The entire family staff is so kind, and they'll even be so gracious as to allow me to practice my ancestral Italian language skills-- which are sadly deficient and in need of constant correction-- while shopping. I learn so much in each of my unofficial lessons when I visit, and I'm deeply grateful to the family for this kind help. I couldn't imagine a more gracious and thoughtful nor a more warm and more kind group of people to create an old fashioned and welcoming environment in the market. Franco, Donatella, and Fiammetta always treat me with such kindness. And in addition of course there are very knowledgeable about the wines and fine liqueurs which are sold there at reasonable prices. I left yesterday with two bottles of wine from my ancient homeland in Sicily and Basilicata and a bottle of Amaro that comes from my grandfather's province of Calabria. Once again a wonderful shopping experience and I cannot recommend this market more. Grazie mille a tutta la famiglia!

They even have a deli in the back that serves lots of Mexican-style meats and takeaway items. I came by to buy tomatoes, salsa, corn tortillas, and cilantro to take down to my camping site on the July 4th weekend. Everything was really fresh and yummy! Definitely recommend checking this spot out when you're in San Onofre.

The tacos are street size, small, but they pack a lot of flavor. The adobado pork was a little salty for my taste. The fish taco was delicious. The cream sauce they use is full of flavor. All the ingredients and toppings are fresh, locally sourced, and you can tell! This is a VERY kid friendly place. Nearly every table had children - newborns and toddlers mostly. Only negative I have to say is that due to how popular the pizza nights are, we were asked to give up our table and as we told the manager that we'd leave in a moment he then pushed further saying that a party was waiting for our exact table right then.
