    Tacos al pastor
    John L.

Food was delicious & drinks were great. No complaints, Juan was our server & half of our amazing experience was thanks to him. Will definitely return soon!

La comida muy rica , el pozole rojo más que divino . El servicio una maravilla, nuestra mesera siempre al pendiente de nuestra mesa . La decoración es un 20/10 , muy colorido al estilo mexicano.

    Cochinita pibil tacos

Came here on a Sunday for lunch. Ordered the horchata, chile en nogada, and the cochinita pibil tacos. First off, I have to say the complimentary chips were some of the best I've had. It had this savory flavor that almost reminded me of cheese. Horchata ($4.50): refreshing and sweet. 4.5/5 Chile en nogada ($31.50): this was the first time I'd ever had it. Maria was our server and I'm glad she made sure we were okay that it was both savory and sweet. While it looked impressive (a giant stuffed pepper drenched in a sweet sauce and topped with pomegrante seeds), the sauce was too sweet for me personally so I probably wouldn't get it again. 4/5 Cochinita pibil tacos ($15.50): This was my favorite of the two. The pork was flavorful and juicy. Definitely would want to try their other tacos. 5/5 Overall I enjoyed the food and ambience. Maria our server was attentive and checked in on us. The environment was definitely on top of the theme with the staff's outfits, decor, and the great music. Parking readily available as it's located in a plaza. Will definitely consider coming back!

The food was absolutely delicious! The pork belly was sooo good, the guacamole was so unique. Everything from drinks to the birria tacos were to die for. Thank you Marcelo, he was so sweet and attentive. I cant wait to be back!

Absolutely spectacular! Chile en nogada! I had it once years ago. Hard to find places that serve it. Marcelo, the server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The decor is festive. But that Chile en nogada is like Christmas on a plate!

Best Mexican food I've had since leaving Texas. Delicious empanadas with juicy carnitas, and the salsa picante added a lot of heat. Margarita was perfectly tart, no sweetness. Cappuccino had cinnamon on top and was excellent.

Omg, so good a must try! The Elote was incredible! I also got the shrimp tacos a must try. The service was spot on. This is a must try if you're in Doral Fl.!

I was visiting Miami for work and came across this Mexican restaurant while craving authentic Mexican food and a good margarita. Fabi was my server and provided excellent, friendly service with great recommendations for both drinks and entrées. I tried the passion fruit margarita and Paloma, both of which were great. The flautas were delicious and authentic. The food quality was there and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. If you're in the area and looking for solid Mexican cuisine, definitely give this place a try!

Food - 4 Service - 4 Ambiance - 5 Drinks - 4.5 Overall - 4.3 The highlight of this restaurant is the decoration. Wow, well done. I gotta say I didn't have het much food, only the chips, guacamole, tacos and the chile en nogada. The chile was pretty average and expensive ($32), I know it requires a lot of preparation and effort but the flavor was not there. On the other hand, the guac, tacos and drink were delicious. I will return. Enjoy and cheers.

This place was great for a Mexican lunch near MIA. Nachos and Guacamole with Al Pastor Tacos.

Great little Mexican place near MIA not too crowded during lunch. Great service and friendly wait staff.

We went here between January 27 & February 6/2026. La Potranca has five Florida locations, but this cantina does not feel like a chain. Authentic sabor Mexicano with an excellent friendly staff. Family friendly & handi-able accesible from the parking lot. This location gets full by 7pm but there is extended service & seating in the common covered courtyard. Plenty of parking in this strip mall location. Service is excellent, fast, & great choices of tacos & drinks. You can choose from 14 different meats/cuts for your tacos, including birria & al pastor. Bow to the taco! Also gringas, vampiros, & burritos. They have bowls (they're BIG) & brunch. p.s. try the churros with 3 dipping sauces. Drinks are extra special here. The clamato & beer cocktail is very unique. Served in a Tajin rimmed large mug, with lime & a tamarind wrapped straw. Excellante! Also a variety of margaritas served in whimsical glasses & their three house cervazas (beers) on draft. La Potranca pays homage to iconic singer & actor Vincente Fernandez "King of Ranchera". Check out the interesting connection with the staff or online. The staff here is excellent. Very helpful when navigating the menu. Very friendly. True professionals. Special shout out to Mauricio & Ralphael - you hombres make this place truly special. Mucho Gracias. We give La Potranca our highest recommendation. Parking was a bit challenging due to the limited number of spaces, but once we walked inside, the experience more than made up for it. We were warmly greeted by Carolina, who also became our server. She was incredibly patient and took her time walking us through the menu, explaining each dish and how everything is prepared. Her dedication to customer satisfaction truly stood out, and we hope management recognizes what an asset she is. Carolina proudly shared that every item on the menu is made in‑house, and it absolutely shows. My wife ordered the Quesadilla de Pollo with a side of Arroz Mexicano and couldn't stop talking about the exceptional flavors. I chose the Tostada al Pastor, a small Tortilla Soup, and a side salad. Everything was delicious, but the Tortilla Soup was the star of the meal--a perfect example of why in‑house preparation matters. Since we're not from the area, we weren't sure where to go for lunch, and we truly lucked out choosing Don Maguey--and having Carolina as our server. Thank you, Carolina. When I looked 20 minutes after at my credit card statement read I had been charged $77 and change pending a potential tip on top of that, even with tip included it is still over approximately $7 what I signed off for. We called to determine the prices of each individual meal and "the manager" was stumbling to tell us the prices for everything. Even with the fake numbers that were given to us it still didn't add up correctly. I remember the prices for the 3 meals my family and I ordered and I remember what the check said. I let it be because maybe they need more than I do. As for the food, I'm born and raised on the border of Mexico and although I must say it does scream authenticity especially on appearance the meat is bland, and that "Mexican rice" is by far the worst tasting rice I've had. For a casual person that likes Mexican food you may like it, but if you know what you're tasting you will not. Also, they didn't have 4 different things on the menu available ultimately leading me to have to go with my 5th option. It is very expensive for what it is, and even more expensive when your waitress manipulates the system.

Was the first time for all of us and I really like when everyone at table is experiencing it for the first time together, definitely adds to the overall vibe/occasion. As we were walking up, they had nicely decorated patio tables, which we learned inside is where Happy Hour is available "all-day", which is music to anyone's ears! It was a Monday so there was plenty of room (we had a reservation either way), and noticed right away that the place didn't feel stuffy (high ceilings) and the decor was very nice. I chose a real nice booth to sit in which had me facing the huge blue bar wall. Aesthetically pleasing and didn't look cheap, which is a plus. My sister and I arrived first, so we went ahead with cocktails while we waited for our cousins to park and walk over. My sister went for traditional margarita but made it Mango, and it was great. I ordered the Mezcalita de Naranja and its was the bomb - I had 3. Would absolutely get again. Once the cousins arrived they went for a red sangria which looked dark and not exactly traditional, and another Mezcalita after tasting it. Thumbs up on the drinks, very well made. The food was very well portioned and everything was delicious. Aside from the entrees pictured we also did an order of steak quesadillas, toro taquitos (raw tuna), and some tequeños. Hard to say if one was really the standout but I chose to toro taquitos and the tuna was fresh, wasn't overly spicy and hit nicely with my drink. Quesadillas were dope too, steak was medium-well. My main was the Molcajete and if you go hungry, will definitely hit the spot right. Great service all around, our server Mildanny made several good recommendations for us, including the dessert which was a hit. Cost for 4 people was pretty reasonable and that's that it was pretty much two drinks per person. Will definitely be back to take advantage of HH!

I have to confess that I always intend to try other types of tacos and the other dishes they have to offer but always stray to my tried and true favorite (sorry piggies). It is a cute little space well decorated to give a comfortable ambience. The service is also excellent. I have also ordered these tacos at home through a delivery service and arrive the same in quality. With the exception of Wynwood (because it is Wynwood), there is a free parking lot. Sincerely my go to place for tacos. I also love La Potrcana for tacos, but they are so TINY in comparison. Truly, do yourself a favor and the next taco crave you have, go here!
