I just found this place a couple weeks ago and have been back 3 times with friends. Overall I do like the environment, the drinks and the atmosphere. Major turn off is they close early when they feel it's not "busy". I was here on Saturday the day before Halloween and saw they turned away about 7-10 parties at about 10 PM in order to close at 10:30 when the hours are listed until 1. On Halloween weekend?! It left a bad taste in my mouth with being inconsistent with the closing time, so I'm more hesitant to bring more people. Nice hipster spot located at the Valley Mall of El Monte. So here's the thing. If the locals treat this spot right then I'm sure things will work out for everyone. Here's what I think after 2 visits. During our 1st visit the females bartenders didn't seem friendly. No smiles, no music and no food in large beautiful location. Nice long wooden tables for large gatherings but the place doesn't serve food. The grumpy waitress told me they have "food vendors" set up in the outdoor patio and you're allowed to eat at the establishment. By the way it turned out the staff was grumpy because they were hungry. Good drinks on our 1st visit. Our 2nd visit was a better turn out with music, friendly staff and happy hour. No food. I was looking for a brewery with a fun vibe. The arcade games are what drew us here. We came in on a Saturday around 5-6PM to check out the scene. We first noticed the pizza truck park by the front entrance which is nice to have something to eat while hanging out. I didn't order any pizza since I had already eaten. When we walked in we were impressed by how open and modern the space was. We walked straight up to the bar and took a seat on the left side which was completely empty. The menu says to order at the bar. We sat and watched as the bartenders seemed to avoid eye contact with us and no one said anything. Not even say that they'lll be right with you. No acknowledgement. We starting thinking should we just leave? It was getting kind of awkward when the 2 bartenders were walking back and forth in front of us. 1 was probably busy but the other one was looking around. Eventually the one that was busy came by to take our order. Drinks were good. We played a few games at the corner arcade while we finished our drinks. The arcade section have 3 pinball machines and 3 or 4 other arcade games like Marvel Vs. Capcom. Overall, a nice bar with lots of seating, looks like it's kept pretty clean and there's also a back patio for outdoor seating. I would have given 5 stars if I didnt feel so awkward at the bar. I can't wait to come back! Bartender Jerod (wrong spelling, maybe?) was amazingly sweet and made our drinks perfectly. Both bar backs were quick and on point. I can't speak for the other bartenders because we only had Jerod helping us. Great priced drinks, nice ambiance, pinball machines, pizza pop up stand right outside the door (they were yummy but i forgot the name), only downside is they have a jukebox which was fun but a DJ would definitely kick this place up a notch, but not a deal breaker. I arrived about 5pm and sat, waiting for a friend. Mind you this is a huge place! Lots of seating and space. Looks like it could be a restaurant as well. First of all, not one worker came to see what I needed. And this isn't like a rustic brewery where you just need to walk up to a bar and order a beer. This gives the impression that it's a full service establishment. I looked over at the bar and one of the bartenders was pulling a hair straightener through her hair! The other was talking to a fellow employee as if she were at a social. I asked to see a food menu. NO FOOD SERVED!!! They told me I could wait for a taco lady showing up later! Progress needs to rethink its location. Have been coming here regularly since the opening and my last review. While we still love this place, the service and overall ambience has declined. We miss the table service and the original staff of last year. The servers that currently work here lack personality and do a poor job at attending to other guests. The only saving grace is the two bartenders, Tyler and Jared! Seriously, they are amazing and keep us coming back. Otherwise, services is pretty cold, unwelcoming and slow. Last year, the bar provided table service. Now, we have to wait at the bar to order our drink and fumble with them back to our seats which is not enjoyable. Staffing shouldn't be an issue as the servers are frequently standing around like lost puppies behind the bar. Please bring back table service or refine the bar ordering experience! read more

Service is horrible. They have like 10 people and pay attention to no one. They have their juke box offline so you have to pay crazy amount of money to play songs or else is dead silence. The owner closed the kitchen real early on a Saturday /4th of July weekend at like 9pm. I then order two Mexican candy shots 13$ each and gave the bartender a 20$ and my card to charge the remaining (which is simple math it's 6$ on the card) he came back to me with charging me 12$!!! I corrected him. And he probably didn't refund me 12$. Overall horrible taproom and bar. Service sucks. Food service sucks. Really don't waste your time by the facade. read more

My husband and I visited this place to watch some football . We walked into a clean and large establishment with lots of TVs and a big bar . I really was looking forward to having a good time. As we arrived, we made our way to the bar, where we stood there for 15 to 20 minutes before any of the bartenders and servers acknowledged us. Finally, after 25 minutes, we got a drink. I was still optimistic that besides that incident, I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt as they were busy, we'll I was wrong. We sat down at a table were yet again we were ignored by the server and waited about 30 minutes to order food.Once we placed our order, which took about 35 minutes for someone to bring the food out, however it was the wrong order , so we were told that our food was being cooked and was going to be out shortly, and that shortly turned into an hour, one of the girls name Celia checked on us and was very upset to see that our food was not yet out she seemed very upset and was very apologetic, she told us that she would talk to the owners and tell our server to comp the food since it had been almost 2 hours if waiting for our order of wings. But the biggest dissapointments was when we got the check and they were still charging us for the food and extra drinks we didn't order, so my husband asked our server to talked to a manager, unfortunately did not get her name but she started off the conversation with a very hostile , rude attitude. As my husband was explaining the situation, she said, " So, you got your food ,so you need to pay." I shined in the conversation, and at mid sentence, she walked away from us. Celia popped in again, and the so-called manager started arguing with her saying "well there comp is going to come out of your check." Celia apologized again for her attitude, and she stated that she had spoken to the owners and that they were going to comp the food. The "manager " came back with a new check with the correct amount. Most definitely never going back to that place is such of shame as the establishment has lots of potential to be a great place. But they need better service and retrained their staff with some basic customer service. read more

Asked for two fruity shots which is not much to ask for if they know what they're doing, she gave us flavored vodka. Also waited for a cocktail without being told it would take time, which im absolutely okay with but I was told nothing while they were behind the bar on their phones. I will not be coming back.
