Supporting character(s) experience…read more.. As the Big Sis and Maid of Honor (MOH), it was one of my duties to help an 'out-of-town' bride secure bridal shop appointments in Sacramento. This was the first stop on our second day (not consecutive) in the hunt for the perfect dress. Grace and White Bridal came highly recommended by a handful of friends, so we had to make an appointment here. I tried to make the appointment for the bride, but due to the questions asked, I couldn't and didn't want to answer them. They were personal and preferential, so I actually had to have her make the appointment. Also, this is the ONLY bridal shop in Sacramento that actually makes a bride pay for their first appointment. It cost $30 for the appointment, so I guess we paid for our own champs ;) And to note, which their website notes, the $30 fee will go toward your dress if you find one there. We were kindly greeted by our sales associate (SA). I wish I could remember her name. I do remember I loved her dress and she easily shared where she bought it and how recently -- yes, I did go buy it :) Back on track, there was a group of us - bride, MOTB, MIL, MOH, Cousin, and a bridesmaid surprised us by joining shortly after we sat down. The SA was extremely kind and offered us glasses of champs while we waited for the bride to try on her first dress. I will say, she was understaffed, because she was dealing with what seemed like an emergency on the phone and trying to service us while we were there in person. She did the best she could, but I believe it would have been a better experience if she wasn't having to multitask. The brick interior is welcoming with tons of fresh light from the many windows. It is very inviting and feels extremely clean. The interior decor is very similar to many bridal shops, but still super cute. Fun and eclectic furniture, but open and inviting. If you are a bride looking to try on 20+ dresses, this might not be your spot. It's a small, local bridal shop. They have more than 20 dresses, but their inventory is on the smaller side. They have lots of beautiful options, in varying price ranges, but they are only as big as they can be. They also had a 'sale' rack with dresses that were as-is and 'last ones' available. Might be of interest if you are cost sensitive. Overall, it was a nice experience. Not our favorite, but nothing was bad at all. We enjoyed our time there, even though the bride did not find her dress there. Bridal dress shopping is surely an experience...

This was my third shop, and I was exhausted from the two stops I had already had, but this was such a breath of fresh air. Before my appointment, I had a video call with Sandra, the owner, to chat about what I was looking for so she could have some dresses already pulled for me to try on when I went in. The dress I purchased was the second one I tried on, but I still had fun trying on all of the other dresses. Sandra clearly has a keen eye for design, and there were dresses to fit pretty much any style in the shop. I loved that each dress is limited production, so I knew my dress would be unique! Sandra made me feel so comfortable and beautiful throughout my whole appointment. When my wife went for her appointment, it was her first experience shopping for a wedding dress and she was very anxious going in. I had already purchased my dress and Sandra made sure my dress was nowhere in the shop so we wouldn't accidentally purchase the same dress! She had a wonderful experience that put her at ease and got to try on several options. She was certain going in that she wasn't going to purchase anything but found her dress that day! I initially came in for the sample sale but didn't find my dress. Suzie asked if she could show me something outside of the sale, and although I didn't find "the one" that day, she scheduled another appointment with me--and that's when we found a dress that checked off every box I had envisioned! I wasn't able to have my friends with me when I first found the dress, and Suzie was so accommodating and let me come back to try it on for them before making my final decision. She was fun, personable, patient, and incredibly understanding with both me and my guests. She even made me feel completely comfortable when I had to pause to feed my newborn. Wedding dress shopping can already be stressful, and doing it while adjusting to a new postpartum body added another layer, but Suzie made the entire experience feel easy, comfortable, and fun. David's bridal was not my first choice nor ever a choice in my criteria of bridal shopping, but I was talked into it by bridesmaids? The Customer Service here is also really nice really wonderful, very helpful meeting my expectations and they brought my vision to life. They did bring me other dresses to try on to help me make a firm decision, but everything kept going back to this dress. This dress picked me, and something took me by the hand, led me into this store knowing where my heart was and originally wanted to be. They had A LOT of variety in colors and helped me choose the colors for my lehengas. They helped my fiancé pick colors that would match. The lehengas needed some altering so Nisha took my measurements and said they would be ready in a couple of weeks. Nisha called to confirm the dates they would be ready. When they were ready I went in and tried them on. They were so pretty and amazing. There was a little alteration fix that Nisha wanted to do and even offered to drive it to my house to be delivered. The prices are phenomenal with the customer service to match. I was able to try on so many different ones even though I was slightly indecisive and they were helpful the whole way. John was really knowledgeable, kind and actively wanted to help. He helped me make the right decisions and made it easy and painless. He allowed me and my now wife to come to the store before they opened, to help and to pick up and drop off items. Jillian is an angel. On the way to my final fitting, a car pulled out in front of me on my electric scooter, and while trying to swerve and miss the car I was thrown from the scooter and got really bad road rash on my elbows, knees, hands and on my hip. I showed up to the appointment bleeding and limping. Jillian grabbed the first aid kit and dressed my wounds and was overall just very kind and eager to help both with my suit and with my newfound injury. After the wedding I forgot to include a few minor items (cufflinks & Tuxedo Den suit hanger) and they were totally fine with me taking a few days to get it back to them hassle free. I would 100% use them again for any rentals or if I was looking to purchase. Every person I dealt with at Tuxedo Den was kind and professional and they are fantastic at what they do. Hear me out! Im not coming from an angry customer place. They have great service and great workers,…read morebut for real hear me out. I'm a regular suit shopper. I stopped by this place to check it out. Was driving by and saw some suits that were nice in the window. Let me cut this short and say this place is ripping Sacramento off big time. Most folks won't know because this is one of the only suit shops in the area. But coming from someone who buys suits on the regular, this place is NOT it. Almost every suit I looked at was wayyyy less somewhere else. There's one suit in particular where they were selling it for $799. Online was $269. The worker tried to sell me on alterations, but even with alterations, it still doesn't make sense for the suit to be $799. With alterations would probably add another $60 to $150 depending on what needs to be done. I couldn't believe it. Being a business owner myself, i know one thing. Every manufacturer has MSRP and MAP prices. The MSRP is "Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price". The MAP price is "Manufacturers asking price". You CAN sell for the MSRP, but it's best to sell at the MAP because that's the amount that the market will sell for. Honestly this place is good if you need somewhere to check out some stuff. But once you check it out, do yourself a favor and purchase online. WAYYYYY overpriced. I attached a few pics of the suit that i checked out in the store. I found wayyyy more suits in the store that when i looked online, they were wayyyy cheaper.
