After visiting 9 different bridal shops in my state, my mom and I decided to make the trip to Sacramento in search of the gown I was looking for. We made a day of dress shopping visiting 4 different bridal shops including Bride to Be and it was hands down the best shop out of the 13 I visited. not only did they have a wonderful selection of gowns and designers at a variety of different prices, they had the BEST customer service and gave me the most wonderful experience. i would recommend my stylist, Lauryn, to anyone who makes an appointment! Lauryn was friendly, knowledgeable of the gowns and their inventory, and was incredible at listening to my feedback. They promised it would arrive in a week to a week and a half. 3/30: after hearing nothing , I went to their store to ask about the dress. They were unable to find that it was ever ordered. They let me know they would speak to their manager. They texted me the same day to let me know it would be in on Thursday (4/2). 4/3: on Friday I texted to find out if the dress had come in on Thursday. They assured me I could come pick it up later in the day. Then they sent a follow up text message saying that it wasn't in, but it would be there Monday (4/6) or Tuesday (4/7). 4/7: I texted to see what the status of the dress was. The owner called me and let me know that it would be in on Thursday. Prom is Saturday. I asked for a refund since prom is in a couple days and we have no dress, and that every other deadline had been missed. The owner refused saying she would only give me a refund if the dress did not get here in time for prom. She indicated that the prior dates I was given were by staff that did not have authority to give dates. She also indicated they did not give refunds, but I reminded her that she has my money and I have no dress. She still refused to refund me. I let her know I would call my bank to reverse the charges. She ended the call by telling me that she would reach out on Thursday to let me know I could pick up my dress. Update: 4/9: the owner texted me at 3:25pm letting me know the dress was available for pick up and offered to discount a third of the cost. I reiterated my request for a full refund since the transaction wasn't available to be completed until a day and a half before prom and in that time we had to get a new dress. I sent her a recap of the timeline and she responded saying "I completely understand and you're right, I would plead my case, but in the event to not further inconvenience you, we will just settle at a refund. Please provide the last four digits of the card used." I'm glad this is concluded and VERY glad to have my money back.

There was a bit of a gap between what my friend was looking for and what the stylist pulled though I don't think this was their fault at all. Towards the end, we hadn't found THE dress and there was definitely an all hands on deck moment where multiple people came by to grab dresses, clear the area, and "assist". I honestly think it would have been more constructive to literally state that we were approaching the end of our appt time and wrapping up. Though this store carries a good amount of variety, I would not recommend this experience to other brides. It felt rushed, impersonal, and overall detracted from the shopping process for my friend. The store itself is expansive; the front exterior facade is a complete fake out because it winds and winds in the back and has a good amount of capacity. Parking is street parking which can get busy/full so allow time for that as well.

My husband brought in his uniform, patches, and printed out the specific instructions for them to use. I go to pick his uniforms up a few days later and my husband tells me that it's been done wrong. They sewed his name patch ON the pocket flap when the instructions specified that it belongs ABOVE the pocket flap. No branch of the military has the name patch sewn on the actual flap which led me to believe that they in fact did not have experience with military uniforms. They also cut the name patch incorrectly so it's no longer usable. We had to order new ones which cost $20, and they were back ordered. Great. We ended up getting a partial refund from the business, but were not reimbursed for the name patches. I'm sure this business does well with dresses and suits, but I'd probably go somewhere else for military uniforms, especially when you brought in a physical copy of instructions on where the patches go, that they didn't even look at.

I initially chose a less expensive seamstress for my wedding dress alterations, and unfortunately, the neckline was completely botched and uneven. With my wedding only being 1 month away, this was a huge disappointment and caused an unnecessary additional amount of stress. I brought my dress to Carole, who was recommended by the bridal shop, and she was an absolute pleasure. She fixed the neckline beautifully and, while working on the dress, also noticed that the original bustle had been poorly done and was likely to break. Only 1 button for all that fabric (right where my bottom hits the chair), I mean come on! Carole fixed it beautifully with a French bustle. Before and after photo below. What I appreciate most is that she was willing to take on someone else's work and fix it, even though I had originally passed on her because her quote was higher. After seeing the love and quality she put into my dress, I truly wish I had just gone with her from the beginning! She was professional, knowledgeable, and so so kind.
