I chose City Car Radio and Air to install my dash cam because they had the best reviews I could…read morefind. I found out why they got such great reviews is because the owner Juan Hernandez has owned the business there in San Rafael for something like 27 years, and he's an absolute professional who is really high energy who is committed to quality and doing things right. I knew absolutely nothing about dash cams when I first went to City Car Radio, but Juan helped me learn all I needed to know. He took about 4 hours to do the install the Wolfbox G900 Tripro Dash Cam (Amazon: $329.99, list price: $429.99) I got but charged me for 3 hours. His base price for the installation is $400 for a 2 camera and when you see what it takes to install a dash cam correctly that won't seem expensive. He got for himself, wife, son, and daughter the Wolfbox G900 Pro ($249.99 at Amazon) and installed them all himself. The keywords to focus in on in the one I got and the ones he got is "Tripro" and just "Pro". The Tripro has 3 cameras and the Pro has 2 cameras. They both have very similar front and rear cameras where the rear camera mounts on the rear bumper, and the front camera is inside the dash cam itself that connects securely to the rear-view mirror and points forward. The difference in the Tripro is what the name suggests is that it has a 3rd camera, and the Wolfbox G900 Pro has 2 cameras. The Tripro has 2 models for the 3rd camera: "Cabin" and "Bumper". As the model name suggests, the Cabin's 3rd camera is mounted inside, typically on the window shield pointed to see inside the car, and the Bumper's 3rd camera is mounted typically on the front bumper for off-road driving to watch for road conditions that can't be seen with the front camera that is mounted higher. To save money there is also the Wolfbox G850 Pro (Amazon: $149.99, list price $219.99) that is the predecessor to the G900 Pro and has many of the same features, but has things like cameras with less resolution. Another thing I had done with my Tripro was to do as Juan said and get a "WOLFBOX USB C 4A Acc Hardwire Kit 11.48ft for All WOLFBOX Dash Cams, Converting 12V-24V to 5V, with Battery Drain Protection" on Amazon for $24.99 that is a hardwire kit that connects to the car's fuse box so power is always on rather than without it where the power is done with a connector that connects to the cigarette lighter. This hardwire kit's main purpose is for something called Parking Mode so if the car is bumped or hit when the car is off, the dash cam turns on and records the event. This YouTube video, along with what Juan told me, really helped me decide that Wolfbox is the brand and the Tripro with the 3rd camera is what I wanted, and the model I needed was "Cabin" to record any interaction that may happen with the police: "Testing the Wolfbox G900 TriPro: Cabin + Bumper + Dash Cam!" https://youtu.be/dfRSQHpUdF0?si=XfvPzWv2EjIcqz9i This review is for the Wolfbox G900 Pro (without the 3rd camera) that will help you decide and maybe save a few bucks: "Testing the Wolfbox G900 Pro: Incredible 4K Dash Cam Footage!" https://youtu.be/U3j_341d93I?si=3dkGsJO-MF5_ug9m There are several YouTube videos that cover the Wolfbox G850 Pro you can look at if you're interested in this one. If you followed this entire review, you have learned everything I have learned with Juan. Juan, thanks for the great experience selecting and installing the dash cam in my car. I will never worry again about being wrongfully accused of causing an accident or being stopped by the police and not having a recording of the whole interaction.

Got a reasonable quote to have a new radio and backup camera installed to my 2007 Honda Accord…read moreafter reaching out via Yelp. When I came into the shop to have the work done, Sayed said that because my radio was more complicated than he was able to assess, he was supposed to quote me $100 higher, even though I had provided the links to the products beforehand (because Yelp combined the two links I sent into one line when viewed on desktop, he wasn't able to figure out how to click into them ahead of me dropping off the car). That said, Sayed was generous enough to split the difference at $50 and then proceeded to deliver excellent customer service - he was attentive, thoughtful, and even gave a personal walkthrough of all the controls and other tips to keep in mind when I picked up the car. I've been using the unit for a couple of days now and can say the installation was flawless. Would come here again and recommend Precision Auto Stereo to anyone.

Wrote this same review on Street Beat as they are one and the same…read more This experience was by far the worst that I came with so much time, money, and patience. Please note that this business is also connected with PRECISION AUDIO (https://www.yelp.com/biz/precision-auto-stereo-hayward?osq=precision+audio&override_cta=Request+pricing+%26+availability). I initially went to Precious Audio to install a new head unit and back seat entertainment system for my 2006 Range Rover Sport. I wasn't going to push forward on the entertainment system because, it wasn't what I was looking for. Later he advised that the system he sold me had all the newer streaming apps such as Disney+, feature to connect the phone, and head unit to stream the same visuals. Didn't happen. In fact, it was a lot of back and forth because, my purchase was more so treated as a DIY project and not so much that there was experience that they knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it. Which would've been fine if they had stated that initially. I spent a great deal of money for them to work a project they clearly haven't done before. Also, this isn't a shade statement to the installers that do the work who are amazing. This is all directed to the people who run the place. In a 2006 Range Rover Sport the screen dash unit shows the stock feature such as AWD functionality, modes, etc. When my aftermarket purchased from precision/street beat head unit was installed, that screen no longer worked. I asked them what happened and why isn't it on? We went down a tremendous RABBIT HOLE that only took time and money. Nor did they fix the screen for free. That also came at a cost which I disagree with because, it was their guarantee to get everything functioning as normal with the addition of the new head units functionality as well. So just a heads up, their prices are marked up to the highest possible. I guarantee a majority of their products can be found at other businesses for a cheaper cost. SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK FIRST. You're not getting deals here, I promise you that. I was given an initial set up which days later ended up going out. An error would pop up on the screen that said "CAUTION! AMP OVERLOAD." Then he advised me getting a higher model head unit, which of course I had to pay for. In addition, to get my top screen working they asked for the stock head unit (what if it got tossed out?) and apparently had to buy a part that costed hundreds of dollars which I never saw the receipt for, FYI. With all this back and forth, I asked if a discount can be given. For context, I started this project in mid year 2024. So I really did my part to stick it out with them and try to have it work. Especially because this project cost about 4-6k. I pointed out how JL Audio sells the same amp they sold me at a cheaper cost. I showed them how Pioneer has the same deck they sold me at a cheaper cost. And Mo stated they didn't get the "go ahead" from the business to sell at those prices. Really? You're a business who bought the product already. What permissions do you need? Fast forward to present day. The backseat entertainment still doesn't have Disney+. At first they stated that they just needed me to stop by to get it fixed. When I called to set up a meet that turned into, "We have to send the hardware back." for an update. Come on.. How am I going to be without a vehicle, yet again? There's way more pressing things in life to address than to be taken down a rabbit hole with individuals who DO NOT have integrity. I couldn't even get a price match on products in which their retailers sold it for. In addition, my current higher model head unit they recommended still BLACKS OUT occasionally. Like I said, what's the point of going back when I stuck it out with them for a long time, invested good money, and gave a great deal of patience and understanding. I'll never trust STREET BEAT or PRECISION AUDIO to do any of my work. I really hope car audio consumers come across this post to watch their back and their pockets. DO NOT COME HERE.
