First going to this location recommended by a family member. I will say hands down the maracuyá and salsa verde are amazing. The corn tortillas were fresh and warmed. The grilled chicken was cooked nicely. I would recommend the to have red onions as an option and radishes too. It would add on to the flavor for sure. Keep up the great customer service and quick table service. The location was big enough for groups and the wall art was so nice. I did not ask if they were for sale. Go give them a try. I only gave a 4 because there is room for improvement with the grilled chicken. The guacamole was surprisingly delicious. read more

Great little taco spot! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. Everything tasted homemade, and the portions were generous for the price. I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. Highly recommend if you're looking for delicious tacos and great service! read more

Our server was sweet took her time with our kids and was patient with us, but the place treats their employees really bad we heard screaming in the kitchen after the owner came in and went to the back and after that our server didn't come back instead someone else was taking care of our order. It was all just very chaotic and they shouldn't treat their employees that way!! read more

Food is pretty dry, but the quesadilla is not too bad but i definitely think there's better places for tacos I personally don't recommend

"Este restaurante antes era uno de mis favoritos, pero en los últimos años la calidad ha bajado muchísimo. Antes las porciones eran generosas y la comida se sentía fresca y bien preparada. Ahora, además de que la cantidad de comida que sirven es mínima, los precios están por las nubes y la calidad ya no es la misma. Es una lástima ver cómo un lugar que solía ser excelente ha decaído tanto." read more

Yesterday I had major taco Tuesday feels and needed to come to this place and have their crispy chicken and shredded beef tacos *drooling emoji* delicious! They're shells look like empanadas! They are fried and very well live up to their crispy title! Their sour cream is also so tasty! I just love this place lol this is my taco Tuesday spot! OH and their frozen mango smoothie.... to die for read more

For being called the Taco Shop, their tacos were surprisingly disappointing. After looking exhaustively on yelp for a taco place for Taco Tuesday, I settled on this place because I've been wanting to check it out because it's the only non chain taco spot in Hialeah. bad choice indeed. The first sign should've been that the place was pretty empty for it being a taco Tuesday. But whatever I still came in cause I was starving. Now for their tacos, they sell them individually or as a trio. But this is where it gets kind of confusing. Some of the tacos you can only order as a trio such as the grilled shrimp and the tongue, but that isn't specified on their menu. So I end up ordering the carne asada, al pastor tacos, and chicken tacos on corn tortillas. They give you chips and there's a small salsa bar for them with mild, medium, or hot. The chips were a little bit stale, but since I came at basically 10pm I didn't care much. Now for the tacos, honestly I was so sad I wasted money on something that wasn't satisfying. The al pastor tacos had wayyyy too much onion and like no pineapples and the carne asada ones had too little pico de gallo. The chicken one was alright but nothing spectacular. The only good thing is that they give you guac and sour cream for free. Would I come back? No. But try it out for yourself and let me know what you think. read more

This restaurant is located in a small shopping plaza, and it's not the best looking plaza but you won't miss it. Once you walk in, you could see that it is a mom and pop restaurant, a gem ppl would miss if they are fooled by its cover. The decor is all Mexican culture and even the music is ranchero. They have a good variety of things to choose from on their menu. They have a good amount of sodas ( common ones such as Pepsi and sprite and they also have not so common ones such as jarito). Horchata, passion fruit and tamarindo juice. We choose the sampler platter and one that brought shrimp, rice, liquified beans, and lettuce and tomatoes. They also have a salsa bar. They have from non-spicy to prepare your pampers spicy hahahahaha. The portions are fantastic (prepare to have left overs). The ladies who help with your order in the counter will bring your food to your desk when it's ready. Enjoy!!!!! read more

If you skimp on sauces, it's going to cost you! I've eaten at this spot a couple of times on and off and somehow hadn't been motivated to review it. To it's credit, it's OK. It's pretty authentic (staff is actually Mexican as is the decor and soundtrack. ) Their chicken tacos, are particularly good. They were loaded with chicken, lettuce, Pico De Gallo, and sour cream. The chips were crispy, if a little greasy. Service was pleasant. But... If you read my reviews, you know the sauce and seasoning is an essential part of my meal. They used to have a self-serve salsa bar which I generously patronized especially with their burritos. However, when I went tonight the salsa bar is no longer. I had to keep asking for salsa, which was served in cups smaller than a cortadito and a little less than the nearby chain Mexican restaurant. No es bueno! Especially because my chicken burrito, while nicely packed with meat and a decent helping of crema tasted heavy on beans and light on salsa. That's why you get only 3 stars. read more

I've ordered from this place so many times that I'm just glad it's been through an app and not in person because they would think I never cook! Ive ordered up to three times in the same week from them and you know what, I don't regret, not even a little bit! Prices are great, portions are generous most of the time. Since I've ordered many times and quite often I have noticed a lack of consistency on the portions of protein depending on which one you order. What I've Tried: -Taco Salad: This is what i always order. Sometimes I request it without rice and I usually change up the protein but this salad has yet to fail me. Lettuce, pico de gallo, refried beans, cheese, rice and items like carne asada, grilled chicken, carnitas, al pastor or ground beef in a crispy shell. Most of the time it comes with a side of guac and a side of sour cream, tortilla chips and some salsa. -Chicken WIngs: Your choice of six or eight fried wings served with fries, buffalo sauce and either ranch sauce or blue cheese for under $10. -Nachos: These are my boyfriend's favorite. My boyfriend eats it all himself and ends up in a food coma but it is definitely more than enough to share. His topping of choice is usually the chicken. -California Fries: Similar to the nachos except in place of tortilla chips at the bottom, it's fries. It's like loaded fries on steroids. If we have any left of this, we just pop it into the oven for a couple of minutes and they're just as good. -Tamales: Being Cuban Honduran, I was ashamed to say I had never tried Mexican tamales so when I saw these on their menu I decided to give them a try. While they were drier than the different tamales I'm used to, I really enjoyed them and am now can add another type of tamale I like to my list. -Quesadillas: Simple but delicious. The one thing I don't really like from this place is the guacamole. It's ok on the nachos and fries since it's mixed with all the other ingredients but on it's own it's weird. That is the main thing I feel needs improvement. read more

I'm not really sure who is ranking this restaurant, but I will say I contemplated giving my first ever 1 star review. I came to this place for lunch, excited to eat a 4.5 star mexican restaurant and what I got was far from it. I also ordered a recommended dish by many yelpers and found the following. The refried beans were easily the best part of the meal. I ordered the tacos al pastor and found that the meat tasted like a chicharron, doused in so much oil, you couldn't even discern what type of meat you were eating. The rice was ok and the guacamole wasn't terrible but I would never go back to this establishment. I think it tells you enough that there is never more than one car outside of the restaurant and I truthfully feel defrauded by yelpers for having dined at this 4.5 star establishment. This meal was terrible. I don't know if I have hialeah yelpers to thank but I am not impressed. Go to jacalito and then tell me what this ranks. read more

Was craving tacos and not Taco Bell isn't it. Yelped what was close to my home and almost went to another joint but decided to go here. Yes store front taco stand. The place was a little empty when I got there (I guess with it being Valentines and all). Reviewed the menu and there isn't much on there for pescatarians. The cashier was extremely helpful and gave suggestions. I ordered the shrimp tacos. Can I say they were full of juicy flavorful shrimp. Three come in and order for $8.95 with a basket of tortilla chips. I also got a passion fruit drink and my order was less than $12 with tax. There salsa bar is small but the salsa has a kick. I think the medium is hotter than the hot. But both are good. They bring your food to you when it is ready on paper plates. But it is a taco stand in a store front. I noticed the foot traffic increased as strong came in to pick up take out and eat in. I really enjoyed the food I had here and will take my friends who eat chicken pork and beef to experience this. read more

Great spot right on 49th street (nw 103rd) in Hialeah. It's a casual place that offers a nice assortment of easy to eat Mexican dishes. Fast and friendly service. Another plus side is that they are open later than other places in the area so this is one of my go to's for a late affordable dinner. My usual is the Carne asada chimichanga. It's like toasted burrito. I don't like veggies so I really like it that they already have the lettuce and pico de gallo on the side. I've also had the rice dishes with chicken and beans. Also a great option. Some other things I've tried are the taquitos (so-so) and the chicken enchiladas (good but I have to add the salsa for more flavor). read more

This is definitely one of my favorite Mexican place. The place itself is a small restaurant with lots of colorful artwork on the walls, I enjoy eating there even though most of the times I get carry out. Every item on the menu is delicious. I always get the California fries and sampler. The California fries are huge, enough for two people. It's a huge amount of French fries with guac, beans, tomatoes, melted cheese and your choice of meat (carnitas for me). I always share this plate because of it's size. The sampler comes with mini tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, and guac. Just as delicious!!! They have many choices of Mexican drinks, ice cream and desserts. They also have a small salsa station for you to add to your liking. read more

Not sure why this restaurant doesn't have 5 stars but it truly deserves it! I fucking live for the chimichangas from here. Honestly so perfectly executed. Cool place. Lots to choose from. Yummy fresh homemade food. Plus fast, friendly service. I'd give it 4 stars but it's a little too Americanized for me. I place my order for a chimichanga with "Steak" because the board doesn't say carne asada. (I had first confirmed that it was indeed carne asada first because I wasn't too sure) I then look over at the drink selection, point at the magenta drink and ask for a Agua de Jamaica. He tells me it's Fruit Punch :'( ::tear:: I point at the yellow one and ask for Piña, he says it's Lemonade. My heart sinks a little more. So I get a cup of water :( We sit down. Munch munch munch. Yummy food. Grabbed a chocolate & coconut covered banana on the way out for like a buck fifty and it made my day. read more

As okay. They give you plenty to eat and they better for the price you pay here. Pretty expensive for just a little taco shop with mediocre food. I LOVE carne asada fries and was let down when I was recommended this place by some friends that love to eat Hispanic style food restaurants, but this place just isn't it for me. You can't leave here without trying it. Carne nachos are really good and I've always had the same thing here, I can't get myself to order anything else here. Friendly and quick service.
