I walked in and was seated right away. An older woman asked what kind of gel I would like and I told her and her whole attitude changed. For some reason she couldnt do a gel manicure? The "color" was too hard for her.....for a manicure......which is only to paint the nail....in a nail salon. Therefore I waited for the next manicurist and she took about 15 minutes to even come to me. During my wait they changed my water once and the dish they used lookef like it can from a chewed up dog and it looked plain dirty They did a terrible job. The nails were barely buffed or cut proprely. She kepted having to dip her dirty brush in a weird looking bottle ( not dish) in order to get the excess paint off my skin which she didn't do well and rushed since other people wrre waiting. I was desperate to find a place to do my elderly mother's first ever pedicure. The first place I tried was super busy, so we ended up at this place just because the location was convenient. I was happy to see a lot of employees when I walked in, so I knew they'd have time for us. They told us to pick out the colors we wanted but the selection wasn't great at all. It was a shelf of half full,nearly empty old looking polish. My daughter found a pretty red and they did a basic manicure on her super quick! They pulled out a nice new red paint from under the counter, rather than using the old one. The sign said it was $15, which I think is way overpriced for what she did but she ended up only charging me $5! Okay so, I wouldn't personally have my nails done here because the place is run down, and not kept up well. Everything was worn badly and a little dirty but it's still decorated pretty cute(with xmas decor and music at the end of Jan lol) The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because of the guy that did my mom's pedicure. He danced, he sang and he even acted out scenes from The Lion King! My mother loved it and really enjoyed herself. I had a lot of anxiety going in because she has dementia and I didn't know if she would be on her best behavior, lol....she can get a little mouthy sometimes. He massaged her hands, as well as legs and feet. He even used hot stones! When she immediately smeared the paint everywhere stepping down from the chair, he cleaned her up quickly, with no complaints. Most cheap places start at $22 and this place looks like it should charge that much but it was $30. He made it worth the price and since they only charged me $5 for my daughter, I was happy~! read more

I went in with an appt with Hong. I was given a young man that did not speak ur understand English. It's very hard to have someone work on your feet (that's one of your most important parts of your body) he left one leg with lotion after a woman in the store told him I asked for him to leave the lotion on. He left never said good bye thank u. He didn't put my shoes on. Would never never never recommend this place. NOONE TALKS TO YOU AT ALL. This place is definitely overpriced for what it is.... it's pretty old and run down yet charges the same as a newer, more modern, much nicer place. Two things I could not get over.... First: It smelled really strongly of cigarette smoke, which makes me feel sick and is definitely not relaxing (when I pulled up they were all out front smoking cigarettes, obviously the reason why). Second: I'm not sure about the sanitary aspect. It didn't seem like they had new or even properly sanitized tools which is a huge concern. Obviously I can't state that as a fact, as I don't know much about proper sanitization or laws regarding it... I just know when I go to other nail salons they either have a brand new kit for each customer or they are in a plastic bag which have clearly been properly sanitized for each customer. This place just took out a pencil box filled with nail tools that clearly weren't new and when she was done with me, she just put them back in the box and didn't seem as if she was going to put them anywhere to be sanitized. The employees however were incredibly kind and accommodating. The lady that did my pedi gave me the longest massage I've ever had. I feel bad giving it and overall poor review because they really were very nice people. The guy that did my gel manicure did a really nice job, they look great. The lady that did my pedi (extremely nice) but my pedi was not the best of quality when it came to the actual polish... I have nail polish all over my skin around my toes and it's not very even, kind of splotchy in some areas. So to sum it up: based on price, quality, cleanliness I'd give it 1 star. Based on friendliness of employees I'd give it 4. So I'm just gonna split that and give it 2 stars. I probably would have given more stars if it was a lot cheaper than other places, but I don't think I will return here when I know there are dozens of places that are newer and do a better job for the same price. read more

They completely ruined the nails. They look so bad. Im taking them off after I post this, that bad. They rushed the entire time. Didn't check the length, so they're super uneven. I went in and was told the wait for a full set was an hour. Put my name in and when I came back they had taken other walk ins first so I waited another 45 minutes even though I came back 15 minutes early. Then, the nail tech who sits all the way by the door went so fast with the filing it actually hurt to the point I had to tell her to slow down. I asked her to please take her time. And she didn't. She kept going fast and my nails turned out terribly. Then towards the end she had me move to another table to dry them so she could start someone else's. Which was fine but then the lady at that end unplugged the fan for something else and I was sitting there with wet nails and got no help. After a couple days my nails started looking so bad. They look totally embarrassing now. The top coat got dark and you can see where she missed spots. My nails aren't even and they're bumpy and have bubbles. I usually tip $15 for only a $25 full set but this time I tipped nothing. It was sIf you go to this salon. Ask for the male nail tech. He takes his time and does a good job every time. Came back to give them another Chance. Giant yellow letters on their window say they open at 9. Tiny little sign in the window says 9:30. Okay I've been here since 8:50. I have never felt so compelled to write a review! I've been going to this place for several years and it has progressively gotten worse. It's gotten to the point that I will NEVER step foot in there again!!! The owner(Hong) really needs to take a business class or something! It doesn't matter if you make an appointment or just walk in, you'll be told there's a wait time of "35 minutes." She runs that place like a sweat shop. No air conditioning and only 1 fan working with the salon packed full of people on a day that was over 100 degrees outside. I had a scheduled appointment for 1pm. I got there at 12:55 and was told there was a 35 min wait- again! I was hesitant to go back in there after the hack jobof a fill(Hieu) or Jay-i think that was the name he gave me! I want to start off by saying the customer service was great! But being an esthetician myself and knowing sanitation practices and laws... I was very disgusted by the lack of cleanliness. There quatz jars(to sanitize tools) were filled with dead bugs. As I was watching them do my full set and pedicure i realized they reuse their pumus stones on peoples feet, there brushes and tools did not look clean, and they were double dipping the brushes into the powders each time. I came her for my birthday to pamper myself and am SO UPSET AT THE LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE at this place. We make an appointment for 11:20am and arrived at 10:50am to make sure we would get in on time. We were told we were next and we were told to sit and there was only 1 chair to sit for 2 of us to use. Gee, not sure where to start here? The place is extremely unsanitary first off. Not in repaired condition, ie broken everything. Pedi chairs so worn & dirty, which indicates the tools used are not clean either. I cringed to sit down. My biggest complaint is that the product they use is so old that it (including gel polishes & the traditional) doesn't last nearly as long as it should. The whole place is bottom of the barrel for nails. Cheaper by a few bucks, yeah....but not at all worth risking your health! I'm not sure why our govt. doesn't regulate places better, this place would be shut down if so‍. read more

I went in for a Mani/Pedi. Before starting, I mentioned to the woman that my left big toenail was a little sore and to please take it easy on this one. She kept trying to dig into the side of my nail and she tried clipping away at it with her nippers. Knowing I needed to see my Podiatrist for this and I wanted to get a quick pedicure before going into his office. She kept trying again and again to cut into the side of my nail and even began using the bath water to try to soften the skin around it. This is when I firmly said, No and reminded her that I was going into the Doctor's office for this. The woman working next to her understood and translated and she finally quit. Afterwards, I spoke to the owner (who was now doing my manicure) hoping she would be receptive about my concerns. Don't waste your time speaking to the owner even in private. She is not receptive to any kind of feedback and she rebutted with "its the Doctor's who make your nails look ugly." Bottom line for some people there may be times when they have a medical issue (ie. diabetes) which could complicate services, especially from the heavily populated senior crowd who comes into the business. In the long run it will not matter. They will continue to have a steady stream of customers. read more

I cannot believe this place wasn't listed on Yelp. I have been here a long time ago when a friend and I were out here after dropping our car off for service at the Roseville Auto Mall. Needing to kill a few hours and in need of a pedicure we came here after seeing the "special" sign up. I recently returned after having a Dr. appointment out here in Roseville and was caught in the Crazy June 1st storm and not wanting to drive home in it I stopped for lunch and since it was still raining I thought I'd drive by and see if it was still around. Well it was and the "special" sign was up again offering $15 spa pedicures and $4 brow waxing. What an awesome deal and they did such a good job. The ladies were all friendly and not much of a wait. I will for sure be returning to this place. I mean a brow wax and a pedi for under $20 how can you go wrong? ****Updated at bottom*** Hieu just did a horrible job on my nails. The picture I have posted doesn't even do it justice. He did not listen to how I said I wanted the tips done and argued with me when I told him I would like the French tip further up on the nail. He did not do a base coat of gel- and quickly applied only one top coat and not even over the ends. Whole sections of nails didn't even have gel top coat or any gel on them at all and I had to tell him & show him & ask him to please fix it. My nails are thick & uneven there's no gel protecting the very ends of the nails, and there is some sort of black fuzz and tons of bubbles on my thumbs. The Gel is on parts of my cuticles on several nails and jagged bumps on several other ones too!!. I was also to get a pedicure but was so displeased I told them I changed my mind. I paid but was very upset at how awful the job was and told the lady up front. I went to my car after paying & they sent another new customer out to talk to me who was waiting to get a pedicure!! I showed her and she thought it was an awful job as well. I can't believe they sent another customer to talk to me. Very unprofessional. She told me to go in & talk to them & show them & I did & she followed me in. The lady up front filed off a few of the major jagged bumps & Hieu came up behind me while she was filing them and asked what the problem was and then started speaking to some of the other ladies working there in what I am assuming is Vietnamese so I could not understand him. It felt hostile as He stood behind me the whole time and was speaking in a language I couldn't understand. It was so uncomfortable that when the lady upfront told me to sit down & somebody would fix it- that I just told her I wanted to leave. No refund was offered. The other new customer decided to leave as well after seeing what happened to me. I will never be coming back and am headed over to Roseville Nails to have them do my pedicure and fix these awful nails.Roseville Nails does a great job. Profile Nails might be cheaper, but you get what you pay for and me having to get them redone elsewhere just made this a very,,,very expensive fill job. I would not recommend them at all. Worst fill and gel job I have ever had. :( ***Edited to add, I'm here down the road at Roseville Nail Spa on 1907 Douglas Blvd and they looked at the nails and told me that because the Gel was painted up over my cuticles, that I would have to have the Gel soaked off because they couldn't file it down without hurting my cuticles. Instead of just trying to make money off of me- they were honest & told me that soaking them off would take a long time & my other option was to just wait till the nail grows down long enough to no longer be covering the cuticles. This time I brought my sister here, and a different person ended up doing our pedicures. The service was terrible, the wait was long, and both of our ladies were too busy chit chatting among each other, rather than focusing on what we came in for. Our nails looked worse than ever. We ended up going to a different nail place to get them re-done that same day. The owner was very arrogant. They do a great job at pedicures but I was VERY DISAPPOINTED to learn they don't sanitize their pedicure tubs properly:( they use hand soap and wash it down. The state board REQUIRES EVERY SALON, no matter what price they are charging to follow the proper steps 1.Drain the water from the foot spa basin or bowl and remove any visible debris. 2.Clean the surfaces of the foot spa with soap or detergent, rinse with clean water, and drain. 3.After cleaning, disinfect* the surfaces with an EPA-registered hospital disinfectant (for description) according to the manufacturer's directions on the label. Surfaces must remain wet with the disinfectant for 10 minutes or the time stated on the label, which may be shorter. * For whirlpool foot spas, air-jet basins, "pipe-less" foot spas, and other circulating spas: It is best to disinfect by filling the basin with clean water, adding the appropriate amount of liquid disinfectant, and turning the unit on to circulate the disinfectant for the entire contact time. After disinfection, drain and rinse with clean water. Sadly they do not do step 3 which is required by law!!! So if you get an infection don't be surprised. If they start doing this I will give them 5 stars but until then I don't care how cheap their pedicures are its not worth the risk!! read more
