Helen is probably one of the most kind people that I have worked with. She's generous and is a pro at what she does. The process was so smooth and she had so many examples to show me. I'm so glad she followed up with me because life gets too busy. I just had my finalize decorations meeting and can't wait for my dad's celebration party. Super excited!! Thanks for being awesome Helen. 10/10 recommended!

Not only does Phuong Trinh provide bridal and decoration services, they also sell some fabric and a few ao dai pieces here. I came here to check out some ao dai to wear for Vietnamese new year and was disappointed that my size wasn't available. Totally not their fault though Because traditional Vietnamese gowns always need to be custom made for better fitting. I did eventually find one that I liked and it was absolutely perfect. Blush. Floral designs. Small sparkle beads. With mesh fabric. And that's what I left with :) I am beyond happy with my purchase and the woman that helped me was so nice.

My husband and I were more than impressed with Helen and her team's work! We booked our venue at Happy Garden Restaurant and she made it look gorgeous. She'll show you a book of her previous work which you can select from or you can show her what you like and she'll make it happen. She has been in the wedding business for a long time and she was able to give us recommendations on other things like flowers and DJs. And her price is unbeatable. For $3200 she decorated the entire restaurant (center stage, walls, ceilings), check in table, photo area, cake table, and chair covers. She also threw in gift trays, candles, and tea set for our tea ceremony. The outcome was beautiful. We received many compliments. I highly recommend Phuong Trinh for your wedding decorating! Helen is very sweet, friendly, and easy to work with.

Phuong Trinh is amazing, 10/10 recommend! I had somewhat of a last minute post elopement wedding celebration at Happy Garden, and Phuong Trinh exceeded my expectations. She handled the drapes, backdrop, tables covers, chair covers, sweetheart table, cake table, and up lighting. She's really sweet, generous, and I had no problems with any communication whatsoever. Thank you to her and her team for making the process smooth and stress free :)

Everything was perfect! Decorated just like how I envisioned the wedding decorations to be!! She was nice enough to rent out some of the decorations to us for the tea ceremony and did decorations for the church ceremony as well. The reception was my favorite part! Especially the custom arches she made for us to be put in the aisle of the restaurant

Helen is such a sweetheart! I showed her a picture of what I wanted in terms of decorating since it was at a newer venue. She's great at communicating and she asked for me to text her the exact color so that she could order it. A week before the wedding she actually went to the venue to do a mock set up and sent me a picture to make sure it was what I wanted, which it was! She literally went above and beyond my expectations. Thank you again!

Phuong Trinh's bridal was a pleasure to work with. She listens to what you want and she follows through with you. Her pricing is very fair. Her work is very decent. I was very pleased with the outcome! My guests had a blast! Chi thao ( Helen) made my wedding planning and day of such a breeze! I would definitely recommend her and her service!

Helen at Phuong Trinh did an amazing job!! She decorated my sister's wedding a few years before and it was beautiful, so I decided to go through her as well. Helen again, did not disappoint we were very happy with the church decorations and reception decorations. Our theme was a rustic elegance with emerald green. Helen did not have chair sashes in this color so she custom made every single chair sashes, that's 240 chairs!! I was in tears with her willingness and ability to go over and beyond for me. She made my special day come true for sure. She even went as far as adding additional candles and crystal pieces to enhance the whimsical night. My brother is now getting married and I already know where he should go! Lol but check out some photos

Helen from phuong trinh did amazing job on my wedding. From the moment I met her to the end she did amazing job following up and putting my ideas into action. What amazed me thr most was how Beautiful the whole venue turned out. It doesnt look like the same venue we first book. She turn the whole thing into a mysterious night. Her photo booth area looks amazing. Her sweetheart table back drop and table cover was gorgeous. Her ceiling design was amazing. The dessert table cover backdrop is super cute. And all the wall covers makes it looks awesome. All the guests were super surprised. Me and my family couldnt believe our eyes. Her work was one of thr best I seen. And people keep asking me who did the gorgeous designs and decoration. Thank you so much Helen. You did amazing job and are super nice to work with.

Before my appointment, I had a video call with Sandra, the owner, to chat about what I was looking for so she could have some dresses already pulled for me to try on when I went in. The dress I purchased was the second one I tried on, but I still had fun trying on all of the other dresses. Sandra clearly has a keen eye for design, and there were dresses to fit pretty much any style in the shop. I loved that each dress is limited production, so I knew my dress would be unique! Sandra made me feel so comfortable and beautiful throughout my whole appointment. When my wife went for her appointment, it was her first experience shopping for a wedding dress and she was very anxious going in. I had already purchased my dress and Sandra made sure my dress was nowhere in the shop so we wouldn't accidentally purchase the same dress! She had a wonderful experience that put her at ease and got to try on several options. She was certain going in that she wasn't going to purchase anything but found her dress that day! She was also able to work with Sparkle to convert a beautiful floral veil into a cape to attach to her dress. I highly recommend Sparkle for any mid- to plus-size brides!

She found a dress at the second place we went to Miosa Bride. I phoned Sparkle at 11A and told them she thought she'd found her dress. I did not want to waste anyone's time by trying on more dresses. The woman who answered said she would talk to her manager about waiving the $50. I did tell her we'd be happy to keep the appointment, but really thought my daughter had found her dream dress. The woman responded again that she would speak w/her manager and would get back to me that day. No phone call from her, the charge went onto my cc immediately! In contrast, when I phoned to cancel her David's Bridal appointment, the woman was thrilled that my daughter found her dress! She thanked me and appreciated my phone call. I think it's pretty tacky and petty to promise one thing with no plans to fulfill that.

Brides for a Cause - 1st dress I tried on. So beautiful but not for me.

I wanted the beautiful dress, just like all brides, but the thought of spending thousands for a dress I would wear for one day felt so strange too. I wanted the perfect dress, but without the weight on my conscience that I was not only spending a lot but being unsustainable or wasteful. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I found Bride for a Cause, a shop that aligned with my ideals and also felt far more wallet-friendly. The shop is bright and welcoming, the appointments laid-back (and a little DIY), and the staff very friendly and helpful. Most importantly, though, Brides for a Cause is a perfect trifecta of affordable, sustainable, and charitable -- which made this bride feel great. They collect donations of used or sample dresses, sell them at a deep discount, and then pass along the proceeds to a myriad of inspiring causes supporting women. I'll be honest, knowing that they would be limited to what was donated, I really went to say that I tried and with low hopes that they would be able to make my dress dreams come true. I was prepared to go back to a traditional shop. Instead, I walked out not only with my perfect dress, but with the knowledge that I was being sustainable and supporting great causes. And the $600 price tag did not hurt. I think my dress had not been worn previously, so it needed a bustle and other alterations, which turned out to be more complicated than expected. Still, even with all that, I ended up spending around $900 total on my dress -- well under just the starting price of a similar gown bought at a traditional shop. On top of that, the DIY nature of the shop (where you pick your own dresses off the rack versus having an attendant bring them to you), turned out to be a lot of fun for my sister, niece, and me! One piece of advice: I went to a traditional shop first to have an array of try-ons and hone in on my style preferences (with the expectation that I'd return if I didn't find a dress at Brides for a Cause). I'd highly recommend that to anyone, because it was great to have a professional help pinpoint things from the inspiration photos I'd brought, and then we were able to take notes on what we liked and didn't from the dresses I tried -- making it lot easier to go into Brides for a Cause and find something.

You can book a reservation online which is very simple and required. I did find that the dresses were really expensive even as a budget friendly shop and I would not recommend this place for brides on a very small budget. Also if you aren't within the average dress size, the quantity of available dresses could be very minimal as these are donated dresses and the turnover is pretty frequent. We visited over the summer and it was a little warmer than I expected inside. Also a bit of a tight space when everyone brings family or supporters so just be aware (only 3 guests allowed). I would recommend them for other LGBTQ+ brides which was very important for us to feel safe and welcome :)

Make sure for your fittings you always bring the shoes you'll be wearing for an accurate hem, etc. I opted for the ballroom bustle and Nadia numbered the attachments. They sewed his name patch ON the pocket flap when the instructions specified that it belongs ABOVE the pocket flap. No branch of the military has the name patch sewn on the actual flap which led me to believe that they in fact did not have experience with military uniforms. They also cut the name patch incorrectly so it's no longer usable. We had to order new ones which cost $20, and they were back ordered. Great. We ended up getting a partial refund from the business, but were not reimbursed for the name patches. I'm sure this business does well with dresses and suits, but I'd probably go somewhere else for military uniforms, especially when you brought in a physical copy of instructions on where the patches go, that they didn't even look at.
