Best Buy is still in the game, but I'm not sure for how long. The shelves are regularly sparse or…read morebare these days and selection is random or slim; hopefully not taking the same path as Fry's. I still come to Best Buy to try to keep the business afloat because I like having a store close by that has something I can get today rather than wait for shipping, but this appears to be a diminishing reality. Best Buy appears to be raising their prices rather than posting prices at the traditional "Best Buy" price, which was usually a reasonable local price (not beating mega-online stores, but close enough to pay extra for convenience). It looks like their model has turned into the 'high-price posted so you can haggle it down by showing that (fulfilled by*) Amazon has it cheaper' model. Quite frankly, I'm tired of that game. I hate haggling, but I also hate the visible expectation of it. If every other store has it cheaper, why are you the "Best Buy"? I bought something there today. It was $20 more expensive than Amazon where I could get it by tomorrow with free shipping. $20 more than on the manufacturer's site as well (also with free shipping). That is about the most I'm willing to pay for convenience. I'm still trying, Best Buy... but please stay competitive without the need for the customer to haggle, it makes it very hard to refer people if I know I'm sending them in to a garage-sale like experience.

BUYER BEWARE. 14 DAY RETURN POLICY. unless you want to BUY a membership in order to return things…read more I've had SEVERAL issues with this Best Buy in particular. I own a media company and buy 4-5 DSLR and Cinema cameras per YEAR. Plus lens, memory cards, cords, etc. And I would NEVER buy it from BestBuy because of these issues. Sometimes we buy equipment for safety stock. In the event of a manufacturer defect after 14 days, we have to go direct to the manufacturer, which we have no relationship with. And often times they make it intentionally difficult to obtain contacts and get things warrantied. So having a trusted local big box store is a HUGE benefit for my business. Well, that partner is 100% NOT Best Buy. And I hope you make the same choice. Companies like this that rip people off shouldn't stay in business.

To the rude lady at the Apple Store:…read more Yesterday we went there to buy IPad for my niece working in a hospital and we started checking for an Apple Watch for our son. The reason we were looking at a watch is simple--we need a tracking device for our 5 year old which we use a watch. Whenever we travel, we have him wear one, and he actually enjoys being able to call and text us and it makes us feel safe knowing we can contact and track him. Ironically, the plan we currently pay for his basic watch is more expensive than the AT&T plan offered with an Apple Watch. That's why it actually makes more sense for us to get the watch and add it to our AT&T account. When you loudly announced to everyone that I was holding an "$800 watch," I honestly didn't understand your intention--especially when you followed it up with, "We don't sell Apple Watches to 5-year-olds." I was about to say, he's not buying it--I am But regardless, that kind of behavior was unnecessary and inappropriate. Yes, there are cheaper options in the store, and I happened to be holding a higher-priced one. But the unnecessary attitude was unwarranted--we were just trying to see what would fit him. Plus I even asked if there are watches for kids and you arrogantly said .. you don't sell Apple Watch to a 5 year old kid. There's just actually less than $200 for old versions (when I checked now) and you could have just politely told us, cheaper ones are there or we have cheaper options! But you chose to be judgmental , arrogant and rude. What made it worse was watching you gossip about us with another customer and you both started talking and giving us some judgmental stare while monitoring everything we were doing. I was at first reprimanded for taking the watch away from the table (I was trying to fit it with my son) .. if that's not allowed, it could have been secured the same way the phones are. On top of that, you raised your voice at my husband while informing him that the other watches on display don't come off. Very unprofessional behavior, good thing I wasn't in the mood to start a scene, but I did make sure to let another staff member know that your attitude was unacceptable . The other guy though to be fair who assisted us in buying the iPad was helpful and very accommodating. That lady who thinks she owns the store doesn't deserve to be in a customer service department! Sorry about the word.

Absolutely DO NOT go to Star Power, DO NOT!…read more Marc Block, manager, poor customer service. Built new home. Spent $60K on appliances. Example with $3.5K Napoleon grill. Marc recommended despite not being familiar with the product, which he eventually admitted to me. Great feeling. He helped design the outdoor kitchen so understood it was permanent and natural gas. Regardless, sold me propane so it doesn't work. My outdoor kitchen including masonry and taj mahal countertops was custom made to fit the specific Napoleon grill so expensive to switch and redo. It took 4-6 weeks between Napoleon and Marc to understand it was propane and needed a regulator. Still didn't work. I repeatedly requested a Napoleon rep come service the grill. No service and Marc simply referred me to Napoleon's national call center. Took another 4-6 weeks to finally learn from Napoleon, not Marc, that he sold me propane and therefore I also needed a conversion kit from propane to natural gas; AND if it had been natural gas, I wouldn't need the regulator or the conversion kit. Napoleon refused to sell me the conversion kit. Instead of doing the RIGHT THING and replacing the grill with natural gas, Star Power graciously offered to provide me the $26 conversion kit. I declined. After 3 more weeks of endlessly calling a number of diamond dealers, I still don't have a conversion kit. I'm done with Star Power and Napoleon! We just moved into our new home, and it's been 3 months and I still don't have grill. Absolutely Pathetic! Won't bother the other problems.
