Hi, I visited this place 2 days ago and had a good experience. I asked to substitute the 3 corn tortillas from the tacos de birria for flour tortillas and the girl upfront had no problem doing it. The following day, I recommended this place to my coworkers and some of them went to eat at this place. Today, I went with my wife. She ordered the taco chimichanga platter and I decided to order the tacos de birria on flour tortillas again. Only this time, there was a blonde lady listening and whispered something to the girl. Immediately, the girl told me that they couldn't do it, that it had to be corn tortillas. I told her that she had taken my order 2 days ago without a problem, she told me in a low voice:"but she wasn't here"and the blonde lady interrupted saying that I had to get the corn tortillas that it tasted better. I said:"but I don't eat corn, I don't like it ", she yelled at the cook asking if he could do it, and I had the impression that he said yes, so I paid and sat down. The girl came with my wife's order and left. I waited a while. In the meantime, I see a big roach crawling on the floor from table to table. I get up and asked the girl what had happened with my tacos. She told me that she charged me for my wife's order only because they couldn't substitute the 3 tortillas in my order. I said: "ok, fine. By the way, there's a big roach crawling on the floor " (instead of alerting the customer that was sitting close to the roach), I told my wife that they had not make my order, but she could eat her food because I wasn't really hungry, and my wife told me that if I wasn't eating she wasn't going to eat either. So we left, but while getting inside the car, I felt like I had to come back and say something. So I went inside and told the blonde lady that it was ridiculous and stupid not to please the customers so they could keep coming back. It is outrageous that substituting 3 tortillas results in a business losing customers. She was never polite, and was actually cocky defending her side. So I said:"that's fine, you will never see my face around here anymore, and by the way, the roach incident that I decided to keep quiet, will now be known". We threw away my wife's platter and left. We feel robbed and mistreated by this unprofessional lady that doesn't have a clue of how to treat customers, shame on you! read more

When in Hialeah, if your looking for an authentic Mexican spot, they have the right deal for your meal. The plaza is a bit tight with parking, especially with the new and busy cafe spot 2 doors down, but there is additional parking in the back. Oh just a tip, you know they have authentic dishes when they also serve fresh juices like Passionfruit and that good Horchata! So i stick with the steak tacos. Simple and delicious! It's topped with just cilantro and you can add your own toppings such as onions, salsa and hot sauce of your choice. The steak is tender, soft and cut in small pieces. It's easy to eat and not too messy. Definitely recommend y'all to try this place out. read more

An hour. I've been waiting for tacos for over an hour. Didn't even know that was possible. Watched someone else come in. Order after me and be served. And I'm still waiting 40 minutes later. It's just crazy. I ordered on Uber eats around 8pm. It's now 915. I have no way to properly cancel the order and I can not explain how insane this is. Also. None of the back employees are wearing their face masks properly. They only have the masks covering their noses. So one has to kinda question the cleanliness of the establishment. read more

I decided to impulsively give this place a try the other day while I was in the area and it certainly did not disappoint. I ordered the carne asada quesadillas and a large horchata to go and was blown away by the freshness and the amount of steak you get!! Come in today and we ordered what we thought were street tacos with Chips and cheese... what we got was tacos with cilantro... onions:.. the tortilla was still cold and very dry. To the point that I almost choked on my tacos. The hostess brought us chips with shredded cheese which confused us... we asked for queso.. we were able to switch it out for guacamole thankfully. Let me start of by saying, this used to be Roberto's Tacos. I LOVED that place and have many fond memories of the almost 24 hour service. This place though, is superb as well. My Cowboy is VERY particular about his Mexican food and he will brave Hialeah to get to this place! (No offense but the drivers and roads suck in this area) I have had a long standing affair with Mole Sauce and theirs is ON POINT! The steak strips nachos is hands down Orgasmic! All their juices are just like the ones my Aunts and Grandma used to make for us kids, growing up!!! All the dishes we have tried thus far have made us quite happy! This afternoon I had lunch with my coworker which happens to be Mexican. He said the food was delicious and I completely agree with him on that one. I had three little bundles of taco joy here on a Sunday night and the best Horchata I've tasted since Chicago. The tacos al pastor are a definite must. They have a fresh Salsa bar with what must have been like 8 or 9 different homemade salsas; my favorites were the Tomatillo Salsa and their House Mild. I must warn you, the place doesn't look like much, but don't let that stop you...Taco Shop is the place for great authentic Mexican in the Hialeah/Miami Lakes area. read more

NOM NOM NOM!!!!! A friend from school had a Groupon to this place, but practically had to beg me to trek out to Hialeah. WELL WORTH THE DRIVE Y'ALL!!! Cheap. Yummy. did i mention yummy? We had a $20 groupon and had trouble ordering that much because everything was so cheap! I had the Chihuahua Burrito and my friend had 2 enchiladas. Both came with chips and your choice of an assortment of salsas!! The verde caliente was my favorite!! We also ordered 2 single tacos with pork. They came with lettuce, pico, and guac. The pork was a little dry. I would probably try chicken next time. The burrito was AWESOME!! Just a flour tortilla, lettuce, sour cream, beans, rice, and carne asada yumminess! The enchiladas looked very good! They piled the sauce and cheese onto 3 of them. The only downside to this place was their guac. Didn't seem homemade which I am fine with.....but didn't taste appetizing either. The consistency was very blended and was pretty bland. It is a decent sized walk in place that gets pretty packed at lunch! but clean and organized! Everything comes on a styrofoam plate but I could argue it makes the food taste better! Visited Taco Shop last minute because we saw a groupon for it and decided to try it out. Definitely not worth trying again. The Groupon was $14 for 2 entrees and either nachos or a sample platter. If you enjoy large quantities of food for minimal price and are willing to sacrifice quality food then this is the spot for you. A lot of food for very little money. I don't know why I was under the impression this was a sit down restaurant. but its definitely not. You walk in order your food off a large screen you sit and they bring it to you. its dark lit and smelled kind of musty like wet rag. i was expecting to smell fried beans and meat. That's the last thing i smelled. I ordered the taco salad and it was ok. a lot of chicken which was good but didn't have a distinctive Mexican flavor. i wish there was more cilantro and lime in there. we shared the appetizer that brought a few things. again lots of ok Mexican food. My fiance had the wet burrito nothing wow just a burrito with red sauce over it. If your in the area and are craving Mexican, this is your best bet b/c the only otehr option is Taco bell in that area. Two co-workers an I went for lunch on a Tuesday. We took our time looking over the expansive menu and let others by. We decided on tacos, quesadillas, and an al Pastor (marinated pork) plate. The food was brought out quickly and it was hot. The rice and beans were good, the corn tortillas soft and delicious with the tacos and al Pastor plate. The great, fresh sauces went perfectly with the chips. There is a big variety of food and authentic Mexican food items (cookies, little cakes, etc) to pick from. I always drive by here and wondered about this place so today I finally walked in. My mom was starving and I was just craving an Horchata, which was the first thing I ordered, I wasn't too hungry so we shared a sample platter. The Horchata was perfect not too sweet, I really dislike overly sweet drinks. The sample platter was nummy the perfect share plate, it wasn't overly seasoned so if you like lots of salt in your food cause your taste buds are dead (no shade I'm just saying) you may complain about that. But for myself it was just on point. My favorite from the platter was the tostada and the taquitos, my Mom the tostada and the nachos, the salsa choices I liked the green one labeled as medium hot but i didn't feel it. The chicken mole tasted very different from the one í had in México, it wasn't bad, it just wasn't the same. I also tried their chicken tacos and they were also good but not something I'd order again. This place was open late which is í ended up there in the first place and the prices were between $8-$13. I was originally going to order the steak nachos and I think í messed up by not doin so because the person behind me got them and they looked really good. The manager ( light skinned, short, chubby, black haired) is always doing something with the most saltiest face!
