manny, and his team created an experience that felt intentional, not transactional. When they saw we wanted to play dominoes, they didn't hesitate. They set us up with a proper table on the terrace so we could enjoy cigars, order cocktails, and settle in for the night without feeling rushed. That level of awareness and flexibility is rare. If you're in the Doral area and want a place that delivers on food, drinks, atmosphere, and experience, this is it. Whether you're catching a game or running a few rounds of dominoes, this spot earns a return visit.

Second the only table available was under the tv so we couldn't see and there was a whole other section "closed" where they were not seating people until we had to ask as few time, so not good on service and organization. When we could finally seat at a table to enjoy the game things improved a little, servers were friendly but you can feel the place is not organized, we really didnt even know who was really serving us, we kept asking to whoever walked by for things. The food took long and honestly food was ok nothing impressive, I would rather eat at any other sport bar nearby or even a franchise for burgers or chicken. The only thing I really liked was the margarita, perfectly made and very delicious (not made with mix but the real thing!) so cheers for that!

It was 2:00 pm on 05/14/2026. The sandwiches were delivered to us by the waiter, who was also the host at the door. The brisket was chopped up into little squares, cold and tasteless. The buns were cold as if they were just pulled out of the bag from inside the cooler. The onion strings were greasy and the fries were undercooked. The only redeeming thing on the plate was the single slice of tomato and the pickled onions. As well, the waiter overcharged us for the sandwiches. At $19.99 per sandwich, I would definitely expect something that would have blown my mind. These did not. Even if we were billed at the $15.79 lunch rate, I would have expected something better than what we received. The place was fairly empty (only a handful of tables occupied), but it was clean. I'm just extremely disappointed in the whole visit. I am sure someone from the store or corporate will contact me, but it will take a lot of convincing to return after such a bad experience.
