Very happy with my experience with The Media Room!…read more We just moved and had them install a TV in our living room. They ran all the cords through the wall into an adjacent room so there's no cable box or anything in our living room--just the TV floating over the fireplace. The technicians who came to the house were extremely friendly (even played catch with my 3-year-old son and let him "help" them with the installation) and cleaned everything up after they were finished. They also took time to make sure I knew how to work everything. Justin, the owner, also stopped by during installation to make sure everything was going well, and followed up with a phone call after they had left to make sure I was happy with everything. The TV looks and works great, and the installation ended up costing about 20% less than the quote because there were a couple items the technicians didn't end up needing. I would definitely use The Media Room again!

He offered to run a wire outside the wall but still wasn't sure if that would connect them all. Ugh. I will now have to hire someone to re-wire and pay to do a lot of patching, repairing and repainting on a NEW BUILD. Billing is a disaster too. He swears I owe him $315 but can't prove it anywhere on any paperwork. (I don't, he has been paid in full.) Wires are hanging out all over ...it's a mess. After 2 hours of going around and around with Preston and him not being able to complete the job as required, I asked him to leave. The 3rd time he illegally entered our home because he kept forgetting tools he threw down 7 blank plates and said "there, my contract in complete." What? You should see the mess. *1 star, only because, it doesn't have a negative option.

We ordered a sound engineering report, met with him at a client's home where he performed some sound testing and we paid him for the report which we are still waiting for. One month went by, 2 months went by...still no report. We've tried multiple attempts to contact him and get a status. Any communication would've been helpful even if he's busy, we run a business ourselves so we get it. I always communicate with clients. After numerous attempts to his cell, we did call his office unexpectedly and he happened to answer and was surprised to hear from us and said the report will be ready "next week." We've been emailing and calling him for the last 4+ MONTHS and he has not emailed back, is not answering his phone, and is not contacting us back. We just want our report! This is THE most unprofessional experience we've ever had with a business after paying for what we agreed upon. At this point we just want a refund and cannot even get that back. I highly DO NOT recommend trusting this company for any of your sound testing needs unless you feel like having your money stolen from you and not receive anything in return. We are extremely disappointed and frustrated and will need to take this issue to the next level. I advise to avoid this company and Marlund E. Hale at all costs, save yourself the headache and grief.
