First time in this sandwich shop, it was a last minute decision and do not regret, It is a very small shop but service is amazing as the person at the counter went above to accommodate my request and was very friendly at all times with a smile. I can not begin to express how delicious this Colombian sandwich joint is. I've been coming here since I was a kid with my parents and always ordered the same thing, the special sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce. Specially when you eat there because they give you extra sauce which is fantastic. I also love their sandwiches. Almost every single one is delish. Love how toasty the bread is on the sandwiches. Recently stopped here while making sales calls in the area. Random surprise I found through Yelp. Located in a strip mall, it was easy to find and parking was no issue. When we arrived, there was no body there and it seemed like the owner manned this by himself. Dam, he's a good cook. Nothing beats authentic Cuban food. I'm Colombia and I have been looking for a Colombian Sandwich Cubano since I came in to this country (8 years ago). Their logo is the legit logo from the colombian food chain, so I was soooooo excited when I saw it that I almost crashed. The day finally arrived after waiting a couple of months before trying it since I do not live in Hialeah. My experience with the staff was not the ideal, I pre ordered online via EAT24 so that I just had to pick up the food and leave. Money was taken out of my account when I got there, one of their staff members said they no longer work with EAT24 and that the order did not went through, so I went ahead and called EAT24 to get a refund and then made a new order at the restaurant and paid again, when EAT24 called the restaurant to verify that they did not had my order their staff told them I had already picked up the order WTH (?) to make the long story short it was a back and forth from their staff didnt know what they were doing until the owner got there and stated the order did go through on EAT24 and it was ready (after waiting 40 minutes). As for the food, let em clarify again I am aware what a sandwich cubano is, and where it comes from (obviously Cubans in Key West) however they have the Colombian logo and I was expecting what I was use to back in my country, and that was not what it was delivered. Their food lack on flavors french fries where terrible as well as sandwiches not even the garlic sauce made an impression on me. I have not tried the rest of their food, again us colombians are use to a certain type of fast food which in all my years here only one restaurant has delivered that particular flavor. I would not given them a chance of even tasting their hot dogs or anything due to they unprofessionalism . read more

I've had the Hawaiian sandwich which consists of pineapple, ham, mozarella cheese on soft cuban-style bread all pressed nicely to a melt. You're given little containers of garlic butter and if you ask for it, you're given a large squeeze bottle of pineapple jelly/marmalade to put on your sandwich. If you like hawaiian pizza you're gonna love this sandwich. Put simply - it's delicious. The service is friendly and attentive -even though you order at the counter. They also sell Colombian style hamburgers (hamburguesas Colombianas) and hot-dogs (perros). Plastic chairs, tables and a tv tuned to a Spanish channel make up the ambiance of this place. I pull up to the little shop and I ask the lady at the counter "Steak Sandwich?" she laughs and tells me it was a Colombian restaurant, silly me thinking this was a Cuban place duh? I make the best of it and check out the menu, they had a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, hotdogs and 'maiz desgranado'. I ordered the chicken sandwich with lettuce, cheese and pineapple. I'm currently craving it but moved away. The sandwich hawaiano is the best sandwich hands down. The sweetness of the pineapple and the bread mixed with the savory flavor of the garlic sauce and cheese make a heavenly combination that you will only find here. I suggest you pair the sandwich with a postobon soda. My favorite is the apple one but they are all great. You can follow that by one of their epic little fruit ice cream bars. It's a Colombian place by the way. Colombia has a mi sandwich Cubano franchise which they actually brought out to Kendall. But forget it. This place has the original beat. The franchise has become too processed and generic while this little whole in the wall has a management that still cares about flavor and quality. OK, here is my story. They opened in Plantation several years ago and served the BEST grilled steak asado w/chimichurri I have ever had anywhere, and it was a tiny shop with two or three tables. We ate outside at some picnic tables that the strip center had. It was the best 10.00 lunch you could have. I THINK the owners ran it--middle-aged lady and gentleman. Then, they brought in a young man from Columbia, I think, who had no idea how to cook or run a restaurant. He was a fairly rude child, for the most part. That location closed-big surprise-and I have not been to this one. However, if the same people who ran the Plantation store--the owners, I believe--are at this one, it is probably still the best around for that dish. I can't speak for the rest of the menu. This was so good no one ever ordered anything else there. Too bad other Latin-focused restaurants can't duplicate that dish, as it seems rather easy. I would probably drive there-a huge trip from Deerfield-if I knew I could get the same exact item, that's how good it was. I have lived in SF for 43 years and DO NOT stand in line for food ANYWHERE, regardless of the supposed quality, etc., but I would drive down for this if I knew it was the same. Cheers! read more
